GENRE; YA/PARANORMAL-ROMANCE/MYSTERY
The first book, in the spin off to the Shadows Falls series, and i loved it! This one is based on Della; our kickass, sarcastic vamp! If you haven't read the Shadow Falls series ( starting with - Born at Midnight), i strongly advice you to read it before staring Della's books!

Della Tsang and her two roommates, Kylie and Miranda, are still at Shadow Falls - a camp/boarding school for supernatural t ...more

Reborn by C.C. Hunter is the first book in the Shadow Falls: After Dark spin-off and it's such a relief to be back in the comforts of the beloved Shadow Falls camp. I don't want another love triangle. I really don't. I understand that this is a YA book and romantic conflict is a given, but I see way too many similarities with Kylie's story already and it's becoming a re-run and a love triangle would become the center of this series AGAIN.

Della is kick-ass. She has goals to accomplish, organizations to join, missions to lead, shit to figure out, family to find, people she wants to prove herself to. She realizes all this and she's been strictly "Yes I see the ...more

No, we're vampires. And we're no more monstrous than any other species. Humans included. Good, bad, and evil isn't species-specific. Don't you ever question that....

Ugh, where to start.... I was just frustrated from start to finish basically. Why do Della, Miranda and Kylie insist on talking like preteens! Its as if the author found every cliche to not say any slightly derogatory or racy words. "B with an itch" ..... I rest my case. They are like 17! If you insist on referring to your breasts as your "girls" I can no longer take you seriously. It's not cute, you sound like an idiot. The plot was interesting but it was a little jumbled at times and I couldn'

I like this sequel series focused on Della more than the first series about Kylie. She's a cute character, but she can be so self sacrificing and is like this perfect person who never does the wrong thing and it's hard to relate to her. Della is more realistic and gets mad, sometimes hurts others feelings. and has flaws. That makes her more likeable, seeing her mature and let people in to see her true feelings. I like the love triangle she has with Chase and Steve, although Chase ...more

I wanted to read this book because I've heard fantastic things about the Shadow Falls series. So when the opportunity to read Reborn came up I jumped at the chance. Reborn is the first book of the Shadow Falls series spin-off, Shadow Falls After Dark.
What I immediately like about this books is the characters. Hunter makes you feel as if you're already acquainted with the characters. That you're one of their friends just sitting in the room listening to whatever's going on. Della Tsang is the mai ...more

REBORN is an absolute must-read addition to C.C. Hunter’s world of Shadow Falls, one that doesn’t require a read of the earlier books. This first novel in the new spin-off series, told from Della Tsang’s point of view, is a captivating, fun and exciting read with a number of puzzles to solve, a snarky, stubborn, fierce but very likable heroine, two swoon-worthy paranormal boys, and an ending that is a game-changer for one of its characters.

My only problem with this book was that Kylie wasn't the narrator. As much as I love Della, Kylie is Kylie. I don't know if it's that I relate to her better or that I'm simply more used to her character. While I understand that this series is about Della and will therefore be from her point of view, I'm crossing my fingers and toes for a novella or two from Kylie's POV that *hopefully* has sexy scenes between her and Lucas! :) Oh, also, my one other complaint is that the male protagonist is name

I feel like I just gobbled up this book and never stopped to breath! It was so good! I've never read anything by CC Hunter before but she was recommended to me by a friend. I'm not familiar with Shadow Falls which is probably a series that came before this one. Regardless, it all made sense, there was nothing confusing about this book it was straight forward and to the point. It told a story, portrayed emotions, showed character growth and had dimensional characters to boot.

I received an ARC of this book to read and give an honest review.
Reborn was my first taste of C.C Hunters writing. I was definitely drawn in from the first page and could read this book for hours. I fell in love with all of the characters right off the bat and the way the book was written allowed me to put myself in Della’s shoes. I was so annoyed while reading this story that I almost gave up and didn't finish. I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story without explanation as to what was happening. There were terms like FRU-an acronym I'm sure stood for something but I had no idea what. I slowly realized that this was probably not the first book in a series. About half way through the book I realized what I had done. I meant to purchase Born at Midnight which was the first book in the Shadow Falls Series but wh

The best shadowfalls book so far. I love Della and her stubborn attitude. All of Hunter's characters are wonderful and this book had all of them. Kylie sometimes infuriated me with her complaining, Della has a take charge attitude that gets her into more trouble then she intends. Burnett and Della's fight's are so funny and the love triangle in this story I liked better than Kylie's love interests. Chase is sarcastic and cocky and besides Burnett and Holiday, he is my favorite character. I finis

Throughout this book we see Della Tsang's struggle to be thought of as equal to the male agents. As a woman, we have many struggles in life to be seen as equal to guys, so the plot was very realistic. This plot wasn't missing anything but I thought the book overall was missing some action, which brought the book in my eyes down to four star.

I haven't read any of C.C. Hunter's other books, as this was another series, but still understood everything.
The premise of Reborn seemed promising. A school for teenage supernatural creatures . . . What could go wrong?
The writing. I sincerely commend C.C. Hunter for having the willpower to sit down and complete several books, but I wish she, or her editors, would've edited Reborn bette ...more

Reborn has a very interesting plot. The storyline has potential, but I was distracted by copious repetitiveness, creating interruptions in the story's flow. I found the characters intriguing especially since it is a cross over series, bringing camp Shadow Falls back into play.
The ending makes me look forward to seeing where we will be taken next.
I received this ARC copy of Reborn from St. Martin's Press in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication May 20, 2014.

I love when I'm already enjoying a story, and it just keeps getting better and better. This was an impulse buy for me, so I didn't do any research on it. If I had, I would've known this was a spinoff series. I was a little confused in the beginning, but there were plenty of recaps of important events from the original series throughout the story. I'm totally girl crushing on Della. She's pretty damn badass. And snarky. We'd get along well. And omg: sex talk. Teenagers have sex (shocking, I know)

Della Tsang is a vampire who attends Shadow Falls, a camp/school for young supernaturals to help them cope with the real world. I must mention that the rules are very relaxed at this school/camp, it doesn't really care about how many classes you skip or what you do at night after curfew. That is because the camp/school director Holiday is really more of a friend than an authority figure.

Ugh Della Della Della! You kind of got me on my nerves sometimes but needless to say I think I would've done the same as you if I were in your shoes.
Really loved this book and I can't wait to read more and see where C.C. Hunter takes this series.
Definitely recommend this.

This was waaaaaaaaaaay better than Kylie's story. And this is just the first book.
The only reasons I'm not giving this full five stars is...
1. The conversation of Della and Burnett about him not letting her investigate because she's a girl. I thought it was great this was brought up, because I felt like that with Kylie, too, but she didn't seem to notice, so I'm glad Della did. But I was only glad the first time. Then they had the conversation again...and again...and again. I got it. Th ...more

“Burnett let out a low growl and motioned for the agent to leave. Then he glanced back at Miranda. "How were you able to pull this off?"
Miranda shrugged. "I don't know." The girl's green eyes grew a sheen of tears. "They were going to hurt Della and Kylie. I panicked and just did it."
Della found her chest filling up with warmth. Kylie reached over and held Miranda's hand.
"And you did a great job," Kylie said. "I'm so proud of you."
"Me, too," Della added.
"Group hug," Miranda said, holding out her arms.
"No damn hugs!" Burnett snapped. "You can undo it, right?" he asked.
"I'm pretty sure I can."
"Oh, hell!" He raked a hand over his face. "Try to do it. Try really hard. I don't think our jail is set up to house kangaroos.”
