Willow Brooks has an uncanny talent for predicting the future.
Too bad she can't see her own path. Her sister, Rory, is now married to a werewolf. She had seen that coming long before her sister or Maverick did. What she didn't see coming was the hulking werewolf she now lived with becoming her best friend, or his missing brother becoming her obsession.
Lynn Leite is an author, artist, teacher and mother of three. Her wild imagination, and gift for gab blended perfectly in 2009, when she decided to write it all down. In addition to writing, she designs and illustrates her own covers.
I read this book because I liked the character Willow in the first book and I also found Ryder fascinating in the first book and wanted to know what/why he was hiding. Willow was a great character, she is funny, strong, knows what wants and doesn't, knows what she can and can't do but doesn't complain about it just gets on with it. Ryder was fabulous. He had a mystery about him, and he strong, and was definitely an alpha but was again sweet too. I have to admit that Ryder had the oomph that was missing for me in book one. This book is mainly about them, but you also get a lot on the rest of the pack also. The first half is generally about what is stopping Ryder from claiming Willow (with appropriate grovelling), and then the second half is a mystery involving Willow with lots of new stuff about pack thrown in.
Willow and Ryder have wonderful chemistry and heat that you can feel. It is a great level of intense, while still being sweet. But again as I did with the previous book review I have to say that I think there will be quite a few readers out there who like shifter books but would find the smex scenes in this book a little too tame and not descriptive enough. But I think they will not be disappointed in the alpha Ryder.
I enjoyed this book more than the first because the storyline just had more to it, and I there was just something more about Willow and Ryder than there was about Rory and Maverick. However, several things were the same for both books, and that is the funny banter between characters, the chemistry, and the family love and loyalty. I also like that these books are not just all about the couple getting together, I like how this part of the story is settled by the half way point. I like that you actually get to see charactes being together. I also think that the family love and loyalty is obviously something that will run throughout this series, I am hoping the same can be said for seeing couples together.
The only down side to this book was the editing issues. There were more in this book than the first and it was distracting. I hope Ms Leite takes the time and gets rid of them before publishing book 3. Will I read this again? Yes
Ranger has been living with Willow for months. Ever since she was forced to kill a feral shifter to save her sister Rory's life. Royal and the family are concerned his family might try to kill her for vengeance. In the meantime, they have become so close, they are best friends! Ryder has finally figured out that running from Willow is not only making him feel worse, he's on the verge of going feral. It's time to go home and hope Willow will not only forgive him for the rude way he treated her, and for running, but that she will give him a chance to prove she is his mate, and very much wanted. Ranger knows Willow is sad, but she isn't confiding in him, and he's worried about her. Just as Ryder gets home, one of Willows clients is murdered, and her home is trashed. The brothers have to work out their relationship with Willow; she loves Ryder, but she has no intention of giving up her best friend. It turns out, like her sisters wolf, her wolf is special too. The council wants to meet them, someone is threatening her, she is newly mated, Christmas is coming, and so is their mother! No pressure! The sisters can handle it, with a little help from friends and family! I highly recommend this series! I
As the series progresses another surprise happens...you can find out what we you continue with her wonderful series.I'm recommending that you enjoy them all even though they can be standalone!!!💟
The book is filled sugar and spice and wolves tails , that's what a good shifter romance is made of. I enjoyed the book the first time I read and still love it the 5th time I have read it.
He ran when he found that Willow was his true mate. Ryder was afraid she would die and he couldn’t go through that again. He came back and claimed her then saved her from the reality of a vision. Great series.
Could not finish this book. Too short so everything was all smushed up and not enough issues that were important. IMO the heroine was way too strong for this kind of lead and its already hard to invision that with a very ALPHA wolf. He gave in constantly and that is just not what my alpha boyfriends do. They do not take her being a bossy bitch, letting her live with another man and definately do not decide that the other man can live with them when they get their HEA. Now I don't know for certain this happend, because I broke up with this book before I could get to that part, but I am sure if you start it, you will see why. Much better shifter books out there.

This is the second book in the series and I happily purchased book three before I was even finished. I quite simply love the story's. The author has some issues with the editing that is sorely lacking and in most instances that alone would cause me to review this book with nothing higher that three stars. However this story....these characters are just too darn appealing, you can't help but want to know more. This book was a perfect complement to the first book. I can't wait to start on book three! Enjoy!
Nice bit of fluff. Not a lot of depth to this one. The secrets were more or less told without a lot of emotional tension connecting background. The primary danger in the plot resolved with a whimper. Interesting progress on the were society and the family front. Lots of set up for more interesting plots, with hints of big things coming. In this one I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and was disappointed when it didn't.
The talented author needs an editor - terrible writing ruins a great story. A psychic human knows her mate is a shifter when he runs away from her. His excuse for being a man-child was losing a teenage mate. The h is awesome, very understanding and competent. The thread that runs through these books links the special nature of these women to creating a different future for the pack. I liked it but again the Telling and terrible formatting makes it difficult to read.
You know, I liked the story and it's really a 3.5. I read the first story in this series Shifted by Lynn Leite. It was exciting enough I was loathe to put it down. My biggest problems with it are editorial and grammatical. This doesn't mean I won't be reading the next book in this series!
I really ha high hopes for this book...the firt one had me on te edge of my seat the whole time...not so much with this one. I liked it, but I wish there was more resistance when it came to willow taking Ryder. I feel like there was a lot missing from this story
This second story in the series was a bit short and it seemed like everything moved so quickly. This story didn't have the savor factor to it. It was more like fast food than fine dining. JMHO.
