LMAO!!! Just saw that the author said this about the book:

"I hope you like it. It's my very first Romance novel. No weirdness or strange sex. No cliffhanger and no sequel. NO companion novel... Do not even ask!!! Just a happily ever after. NOT MY KIND OF BOOK!! But I challenged myself.

Ohhhh and no love triangle. That's right bitches... I did it. No cliffy and no triangle. I went all out for you."

Yup. I need to read this!!!

I think this the first book that I've ever rated as "1-star"...
Why you say???
Well, first of all I felt this book totally lacked originality... It has a lot in common with two of my most favourite books.. I'm not naming them, but I think anyone can guess once they've read this one out...
Secondly, the heroine is seriously a dumb-ass... She can't make a fucking decision for shit!!! She's so insecure about her boyfriend- i.e. our Hero that she always keeps one leg out of the relationship...

Apparently 2 stars = 'it was ok'

No. No, this was not ok!

I don't know about fake book world, but in real world, horrid things do not happen in such quick succession!

People do not get together, rage at eachother, break up, get back together, rage once again, break up, have his mother have a stroke, kiss and make up, RAGE AGAIN, break up, get back together, have his father die, RAGE, break up AGAIN, get back TOGETHER, and then she gets preggas.

Nuh uh. Sorry. Doesn't happen.

And I'm not over-exagge

First of all I think the author needs to go look up the definition for ADHD as soon as possible because she has CLEARLY mistaken it with sociopathic rage. WTF is up with everyone (and I do mean everyone) being perfectly at ease at the main character's rage issues? His girlfriend has to constantly check herself and measure her words because heaven forbid the idiot "looses" it and tears up a room. I think he trashed their apartment twice? Even her own brother is cool with his sister dating a socio ...more

This book grabbed me and drew me competely in, I was loving it's! Then it kind of became this reckless mess, and I got so frustrated. I'm not a fan of my hero acting like "I love you," but then totally doing really stupid shit and pushing the heroine away which causes her to blame herself (here's a hint, he is acting like a selfish is NOT your fault!!!), to only then relentlessly persue her yet again. Yeah that explains about 75% of this book. On a positive note, love the gay
This book was awesome! It started out as funny and unexpected. It had its serious notes and its fair share of drama….as well as some incredibly irritating pieces, but I can say that I really enjoyed it.

I loved the first meeting between Loch and Erin. I think the last time I laughed that hard, I was reading Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. I loved the set up…both of them rented the apartment, not knowing that it had been rented to the other person. I loved the initial bet and was slightly disa

Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Another rock star book…Seriously? OMG. I’m such a fucking sucker and so fucking predictable sometimes, I make myself sick. So yes, folks…here I am again, sucked into another story involving a musician. I can’t help it. The blurb was too good to pass up. My last book was on the darker side, so I wanted something light a

I was thinking about it and I'm not sure which way to go with this one. On one hand it gave me a whole range of emotions from giddy laughing out loud, to that nervous fluttering in my tummy from the anticipation of what was to come next. I even felt my hands get clammy at one point. Even though it pissed me off in the middle and there were some things I really didn't like, the fact that I felt, like, every emotion there is at one point or another, it kinda does dese

I'm finished with this book finally.. Admittedly it took me some time..

For me this book had two sides.. The 'good' and the 'not so good'..
And that is how i 'm gonna review it..

The 'GOOD' side:
There were so many elements i really loved..
Firstly the nice word-game with the side.. My side doesn't only refair to the sides they picked in the appartment.. Mostly is about the two sides of people or the two sides of the same story.. I found it briliant if you ask me..

I almost didn't write a review for this one. While I really love Tara's work this book just didn't do it for me. At times I wanted to slap some sense into the MC. Some parts were slow, some were too fast so I never knew what exactly happened. The ending felt rushed and once again the MC's mood swings were really overwhelming. I also felt like there was so much taken from two of my favorite books (I won't mention the names)and that also made it harder to enjoy the story. Don't get me wrong, the b ...more

Very immature writing and characters. Man, I have picked nothing but winners lately!!! Somebody please recommend an awesome book that is not a 50 shades knockoff and something that does not sound like a 13 year old's diary!!!

I actually bought this book on amazon. It had glowing reviews there from people who read Brown's other works. It wasn't so great for me. I really didn't like either the hero or the heroine. Both of them were selfish, self-absorbed, and when they weren't, they were just stupid. Since this is a rock-and-roll story, a lot of time was focused on the fame of the hero. What I didn't get was why the heroine, who was supposedly so smart, couldn't figure out that she signed up for groupies and panty chuc ...more
I can't help it...I judge books by their covers. From this cover I assumed I was going to read a fun and light battle between boy and girl. Then to further my expectations the synopsis kind of backed up my assumptions. Well, you know what assuming does? It makes me WRONG. My Side by Tara Brown is one emotional roller coaster filled with overly dramatic characters and an unhealthy relationship. Erin and Lochlan are perfect on the outside. Both characters are beautiful, smart, and talented. On th ...more
The whole being young and selfish and wishy-washy was ok. I'm not sure why everyone kept blaming Erin for running off because if my boyfriend acted like Loch and then told me I had to get used to it and trust him because that isn't the real him, he's only real with me... ummm yeah that would NEVER fly. Honestly, MY SIDE was a lot more mature than I was expecting. I was pretty surprised about that, I can't say that I actually had any warning. o.O

Lochlan was unbelievably full of himself. I saw a review before I started with a pic of one swoony guy that was being declared Loch. I don't see it. I actually found quite a few of his actions to be way over controlling, and in some cases, kind of violent. He wasn't a swoon for me,

This book was crazy yet, it sucked me in. It definitely had its fill of drama.

What I loved about it:
1. The ending
2. Lochlan's nickname of "Princess" for Erin.
3. The author was able to pull the insta-love off really well.
4. The banter between all the cast of characters.
5. I liked how the story flowed and seemed a bit fast paced.
6. The first few kissing scenes.
7. Their sweet moments together.
8. The way they look at each other.

Lochlan and Erin find they are both owners of the same place. They

Hmmm... Where to start? It wasn't a great read, but it was an ok read. The last 30% was really the best, but I nearly stopped reading before I got there. Maybe it's because it's not been long since I read Thoughtless, but this book made me think a lot about that one. (However, it did NOT involve a love triangle and it did NOT make my heart stop and break half a billion times... more it was the hot rocker and the "I-can't-make-up-my-mind" female).

Lochlan is sort of similar to Kellan although he's

I have a love-hate relationship with this book.

Picture this. A batter steps up to the plate. A fast ball comes and the guy smacks it high into centerfield. It's gonna be a home run. But wait--a random bird flys into play. The ball hits the bird. Oh no! The potential home run is instantly ruined!!!

That pretty much sums up this novel!

The beginning was awesome. The characters were awesome. The plot, the progression of the story, the sexual chemistry---all of it 'outta the park'! And everything to

Ran across this book while searching for another and decided to go ahead and buy it, it was on sale for 99 cents and if it happened to suck it wouldn't be so bad losing a buck, but I didn't hate it, it didn't suck and I actually enjoyed it.

A hottie rocker with tattoos, yum!!! A law student and some mase, bound to make a good story. I laughed, got upset, yelled a little and my heart hurt a little but I put in my big girl panties and didn't cry.

There are so many things wrong with this book. Some of the characters were loveable. Some of the scenes were good. But over all I would hate for anyone to ever think this kind of relationship was ok. Hero is controlling, he gives her orders like she is a dog (stay home and don't leave, No you can't work there in fact I have threatened anyone who hires you), he doesn't listen to her AT ALL (they even make a point of pointing it out often), he doesn't value her dreams or work she puts into it beca ...more

I have myself a new book boyfriend and his name is Lochlan. Yes I said it and proud of it. Now on to my review! Erin and Lochlan meet by faith how i see this one just happen to end up renting same apartment and love how those 2 meet and her using her mace on him was awesome and funny. I couldn't stop laughing with that. I've been meaning to read this book for a while. I bought the paperback because I hoped to see the author at a signing soon. Though that won't be happening as soon as I hoped, I still decided now was a great time to read the book.

I wasn't hoping for anything other than a great story and I got that. The characters are flawed and they got on my nerves as often as they got on each other's as well. Even though there were times when I wanted to give them a talking to about their habits and behaviors,

I had a love hate relationship with this book. While I found it started off great, by the end I was getting so pissed off. I remember looking at my kindle at 74% and contemplating just not reading the rest. Let me say I CANNOT stand for a female to be a freaking doormat in a book. The girl who says "Oh he cheated but I deserved it, so it's okay baby.."... WTF?! This happened A LOT in this book.

Sheesh, what a rollercoaster. It felt like they were together or broken up on alternating pages for a while there. And, seriously, I'm fairly certain that Dean was the only real friend Erin had. Everyone else was too busy convincing her to blame herself for every single problem she and Loch had, even her own freaking brother (not Loch thankfully, or I would have never made it through the whole book). The story did have some potential though. I would have given it another star or two if it had fe ...more
I can't stomach Erin. It's only the beginning of this book and already I'm crazy annoyed at this chick. She is incredibly judgmental and mean. Lochlan has done nothing but like her--I don't know why--since he met her. She, in turn, has sprayed him with mace, insulted him at every opportunity, and acted childishly superior to him.

Are there really people out there who are so pretentious as to believe that musicians are the scum of the earth?? I'd honestly like to meet these people and punch them

I just wrote a whole long review for this and then it just freaking disappeared. So I take it that was God's way of telling me it was too long. Now I'm gonna sum it up so y'all don't get bored. I liked it over all, but I didn't like Erin or all of the breaking up and getting back together. It made the book way longer then it had to be and it just got kind of monotonous. I liked Lochlan and the guys in the band. And I liked that it showed you that life is better if you just go with the flow and n ...more

I believe growing up in a really small town gives a person a little advantage when it comes to the imagination. You need one or you go mad.
Needless to say, mine saved me. After it got me into trouble first, that is. That's the problem with a vivid imagination, all the lies you tell.
