I had high hopes and they were promptly dashed. H/h have been emailing for 2 months as H is her bro’s army buddy when suddenly H stops writing. Heroine’s bro has been injured and recovering and H comes to visit. H’s nickname Big Game Hunter coz he’s a manwhore and he slept with someone as soon as he was on his break. H didn’t tell h that he was the one emailing her when they were introduced. Heroine already had feelings for the man she was emailing with. Heroine is also under a self-imposed celi

I have read all of the books in the Perfect Kisses Series in the past couple of weeks, and the one lasting feeling that all of them have left with me is happiness. Falling For Her Soldier is book three, Playing at Love and Speaking of Love being the first and second books.

If you are looking for the perfect curl up with a good book on a summer or winter afternoon book, then this is one.
This is a fantastic story, it sucked me in from the first page and kept me turning those pages. I loved the main characters in Ellie and Charlie and the secondary characters were just as much fun. Especially Jane.

3.5 Very sweet stars!
Falling for Her Soldier was a sweet romance, the kind that puts a smile on your face for most of the book.
Falling for Her Soldier is book three in the Perfect Kiss series. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series but I don’t feel like that hindered the story at all. Ellie Bell has been treated badly by guys one to many times. So after her last breakup she decides to go one full year without any men. To help her stick to her goal, Ellie completely focuses on runni ...more

Loved Falling For Her Soldier!
In Falling for Her Soldier we see Ellie having strong feelings for the man who helped save her brother while in Afghanistan. Ellie has never actually seen Charlie, she only knows him through the emails they've been exchanging since he first contacted her to tell her about her brother's injury.
But after a few months the emails stop (Charlie stops writing after he's goes on leave and heads back home) Ellie can't forget how Charlie made her feel through these ...more

It is lovely to read such a delightful story with great characters and plenty of humorous moments, too! I have to confess, some parts of it had me laughing out loud - especially the dance scenes and those involving references to Michael Bublé!
Ellie Bell has had enough of bad romances and has self-imposed a man-less year for herself. It has just twenty-four days to go. That shouldn’t be a problem, should it? Well, she has been exchanging emails with Charlie Johannson and is looking forward to mee ...more

I had the honor of reading this book early and I couldn't put it down. The premise is cute and heartwarming as can be, and the characters are real and wonderful and I found myself smiling the whole way through. Ellie and Hunter (I'm calling dibs on him now, by the way) had the best chemistry and watching them fight it was so much fun. Watching them give in was even better. Hunter's little omission kept me riveted and Ellie sticking to her guns on a promise she made to herself was admirable. From

*jumpyclaps* This book was soooo sweet and swoony and I. just. loved. it. I love stories that feature the guy falling for the best friend's little sister and throw in a little bit of You've Got Mail quirkiness and a little Dirty Dancing heat and you've got a winner.
I loved how Charlie fell for Ellie and was ready to prove himself and change his playboy ways. I loved the history he shared with his best friend, Sam, and their fellow soldiers. I loved how the whole reveal came about. Fa ...more

One of the most enthralling, sweeping, heartfelt romances I've read in a long time. Realistic and authentic, sexy and sweet. The pacing of this love story was spot on perfection, and I fell hard for the brave and conflicted soldier Charlie...right along with the strong and immensely relatable Ellie. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Excuse me for the exclamation point overuse, but…
OMG!!! Charlie is so adorable!!!
Well, phew! Glad I got that out of my system now.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting to like this one. Falling For Her Soldier: A Perfect Kisses Novel was originally a case of “I liked the first two books in this series and can't imagine the third topping them” (I loved loved loved Mac and Rick!) and “I'm not sure I'm interested in ballerina heroines enough to empathise with them.” I should've known better—I was in the ...more

This was my first adult novel by Ophelia London and I am so glad I picked this one up for review! I loved Ophelia's Definitely, Maybe in Love, so I was excited to read one of her adult contemporaries next!
Falling For Her Soldier definitely didn't disappoint. When I first started reading I felt a little deja vu. I loved the idea of a romance where swooning pen pals turned into a face-to-face love story, and knowing that the gorgeous guy was also a soldier? Yep, I was sold! Charlie “Big Game Hunter” Johansson was once the player and now the reformed good guy falling for his email message companion. He was lusting and starry-eyed like a teen boy in a girl’s locker room, but Ellie was not going to be an easy sell!

When I was given the opportunity of reading this as an ARC I did a little happy dance; Playing at Love was the first Bliss book I ever read, I loved it and subsequently Speaking of Love and I'd always hoped that Tess' brother Charlie would get his story.

I was engrossed in this book from the minutes I started reading it. Having danced for several year when I was younger, I’ve always been drawn to stories that involve even the slightest bit of dance. Plus, a dance teacher and a soldier? How cute is that?! Falling For Her Soldier is one of those books that you can pick up and read in an heartfelt afternoon and one to surely leave you wanting more.

Ophelia London is officially on my auto buy list. I have recently read most of her books and they just keep getting better. I received an early copy of Falling For Her Soldier for an honest review and once I started, I couldn't put it down. I had to read until it was finished, so nothing was accomplished at my house today. Thanks Ophelia!! Ophelia’s writing style and the way she weaves the story together is fantastic. The romance between Charlie and Ellie is a slow build, but you feel the sparks

After putting herself on a 365-day retreat from men, Ellie is only interested in being a friend to Hunter when her brother introduces him. What Ellie doesn’t know is that Hunter is actually Charlie, the man that she has been corresponding with since her brother was hurt in a mission, and the one that she has been having feelings for. Knowing the stories that Ellie’s brother has told her about Hunter and his womanizing ways, Ellie knows for sure to stay away from him but find herself with a flick

How cute was this book? I totally have a thing for books with anything dance, which I didn't realize this one was until I started reading. The heroine is a dance teacher! Paired with the soldier part of the title, and I was sold.

I really liked this one. He's a solider who rescued her brother and kept her informed of what was happening. She kept him in the real world by continuing to email him and have conversations. What happens when she swears shes done with playboys and the biggest playboy ever just happens to be the same guy she has been talking to?

I found this book very sweet and delightful. I found it weird (in a good way) how everything that went on was in a matter of days, just barely a week. It felt like they have know each other for a while the way the book was paced (Maybe it was just me that feels that way). I loved the connection between Ellie and Charlie. I wish he had told her sooner about what he was hiding but it wouldn't have been much of a book if he had. I loved the story it was fast paced and very enjoyable. I loved how on

Respect. Respect for each other is so important in a relationship, and it seems like such a large part of what made me fall in love with this story. These two characters have that for each other. Ellie respects Charlie for his love of the Army, and Charlie feels the same way for Ellie's love of dance as well as her need to reach her goal. He is so determined to help her reach that goal that he is willing to sacrifice his own need. I was so happy to see Charlie's friends and family in Falling for

I loved this book from the first page. The chemistry between Ellie and Hunter (Charlie) was sizzling. Ellie was on a ban of men for a year, nearing the end of the year when she meets Hunter at the SW. Hunter is a womanizer and Ellie's brother's best friend from the army. Ellie knows Hunter as Charlie from emails, where they connected, when her brother was injured. Can she believe that Hunter is that same person that she knew as Charlie. Loved the fun and the banter from these two.

I had a smile on my face the entire book. I instantly loved Ellie and Charlie (liked both viewpoints) and could totally hear them in my head, sarcasm and all. This a great sweet and sexy read! Perfect third book and London does not disappoint. (Love that this is a "clean" romance with all the heat but without all the smexy descriptions of body parts).

Loved this story about a soldier and a ballerina! Lots of great chemistry and the dancing stuff was so swoony! I also loved that these characters got to know each other a bit through email before actually meeting--even if only one of them knew that. And anytime Michael Buble comes on the radio, I'll be thinking of this book and smiling.

This was a very sweet book. I absolutely adored Charlie and his struggles to prove he wasn't worthy of the nickname "Big Game Hunter" anymore. The progression of the romance felt very natural, too; it was so easy to believe these two fell for each other as quickly as they did.
