It is a nice light read on Patrick Pearse's life with plenty of photos that explain who is in them and where it was taken.

I find Patrick Pearse to be an incredibly interesting historical character. His transformation from teacher to revolutionary happened fairly quickly. His life and personality were so full of contrasts it's fairly difficult to see how exactly it happened. It is fascinating to try to find out why he took the path that he did and this book was a great examination of it. The writing was not much, the pictures were the focus, as they should be since there were so few of them. It was also nice to get ...more
