To see my full review:

Truth be told, in the beginning I was a little nervous about the “insta-love” relationship that was brewing between Hailee and Alex. I’ve never really been a fan of instant relationships, and that is definitely what happens in the beginning of this intense novel, but there a rhyme and reason behind it all, and Nicole soon put my worry to rest as she began to flesh out the characters and the truth behind all their identities came to light. I must admit

Review abridged from my book review blog, Paisley Reader.

Soul Survivor grabbed me from the moment I picked it up. From the synopsis, I was hooked. There were so many elements to Soul Survivor that made it a great read. The premise is, obviously, one of them. Second is Hailee. I loved the presumption of her being normal. She believes that she is just an average girl, and in many ways she is. She’s a girl who moves for college and likes everything so much that she has a hard time picking what she

I got an e-book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Hailee thinks she is just a simple country girl. She kept her life simple just surrounded by her family best brotherly cousin Craig. She never had friends and don't have social circles. She came to city to graduate, but she was not sure what her purpose is?

After coming to city, she kept on dreaming of the place and got strange feelings that something is waiting for her there. So, she started to visit that small town sea

I usually start with the summary in my own words, but I think the one above pretty much sums it up. I couldn’t have said it better myself. :D Now let’s get onto my review.

So I should have known that with a title like Soul Survivor I would need tissue, but I didn’t listen. There were so many jaw dropping moments, tear jerker moments, and moments you just want to run from. I literally didn’t put this book down once I started reading it. The first few chapters wer

Wow, what a read! I don’t think I’ve read a novel with such a complicated love triangle ending so fantastically. I was glued to the story, surprised by the new twists and revealed secrets while wondering how the author was going to possibly unravel such a disastrous tangle!

The love triangle boils down to the simple Option One vs Option Two (I’m trying to do this without giving out spoilers to the twists that I hadn’t expected, so bear with me here), but is complicated by betrothals, manufactured

*I won this from, thank you Shana!*

My mini-summary: Hailee meets Alex, and they seem to instantly fall head-over-heels for each other. But then the real information starts to reveal itself. Alex is a guardian angel and has been sent to protect her. Of course there has to be a love triangle (or two), with other angels, both good and evil. I can't really say much more without giving anything away, but the book really is quite intriguing.

When I first started reading this book,

Soul Survivor is unique Story. It starts off with Hailee meeting with Alex, then realises she is more than what she thought she was. And that Alex is her Guardian angel. On top of that they are falling inlove pretty fast.
I love this concept about Darkness and Light because Hailee is pulled pulled in both directions and is unable to choose between Alex the good Boy-light and Seth the bad Boy -Darkness. But there is more going on than just romance. Hailee has difficult decisions to make. This Sto

This is a great start for a fantastic series. For a first time author, she paid attention to every detail and brought the story to life. A good versus evil plot is always seductive. A great addition to my 'favorite' indie author stash. I have the book in print as well as e-book. You should add Michelle to your radar, because her writing style will catapult her into a bestselling author league very soon.

I love a story that keeps you guessing, and makes you ask yourself "what would you do". I cou

I read this book in one sitting and have to say I really enjoyed it. I loved the new take on angels, with Guardians, Healers, and the Supremecy. The story flowed effortlessly, the characters were convincing, and the romance sizzled. As much as I enjoyed this book, the one thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the editing. I found numerous spots where past and present tense were mixed up or used in the same paragraph--sometimes even the same sentence! Other than that, this story is a g ...more

I was lucky enough to read this as a BETA reader in the Fall. It is a fabulous concept that I thoroughly enjoyed! Since my BETA read Michelle has made changes that have only enhanced the story.

I will remain purposefully vague on the story line because it is so much fun to discover all the secrets as you read. I will however say: Seth- mmmm! Yes I really liked Seth. ;)
The MC Hailee is very down to earth and easy to relate to too.

This is a great twist on good vs evil and Michelle does a fabulous j

I basically read this in one sitting so you can tell it drew me in from the beginning. I liked how it seemed like one book in the beginning, when Hailee meets Alex. It starts to go down a path you think you know and the Ami shows up and she throws a wrench in the story. Is what she is saying true? Well, it has to be when you find out who she is, so that sets the story in a new direction and makes you doubt Alex. Then Seth enters the picture and everything gets turned upside down. I loved Seth an ...more

Hailee Hart thinks she’s just a simple girl from a down-to-earth background. She’s smarter than average and school comes easy to her, but she doesn’t think she’s anything special. When she goes away to college she finds out that’s not the case. At all. When super beautiful Alex wants to hang out with her, she doubts herself and him, but decides to go with the flow. Then things go to Hell in a hand basket and all she wants

Wow what an amazing read. Not only did it grab me from the very beginning but had me not wanting to put the book down until the end. I had to know what was happening to Hailee and if she would survive.

Oh did I mention that there are angels? This maybe one of my favorite things to read about. The words that followed off the pages will have you believing in them no doubt.

We meet Hailee just your average teenage girl going through life and starting her college life off on her own in a big

I had the pleasure of meeting this author at an author invasion and after talking with her, I was intrigued by the premise of Soul Survivor and decided to buy it. And, let me just say, I am so glad I did!! I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I had read maybe 40-50 pages of it throughout the week due to my busy work schedule, but then I blazed through the book in a few hours on Saturday. There are twists that I didn’t see coming and the last 15% of the book is awesome. So many feels. There ...more

Both Hailee and Alex become very appealing characters quite quickly. Alex has a tremendous amount of boyish charm and Hailee is very strong minded and not an easy target. With the introduction of the darkness the story dynamics take on a love triangle, good vs. evil and a mission to save the world. With every twist and turn of events another layer of this story is peeled back to reveal yet another exciting development. There is so much more to their story than what you first anticipate. I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
When the author contacted me to read this book I was bad and said yes, based on the cover alone. If I would have known it was about angels, I may have changed my mind. Soul Survivor wasn't a bad book, angles just aren't one of my favourite things. Even though this was a shorter book, it did take me a bit to get through.
I did enjoy the characters. I felt bad for Hailee at first because she was kept in the dark an
