The "and then it Happened" series is about three boys who are always getting in trouble. Each chapter is a different story. My favorite chapter was chapter 3; Bear Day.

This book is hilarious!! I'm going to retell what I think is the funniest chapter. It is called the Fart Chart. So basically this kid named Gordon (class clown) created the fart chart to see who would fart the most. Then it turned into a race to see who could get to a hundred the fastest. On the last day 10 kids were on 90. So when they went to school they found that there was a substitute. At nine the farts began. At 9:30 the fan was on full blast. At ten the windows were wide open. At 10:30 the teacher took out a bottle of Aspirin and took a few pills. At lunch the teacher went home sick and Gordon announced that 4 kids were at 99! When they went inside they found out that the principal was the substitute for the substitute. Then suddenly a loud fart cut through the noise. The classroom erupted into cheering and Gordon, forgeting to hide the chart waved it around. The teacheer snatch the chart out of his hands and to make a long story short they all hate to write apology letters to their teachers.

I picked up this book because a substitute one read the first book to me.

I finished this book because this book is hilarious. Each chapter is so funny I almost started crying.

I recommend this to my cousin who loves comedy.

My favorite part of the book was Chapter 7 the fart chart it was funny imagine the fart chart in real life it probably have been hilarious writing this. The writer for this book has a comedian mind. The chapters in this book are hilarious! It doesn't matter if you are 10 or 65 but you will laugh. My favourite short story in this book is the fart chart. The class of Gordan, Paulo and "me" had started a fart chart. The one first to 100 farts wins. This drove the teachers and supply teachers crazy! As week 3 came the students discovered that having beans for lunch would help with farting. The same week, a supply teacher was in and all she smelt and heard was fart. It drove her insane and with the afternoon coming, the supply teacher couldn't handle it and went home. As I was reading this book all I was doing was laughing. I wonder what would happen if we did this to our teachers? I recommend this book to everyone !

I think this book series, while aimed a children should be one that most young kids read and talk about with their friends.

I wonder if any of the misadventures in these stories were based on the real lives of the author and his friends as they grew up.

I wanted to read all of the books but at the time I had a lot of reading to do in school and time just slipped away from me, as did much else.

Perhaps these will be the kinds of stories I read to my young children. Certainly youthful and fun, its the adventures that every young kid wants to have with their best friends and wild imaginations.

Ok, so my 11 year old step son was reading a couple of these books, and couldn't contain his laughs and giggles. I am always up for a good light read, and the premise seemed interesting, so I am giving a few more of these a chance.

Cute, funny and light stories, perfect for pre-teen boys... a little predictable, but that's ok. They only take about an hour to read and move quickly. This is a great little series that I will continue to read as I find them and pick them up.
