I received an arc in exchange for a honest review.
What Happens in Ireland starts with Kate Barrows on her first night in Ireland. After dreaming about this trip, she has finally arrived, ready to live and work in Ireland. On her first night, she meets Jack, charming, sexy as sin and confident, as much as she is drawn to him, he reminds her too much of her past and the betrayal she still feels. With little more than a kiss from the sexy Irish stranger she is on her way to her new life and home. T

While I loved the concept of a young girl getting away from home, and exploring the world, Kate’s stubborn ability to hold on to the past really got under my skin. I’ll be the first to admit you never forget your true love, but four years is a long time to let a teenage romance dictate.

What Happens In Ireland is the debut novel, and the first in a series, for Australian Author Whitney K.E. It revolves around Kate, an Aussie who has always wanted to travel and gets offered the job of a lifetime on a stud farm in Killarney. On her first night in the country, Kate meets a charming young Irish lad and as they say the rest is history.

What Happens in Ireland is a fun, witty and flirty read that just oozes sexual tension. It features believable (and highly entertaining) characters cas

WHAT HAPPENS IN IRELAND is the debut romance novel by Whitney K-E (Whitney Keevers Eastman), an Australian romance author. With a picturesque setting in Ireland and an Irish hero, I, an expat Irish woman, was more than a little interested to read this book.

And a lovely read it is too. Unashamedly romantic and sentimental in parts, hot and steamy in others. Now the steaminess comes in towards the end of the book, when the romance heats up. If you're a person who prefers sweet romance, you might l

I love animals of all shapes and sizes and when I find a book that includes animals in the story line I'm in my glory. I just finished What Happens in Ireland by Whitney K.E. What a fabulous story Whitney has written! Not only does she have a way with descriptions of the beautiful land of Ireland, she has also created some charismatic characters that I had the pleasure of meeting.

Kate Barrow is a strong, sassy, spunky woman that has been hurt by a man in her past. I found myself very drawn to K

Kate Barrow isn't looking for romance when she accepts a working holiday position on the O'Reilly's horse stud in Kerry. Jack O'Reilly tries to persuade her otherwise, and a right charmer he is. Kate spends much of her time fending Jack off with challenge, insult and banter, but Jack retaliates with Irish blarney and a seductive accent she can't resist. It is obvious from their first meeting that Kate won't walk away unscathed. Despite her defensive barriers, she gives in to passion so strong it ...more

I wasn't sure what to expect when Whitney K.E approached the Naughty requesting a review of What Happens in Ireland. I'd already seen the book around, I'd really loved the cover and I'd decided I'd love the premise... I'm usually always a fan of the "guy pursuing girl/mistaken identity" thing so I was looking forward to this read.

So, I took it on a holiday to Scotland with me and what happened was that "What Happens in Ireland" happened in Scotland! It consumed my time completely, tur

I don't normally read romance novels, however after reading the first pages of this break out novel by Whitney, I was enchanted. I was unable to put it down and read it one sitting.
Kate's quick wit and fiery disposition had me in stitches at times, and Jack's unwavering determination to capture her affections had me swooning.
I fell in love with both of them wholeheartedly, laughing and even crying, and feeling like I'd parted with two friends when I reached the end.
I can't wait for the next nove

Jack and Kate's story was a refreshing romance. A very enjoyable read. Kate and Jack are very charismatic characters. Kate a stubborn Australian who came to Ireland for work. One night in an Irish pub she see's Jack for the first time and in that moment her life will never be the same....This was a very, soft, heartfelt read with drama, fun and hot steamy scenes making you really wanting your own Irishman.. A fantastic novel filled with romance, drama and a picturesque scenery of the beautiful Ireland. The characters are so easy to connect with bringing them to life right from the start. The exotic descriptions of the scenery makes you feel like you're actually there. A mix of emotions from laughter, sadness as well as desire left me wanting more and more!
Very well written, I assure you you will not be disappointed.
Looking forward to reading Whitney's next book. :)

I loved this book! It was funny and light-hearted but had at times, it's deeper more serious moments. In other words, I was crying in the last pages. The romance between the characters is easily identifiable and realistic as I too have had my fair share of inappropriately timed embarrassing moments! A really lovely, easy book to read. ...more

What Happens in Ireland is a debut novel by a young author in Australia. It is a leisurely paced book that charming and fun.

The plot is to the point, but it isn't rushed. The characters and their relationship are well developed. The author takes her time portraying them as individuals and as a new couple. They are likable and realistic. Kate is spunky and independent. Jack is chivalrous and takes his time with Kate as she battles ghosts of boyfriends past. Refreshingly, Jack is not a billionaire

Attraction is a very hard thing to fight and Kate, a young Australia woman working on a property in Ireland, is finding it especially challenging to try and keep her distance from a very hot irishman, Jack, but its a little hard when he is her boss and constantly trying to convince her that he would well be worth it if she let her defences down. What makes it even harder for Kate is that Jack has great looks, good sense of humour and an engaging personality, any woman would find it difficult to ...more
