The narration was not good at all. I switched to reading it did not get any better.

The writing was weird, i believe maybe because this was published a while back, still there are some books that came out in the 80s and are magnificent.

I just couldn't feel the MCs, and when one of the MCs freaked out because the other guy opened a door for him and that is considered guy stuff, so that means he must be the girl.. I was out, done and done!

But when he opened the car door for

For those readers who rate this story 4-5 stars, good for you, however, my rate won't be as generous so hold your tomatoes.
Ho boy, if you want to spoil a cute story, do what this author did, add some ridiculous drama at the end to make the rate go down at the speed of a bullet.
Shane at the beginning of the story was portrait as a very nice guy, who needs a fresh start and moved away from his family.
Met gorgeous Alex and the relationship started it, I was expecting anything after that, but never e

My review of the whole series of audiobooks is up on the blog. Here's the link if you want to check it out:

If you're an audiobook fan, I highly recommend doing the series this way - it was an incredible experience going through one of my all-time favorite series this way.

My Original Review of Book 1

This is my favorite of the series. I really think Shane and Alex work beautifully together, I love the way they meet and their relationship grows so pe

A sweet story with great characters. I'm not a fan of present tense, and there were a few awkward sentences in the beginning, but then the story took off and I didn't even notice the tense anymore. I enjoyed watching the MCs get to know each other, especially in the more humorous scenes. The end felt a little rushed, but overall I really liked this story. ...more

Loved this! Sexy and sweet with the right amount of angst. Plus, a cowboy, dog and a baby--how can you beat that?

Nothing special, but sweet
When It’s Right is the first book in the ‘Mile High Romance’ series. The three books in this series was gifted to me by the author for honest reviews. This first story was written for the M/M Romance Group’s ‘Love Has No Boundaries’ DRitC event. The MCs are Shane Greenly who left Wyoming because of his family’s homophobia. He’s moved to Colorado with the dream of starting his own dog training ranch. Alex is the other MC and the two men meet because of Alex’s dog Stormy. The story is told in firs ...more

While it started out cute, sweet and pretty strong it was quickly dragged down by subpar narration and a completely unnecessary miscommunication plot that ruined any good feelings I had for the story.

There were so many ways that (view spoiler) and that whole situation could have been introduced and entwined organically into the story.

Instead it felt clunky and forced.

As for the narration, Jason P. Hilton does have nice inflection and adequate character voices, but, unf
This story is the product of the prompt I submitted for the "Love Has No Boundaries" writing event and I couldn't be happier with the result! Aria Grace brought my idea to life perfectly. There was just the right amount of angst mixed in to a wonderful love story. I've said it before and I'll say it again, adding a cute dog to the mix always makes things better, and Stormy, with her happy disposition and endless amounts of love, is no exception. The MCs, Shane and Alex, were great characters who ...more

What do you expect from a book with roundabout 70 pages? When reading novellas people are usually complaining that it was too short to get to know the MC's. This is often true and it can also be said about "When it's right". But the most important question is, if a book has an interesting story to tell and that has nothing to do with its length.
The story here is about Alex who meets Shane, when he brings his dog to the vet where Shane works. Shane just moved and is not out yet but he definitely

Shane's journey in this story is what really drew me in! His journey of self-discovery and acceptance is what I really loved about this story and Shane was definitely a stand out character to me!

I also love Stormy the dog as a character and I think the two MCs are well developed and this story had me smiling and laughing while also tugging on my heartstrings.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read it!

I love all of Aria Grace's story and this one surely will not disappoint! Happy reading

When It’s Right by Aria Grace isn’t a great book, I’d be reluctant to call it good. But I somehow don’t hate it. It was underdeveloped without being grating and while that isn’t really a compliment I had a decently okay time reading it.

When It’s Right follows the dual perspectives of Shane and Alex. Shane has recently moved to Denver as an assistant veterinarian from Wyoming to escape the conservative small town and their bigoted attitudes. Alex meets Shane after his dog Stormy breaks his leg an

A cute story. Really, but I was hoping for more depth. The story had great promise, but I would have liked more intensity.
Alex and Shane meet when Alex brings his dog to the vet where Shane works. They hit it off almost immediately. It feels like a sloppy insta love story, because the third date we get to read about is actually one month into their relationship and the “I love U’s” are raining down left and right. I would have loved some building of the relationship and more about Shane acclima

once again Aria has blown me away with another great book! I am so glad that i have read all of her books..

i got this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Alex had a great job and a best friend. Well, it so happened that his best friend was a dog. One day Alex took a run with his dog when the dog ran off and got caught in a fence. He felt like he had failed as a parent. When he took his dog to the hospital he saw him. the only problem was that he was gay. Alex didn't want to sca

The first word that comes to mind when I think about this book is “sweet”. But don’t let that fool you into thinking there’s no drama or steam, because you’ll find both in this story as well. You’re also going to find two main characters that are easy to like and care about and a storyline that is easygoing with a bit of a twist thrown in.

I really liked both Shane and Alex. They work really well together as a couple, and it’s very obvious that they belong together. There’s some interesting suppo

Alex wants more out of life than just casual encounters so when his dog is injured and the new Vet Tech Shane enters the exam room he is floored by the man and unable to deny the attraction he is feeling. Shane agrees to dog sit for him while he attends an out of town meeting, and things escalate from there.

Shane is just coming out after leaving his parents home and wants to have more than just a casual sex partner when he enters the exam room and sees Alex. Dog sitting for Alex is terrifying f
Many things to enjoy about this story – especially the adorable dog! Alex seemed like a wonderful guy who deserved to find someone special. Shane was shy and very conservative – just starting to venture out of the closet. They made a good pair, but wow, Shane was holding back one heck of a secret. I hated that he never talked with Alex about it, but love how Alex responded once he found out. The background around how the secret came to be was a bit disturbing and questionable for me and I wish t ...more

I loved His Undoing by this author, but this whole "secret reveal" I keep reading about in reviews is making me nervous.

I don't mind a story told in first person. I don't mind a story that switches POVs in first person. (I've done it myself.) What I do mind is present tense. And the repetition of each chapter with not much added in addition.

Having said that, I did like Alex and Shane, and I was glad Shane's mother was a decent person, unlike his father. And there was one other person, who shall be nameless, who screamed witch from the moment she appeared. I really would have liked to see her get her comeuppance.

I liked this story. It was a bit rushed though. I felt like the author was trying to hurry and tell the story by shortening sentences and skimming certain situations. It probably could have been a much better written story if she had made it into a full novel. I saw potential for a REALLY great read instead of just a great read.
Loved the characters and the story and the attention to the love scenes. Really well written. Will definitely read more of her stuff.
This was a cute story of one person getting away from his conservative homophobic upbringing and meeting the man of his dreams. There is a LOT of internalizing that, if they would just open their mouths, would avoid a LOT of the angst and conflict in the story. Overall it was a nice love story with a little twist.
I loved the pic and the prompt for this one, Aria Grace did it justice.
I was cheering for Shane to stand up to his homophobic father and get out of there with his little family.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were cute and sexy. Shane was just so adorable! I just wanted to cuddle him. The development of characters and the relationship was awesome, especially for such a short book. The twist was pretty good too. I can honestly say I didn't see THAT coming :)

When It's Right is an adorable story of finding love, happiness, and who you are.
This was a great story overall. Shane and Alex were so cute together. Only major drawback for me was Shane being a coward and not telling Alex what was going on once he made his decision. Loved the epilogue though. =D

I listened to the audiobook version of this. I thought the narrator did a really good job.

This was very sweet! I liked the characters, and always love a story with an adorable puppy dog in it! Cute! Still not a fan of present tense writing, and a few times the switching POVs did trip me up for a moment, but this was a very sweet story and I enjoyed it.
