I loved this story. The suspense was absolutely amazing. Deb is a federal agent. Her son got kidnapped from his daycare by Zendaris. He has her do a list of things to get her son back. Meanwhile her team thinks she turned. Her boss sends in another agent to bring her back in. The agent that showed up to take her back to the team is Beau. Deb and Beau has a steamy past. Beau does not know rather to believe her or not at first, but he can’t turn his back on her. The passion and chemistry they shared in the past is still there sizzling. I loved the story line, suspense, and romance. I also loved the team work.

Sample from chapter 2 – He wanted her, even now. He wanted her traitorous lips against his. He wanted to take her lying tongue into his mouth. He wanted her deceiving hands on his body.

Sample from chapter 14 – He slipped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close until her head bobbed to his chest. As he stared into the face of this mom who’d gone to hell and back for her son and had managed to recover the plans to the anti – drone, he realized he was looking at Superwoman. And even Superwoman made mistakes sometimes.

Very good book and excellent conclusion to this series of Brothers in Arms books. Since having her son Deb has been doing mainly desk work for Prospero. When her son is kidnapped by the arms dealer the team has been trying to capture she has to try to get him back. Zendaris wants the plans that went missing in exchange for her son. When she goes missing and it looks like she is working for Zendaris the Prospero leader sends Beau after her to bring her in. It doesn't take him long to find her, but things aren't always as they seem. Beau remembers their night together very well and is also sure there is an explanation for her actions. When he finds out what it is he offers to help her, not knowing that the missing child is his son. Once he finds out they both have to learn how to trust in order to bring about the right resolution for all of them.

I really liked Deb. She has been an excellent Prospero agent, one of the few women in that position. Her one lapse was that night in Zurich with Beau that resulted in the birth of her son. She never tried to track him down, remembering his statements about not wanting any kind of family to tie him down. When Zendaris kidnaps Bobby, Deb will do anything she has to in order to get her son back safely, including the appearance of betraying Prospero. When Beau catches her and plans to take her in she has to convince him not to interfere so that she can save her son. She is stunned when he offers to help her, and very relieved. She is also very cautious as she is used to standing on her own. She had the kind of childhood and youth that made it very hard for her to trust that anyone would be there for her. She even keeps herself slightly apart from her team members. I loved the way that she and Beau worked together, with each one having particular abilities to bring to the search. Deb also discovered that the attraction she had felt before was even stronger now. She also found that there was a lot more to Beau than she had known before, including the love he has for his family - especially his nieces and nephews. She begins to feel very guilty for not telling him about Bobby. Once she does she has to deal with his feelings of betrayal and hope that he can overcome them.

Beau had never forgotten that night with Deb and thought about her often. When he was asked to track her down he jumped at the chance. As soon as he saw her again he knew that the old attraction was still there. When he found out why she had disappeared he was skeptical at first, but once convinced he had to help her. I really liked the way that he was totally committed to helping her, even before he knew that he was Bobby's father. He sometimes had trouble convincing Deb that he wasn't going to abandon her but he understood her issues so he tried to have patience. I liked the way that Beau didn't just make all the decisions but made sure that they were working together. In spite of having a professional reputation of being cold and ruthless I thought that on a personal level he was a really nice guy. He had never planned on having a relationship or a family of his own, but his love for his relatives was obvious. When he found out that he was Bobby's father he was furious with Deb for not telling him, but overall pretty excited about being a dad. There's a great scene at the end where he's talking to Deb's teammates and tells them that he's Bobby's father.

I really enjoyed the whole progression of the search for the plans and rescue of Deb's son. There is a lot of intensity as Deb has to overcome her fears about Bobby's life in order to do what needs to be done. The trust that she and Beau have to have in order to get things done is hard won at times. They also have to figure out who it is that seems to be intent on stopping her from finding the plans. It really kept me turning the pages from Deb's first task to the final happy ending.

Carol Ericson brings us a delicious tale of suspense interlaced with a romance. She brings us lovable characters that are both strong and courageous. There are enough twists and turns that will keep the reader turning the pages. I truly enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.
Deb Sinclair has worked hard to get where she is. Several years ago while on assignment she met the an intriguing young man known as Loki. After an unforgettable night with this man her life was never the same. When her young son was kidnapped by a vengeful arms dealer, she feels she has no where to turn. She must follow his orders and find some top secret weaponry plans to get her son back. So she goes off the grid to ensure her son's safety.
Beau Slater is a handsome, sexy, freedom loving bachelor, who has traveled the world taking care of "sticky" situations. Recently a friend called from Prospero to contract him to find an agent that has recently gone rogue and bring her in. There's just one problem, this is an excellent agent and he knows her intimately. Three years ago after "finishing" a job, he met Deb Sinclair and experiences an unforgettable night with her. He knows she obviously needs help and he sets out to accomplish that.
Suddenly a man from Deb's past appears, one she sees every day of her life when she looks at her little boy. His arrival not only puts her assignment at risk, but the life of her child as well. Deb finds herself is turmoil of finding her child and telling Beau the truth of her child's paternity. As important factors are brought to the surface, Deb knows what she must do, but with all the danger surrounding them she's afraid for the safety of her child.
Beau understands Deb's dilemma and has empathy for any parent in this position. The problem is he can't let this arms dealer get his hands on those weaponry plans. He tries to convince Deb to come clean with Prospero and tell them what's going on, but is unsuccessful and agrees to help her find her son. Beau keeps coming back to the fact that Deb has lied to him by omission and how can he trust her again.

Author Carol Ericson brings her "Brothers in Arms: Fully Engaged" series to a rousing conclusion with the romantic suspense thriller, "Catch, Release". Deb Sinclair is a highly skilled covert ops agent who works for Prospero Team Three, a world-wide crime-fighting organization. Several years ago, Deb had a very brief romantic interlude with the man she knew only as "Loki", a covert operative who was her equal in intelligence, spy skills, and passion. Now, "Loki", agent Beau Slater, has been hired to find Deb and bring her to Prospero for interrogation. A recent change in her behavior has sent off warning bells at the agency. Deb has been unable to tell anyone that her young son, Bobby, has been kidnapped by Nico Zendaris, the international arms dealer whom Prospero has tried for years to bring down. She confides in Beau that Bobby has been taken, but she doesn't reveal her other big secret: Bobby is Beau's son. Zendaris wants Deb to locate the design for very powerful anti-drone weaponry, and in exchange, he will return Bobby unharmed. After Beau hears the story of Bobby's kidnapping and Zendaris' plans, he agrees to go off his own assignment in order to help Deb. The strong undercurrent of attraction between them, and the urgency of finding Bobby, whose health is now in question, adds to the tension of the situation. What will Beau do when learns Bobby is his own son? Will Prospero finally bring Zendaris' crime enterprise to an end? Is there more than passion between Deb and Beau--could the two of them find a happy future together with their son? Recommended for lovers of exciting romantic suspense. You will enjoy the entire "Brothers in Arms: Fully Engaged" series.

Deb is a federal agent working for Prospero. When her 2-year-old son was kidnapped by Zendaris, his "ransom" demands were for her to do some things for him. Not good things. He made it clear that Deb couldn't tell anyone about this, especially nobody at Prospero. Because of all the illegal things she was doing and not reporting to anyone, they thought she had turned. Her boss sent another agent, Loki, to bring her in. Deb and Loki had a one-night-stand a few years earlier, so when he tracked her down, he talked her into telling him everything.

I loved this story and am so glad I won this book. The suspense kept me on my toes and I couldn't read fast enough to find out what would happen next. I was surprised by this because I expected to have a hard time keeping track of the agents and various bad guys. But I didn't at all. This book was so well written that I easily followed this thrilling story. I loved how Deb and Loki worked together to save Deb's son.

The last couple of scenes were amazing and tied everything up way better than I could have imagined. If you like exciting romantic suspense, you really should read this one.

This one will pull at your heart strings. When a top notch agent spent one night of passion with a man known only by his call name, Loki, her world changed forever. A night she can't forget, produced a child she could never live without. But an arms dealer has done the unthinkable and kidnapped her three year old son. Now, if she didn't do as she was told, her son would die. Could she really trust the one man who offered to help her? Past secrets that need to be told. Chemistry they couldn't deny. Double crosses. Danger at every turn. This book kept me up late reading to the very end. Carol Ericson has been added to my must read list.

This was so cringeworthy! Especially the dialogue. But I still enjoyed it! What's wrong with me?

Even though the main character's two-year-old son has been kidnapped and is being held hostage, she still finds the time to have lustful thoughts about the spy helping her, even having sex with him! (Which even included titty-banging, which is a first for me in 20 years of reading romance). It didn't ring true.

There was also a strange preoccupation with what the main characters ate. Nearly every chapter went into deep detail about all their meals!

In Ericson’s romantic intrigue novel, Beau Slate is the best at what he does. Three years ago he spent an unforgettable night with the one woman who could match him both in wit and brains. Now she’s a Prospero agent and he’s gone rogue to help her retrieve her kidnapped toddler unaware that he’s also rescuing the son he never knew existed.

A fast-paced addition to the Brothers in Arms: Fully Engaged series.
