A World of Turmoil and Yearning

Wunder may have a normal life now…well, as normal as a freak of nature could have. Half zombie while her job is to hunt bloodthirsty creatures to protect the innocent. It’s the dreams that haunt her and they aren’t nightmares. Wunder dreams of a man, a man made just for her. Is he real, can he be the one she‘s yearned for?

Pete’s world is a lonely one as he wrestles with the reality of being part zombie. His hatred for the creatures that killed his parents drives him to patrol the streets and wipe them all out. His life would be stark, but for the dreams he’s been having; of a woman, so sensuous, so sexy. These alluring visions have become erotic and consuming. He feels as if he made her up to keep from going crazy. Is this life of hunting the walking dead, all there is? Or is she out there, waiting…just for him?

AR Von has written a very interesting, detailed and concise story about the lives of Wunder and Pete before their meeting. This book should be read before Wunder-Erotic Zombie Paranormal Romance, which was released out of order. A job well done. For followers of AR Von, this is a must read.

I loved the first Wunder book; this one had me hooked from start to finish. It's not a long read, but it is intense, beautiful, heartbreaking and thoughtful.

The voices of Wunder and Pete are easily identifiable, and very believeable. Wunder and Pete are in their early twenties, and their voices are young, but not childish. Wunder especially has a fresh tone. Pete is a little younger, but sounds older to me. One feels that he has experienced more of the trauma of life, and so much is communicated within a few sentences. The strong father figures of both our hero and heroine are well written, especially the scenes between Wunder and Lance (her dad)

Even if you aren't a fan of zombies, or even futuristic genres, the subtext within the book can still make for introspection in our modern world.

At 77p, it's a snip and the best money I've spent all month!
Congrats AR, you've done it again.

Prequel to Wunder 1. I read this before 1, and I really really want MORE!!! I'd like to get my hands on book 2 and any other books that will be coming for this story.

I love Zombies!!! I love Zombie books!!! Part zombies make me happy because there's a chance there. Hope is alive!!! You never know what can happen, and what happens to Pete and Wunder is proof of that. So, let's all hope with them!!!

A touch erotic, but not very much, book 1 is more explicit. This was just plain cute. There is killing, but there is also sexy dreams time. So yeah, I liked it lol!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Dangit! It was short yet, PERFECT!
This book gave a better understanding of how Wunder & Pete could click (and basically attack, in a very good way) one another so quickly! So glad A.R. went back and gave us this. Action, a perfect amount of sensual heat and FUNNY! OMG, WUNDERWEDGIE!

I can't wait to see where she takes us next in this original, thrilling and madly addictive series.

Please hurry!!

A great prequel to the first book of the Wunder series. It give a bit more insight to Wunder and Pete in who they are and how they came to be. Written in two parts to give you a look inside both characters before they meet. It is just what I needed before reading book 1. With just a taste of steamy scenes, you will get more when you pick up the next book Wunder (#1 Approach).
I will be awaiting book 2 anticipated in Aug. 2013.

The thought of zombies has me quaking in my boots, but WOW this wasn't what I expected. An interesting twist on paranormal, this is one Action packed, erotic yet emotional read. No matter that it was a short story, the quality in the writing and content more than made up for this.
Downloading the next book now, loved it

This story takes place before Wunder. This one focuses more on the zombie infestation and how Wunder trains with her teams to eliminate the infected.
It definitely gives you a bit more insite on Wunder, and you learn things about her that you didn't get a chance to in book one. Here is where Wunder and Pete first meet.. Even if they don't officially meet until book one.
One nice change about this prequel is you not only get into Wunder's head.. but you get a taste of Pete's as well.
I wonder if book two if the reason Wunder and Pete were sharing dreams before they met will be explained, after all I'm sure both are just as curious about it as any one that reads this book will be.
As this is a short I really can't speak anymore on it without giving anything away. I do look forward to book two in the series though.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws

Wunder is part zombie, part human and one awesome heroine! I mean come on. You gotta love a woman who packs a taser, at least two guns, and various sharps on her person. She’s a chica prepared! But don’t let that tough exterior fool you, underneath it all this female is all heart. And that heart yearns for the one man who haunts her every sleeping moment.

Enter the mystery man of her dreams.

Wunder’s reveries of this raven-haired guy are intense—blood and body combustible intense. I was like, “Damn girlfriend!” You know a dream is intense when you need a cold shower to douse your flame. Transport me to the nearest freezer and pile on the ice!

Meanwhile, Pete is having his own dreams filled with lust and overwhelming abandon. This “Wonder woman” is tall, dark-haired, and gorgeous. Only problem is that he never sees her eyes. In his wet dreams, they engage in all sorts of sensual activities that leave him literally stuck to his sheets when morning comes.

Who is this mystery woman and why can’t he see her eyes?

Rounding out the cast are a dutiful and devoted father who lost the love of his life when his pregnant wife passed on after delivering Wunder, and a loyal uncle raising his equally special, but orphaned, nephew. The father figures added depth to the story and an extra tier to the almost painful pasts of these two destined people.

I’m an emotional reader and tend to connect to characters via the relationships they form within the confines of a book’s pages. The Wunder prequel did not disappoint. This book was layered with many relationships—the uncompromising love of a father for his unique daughter and an uncle for his nephew, the loyalty of the R.I.P. team for one another, the passionate longing of a man for a woman he’s yet to meet.

I was most impressed with the author’s ability to competently convey the many facets of Wunder. For me, the best heroines are strong-willed and tough, while also possessing a sensitive side that softens her to right man.

The Wunder Prequel was a prelude to predestined passion and the first taste of a unique miniseries with attitude. A definite 4.5 star treat for zombie lovers and romance enthusiasts alike.

The prequel to the very fun Wunder series has A,R, Von providing a solid backstory for the two main characters: Wunder the half-zombie and Pete, her meant to be love.

While I am not a fan of zombie stories, Von has made this such a sweet and touching series: in this book we are provided insight into Wunder's connection to her father and her recurring dream of a faceless man that is meant to be hers. Her dreams are passionate and detailed, leaving her breathless and full of need come morning. A need that she fills by concentrating on her assignment with the Resilient Infected police team, as she develops relationships and learns to rely on partners.

The second part of this story focuses on Pete and his desire to revenge his parents' deaths, which he does by working with a team of Resilient Infected police. His nights are also spent dreaming of a woman he has never met, the woman made for him. Until his team is assigned to work with another team of RIPolice, and he comes face-to-face with the woman of his dreams in Wunder. While they both find an instant attraction to one another, the realization of their "meant to be' status takes a tiny bit longer.

The build and development of the story to present a solid background for these two characters works to both entertain and inform, and while the first book of the series whets the appetite, this one certainly fed it beautifully. Read these in sequential order, or read this after The Approach (the first in the series), but read them. A quick entertaining read that is wholly unique.

4.5 stars from me!

I was lucky enough to be able to beta read this book, and let me say, HOLY HOTNESS! The dreams that both Wunder and Pete were having were just off the charts hot factor.

There is more to this story than just the sex scenes; one thing that I did enjoy about this book was being able to learn more about both Pete and Wunder. In the first book, we are introduced to them both sort of in the “middle” of their relationship. After reading this one, we find out more about each of them and what it is that brought the two of them together.

Wunder’s character is full of surprises. The different things that she enjoys and what she doesn’t enjoy. Those caught me off guard! Pete’s character as well has his secrets that it was interesting to find out about.

I can’t wait to read more from AR and to be able to continue on the journey that Wunder and Pete are on.

This is a short novella. My first read by A.R. Von as well. I won this in a blog hop giveaway as well.

I have to say at first I really didn't know what was going on. Then it hit me the world had about ended or it did, and there are zombies because of a virus. Wunder is like a hybrid and she thought she was the only one. She has been having really erotic dreams of a guy and herself. I mean hot and steamy dreams that every time she starts to think about it she gets turned on.

While out on a mission they were attacked and once they got everything calmed down and all the survivors were helped up into a truck to be taken to base. Wunder hears a voice that sound so familiar to her. She turns around and OMG it is him. The guy in her dreams. She is frozen in place and can't believe he is real.

Wunder #0.5 is a good short read. I am waiting to read the next book to see exactly what happens with her and her mystery man.

I wrote a review and somehow it didn't post and got lost. So this is my "Grrrr." at the computer shorter version. Sorry....
***I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.***
I'm not into erotica at all, so to say that I enjoyed this book despite that is a good thing. The action and story based around the steamy wet dreams and bursting at the seams lust for a complete stranger is well told. Even the naughty bits that I did happen to catch were great. I highly enjoyed the action scenes myself! I mean, if there are going to be zombies you have to kill them right?

So all in all, sexy dreams, hybrid zombie/human girl getting her panties into a hot mess over a zombie/human hybrid boy that she has never met, lopping off intelligent, fast moving zombie heads and discovering a world that is trying to rebuild after a massive hit is actually pretty decent. I would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of actions mixed in with their spicy love making scenes.

Plagued (haha see what I did there? Sorry, it won't happen again) by dreams featuring a smokin' hot mystery man, Wunder has to balance her day to day zombie hunting life and deal with her own demons of being half zombie--all the while thinking about her nightly escapades with tall dark and handsome.

This is a prequel of sorts to Wunder, which I've also reviewed and will link further down, and it goes deeper into Wunder's history and her daily life. I liked getting to read more about Wunder's team and more about her day to day life. We're also given more of an introduction to Pete, who is Wunder's love interest. Their chemistry is scorching hot, and well written. I can't get enough of Wunder and the world that Ms. Von has built. I'm really looking forward to book two, or really anything that I can sink my teeth into. (Sorry.)

Wunder has been having dreams about a mysterious man they are very hot and heavy, Pete has been having some racey dreams of a woman A woman who he's never met. Separately they are fighting to stay alive and keep others alive. after the fight they see each other and recognize each other of the ones they are dreaming about. After the fighting for their lives will they get together? This story gives a background of where Wunder and Pete have met in their dreams and it shows how they are bad asses at what they do this book was amazing I love the Pete and Wunder relationship they are so good for each other! There better be more to come!

I received this book from the Lover's of Paranormal Group in exchange for an honest review

Stars: 5

Overall: I really liked reading the prequel and recommend that you actually read this book first and than The Approach. ( Book 1 ) It was very cool to read about Wunder using her zombie powers and i also really liked her friend Tank a lot because they seem to work amazingly together. Than we get to Pete's part and i found myself blushing at the thought of Pete's "Wunder Women". I really can't wait to read more in this series because I'm hooked.

Given by the author for an honest review,as part of the Blog Tour

First of all,The Wunder Series is a series of short novels..And I'm always kinda weary of them..Either they're really good or they're really bad..Dreamz was an amazing start to the series!!

The pace is beautiful and the flow is graceful..It introduces the 2 main characters in an equally beautiful way..And it gives us the intrigue we need for the main course The Approach,Wunder #1...
I loved the 2 POVs,because we get to see both of our characters, before they met each other....

It is a wonderful introduction to the series...I recommend to read it,because it's a pure delight!!

It was my first go at this series so I do what any normal person would do and start from the beginning. So, I'm going to start off with what I loved.
1.This is a prequel. Therefore, it is going to be a short read.
2.There's just enough there to get me interested in wanting to read more. Like, the fact there are these two people, our main characters, who are part zombie. They dream of each other, and finally come across one another in real life. How's it going to play out? All this and more in the next installment.
What I did not like?
I loved everything!!
It was definitely an enjoyable read/tease to get you ready for more. ;)

Wet the Appetite (puns intended)

Short but sweet. This prequel is a like a snapshot - a glimpse of what is coming, a hint of why it went the way it did. I settled on a 4 rating because I saw the potential for 5 writing in the subsequent stories, but a 3 because this is so short there is no real curve or development shown here. It's all a setup for later. That being said, it was more than enough to get me interested in the first full story, which I expect will allow for a more thorough review. Cheers!

Dreamz, .5 Wunder Series by A.R. Von
5 stars

This is a short prequel that does exactly what it should. This was an intriguing lead in to the series, with just enough of an introduction to what the two main characters Wunder and Pete are like. I think this is going to be a different take on zombies, I like it. I hope that the chemistry between Wunder and Pete that is hinted to is as explosive as is hinted it will be. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I was sucked in to this story, and can't wait to read the rest.

This is the first Wunder book I've read and I'm glad I was able to start at the very beginning of what appears to be a terrific series.. We have two great characters making their way in a world overrun with horrors. Both have dreamed since childhood of a friend with whom they live a happy life. Now in adulthood that dream has turned to passion. Both have a secret that can get them killed so their dreamworld is where they can live unfettered. One day it appears that maybe some dreams can come true. I can't wait to read the next one

I really loved this book! It made the sex scene in the first book, "Wunder," much stronger and natural because you see that Wunder and Pete are meant to be together. Wunder and Pete have dreamed of each other for a long time, so in a sense, they already know one another. When they lock eyes for the first time (in the non-dream reality), during the heat of battle, they're awe-struck, or should I say, heart-stricken. Such a beautiful intro for a love story that is only beginning. :)

Wunder is half zombie. She is overwhelmed by her dreams of her adventures with a mysterious man at night and her zombie hunting by day. Not to mention her love life…
Wunder’s world is going thru what seems to be an apocalypse of sorts.
I should note that I haven’t heard of this story until I won this book during a blog hop, with that being said it seems like it will be an interesting series to read.
Overall, the book was 3.5 star story to read.

I'm not that great at writing reviews but I'm working on it. So here is my review of Dreamz.

I enjoyed this short prequel o the Wunder series. I read this first and I'm glad cause it gave me a little insite to Wunder and Pete. Of course I wish it was a bit longer but novellas usually are short and sweet. Besides some editing issues I noticed I really liked it and jumped right into the next book.

Thank you A.R. Von for gifting me the 1st 2 books in your series.

Dreamz is the prequel to the Wunder Series and gives you a little insight into why Wunder and Pete are so instantly drawn to each other. All their lives they've had dreams about each other. They started out innocent when they were children, but as they grow into their own sexual awareness, the dreams start to change, becoming more and more erotic. Be prepared for things to get steamy if you pick up a copy this chapter in the Wunder series.

I adore this prequel for it gave me strange dreams. If you have a dream like Wunder did, THEN you'd understand. This story clears and sets the scenes for Wunder #1: The Approach. ***SPOILER** This well-planned prequel contains the different perspectives of the two main characters. Wunder is definitely a loveable character. (I'm more Pete inclined though).

I was given an e-book copy by the author. I was not paid for this review. All conclusions are my own responsibility.

Zombie story with an awesome twist. Easy to write run of the mill stories but when a zombie has special skills and can be 1/2 human, now you have my interest!

In this short story we learn about the erotic dreams Wunder is having about the hot & sexy guy that she doesn't know.

Wunder is very close with her dad who knows of the special skills she has. Wunder is part of an team that hunt the infected. She is one "kiss ass" girl.

I was given a copy from the author for an unbias opinion.

This book is my first Zombie book ever!!, A great well written smooth paced read, introducing her main characters Wunder and Pete. I enjoyed it very much that I'm on to book #1. Its sexually steamy yet not over the top. And they kick Zombie butt. With secrets of their own and an unevitable attraction, I just can't wait what will become of these two.

Beautifully written, exciting characters and an awesome story plot!

This is a short, fantastic read! The novel had me hooked from beginning to finish. I must say that in general, zombie novels are not my favored reads, but this riveting story is in a class of its own. I won't give away spoilers, but if you know want a short, but engaging read, this book is for you!!
