An unbelievable sequel to Come Undone. Impossible to put down.
This Series has to be one of my favorites of this year. Just brilliant.

I was playing with fire, but when I was in his company, I didn't care.

Come Undone Review

Cause if you are, honey this book, this series, is for you.

When I tell you my emotions were all over the place. I've been gripping my kindle for dear life all day.
The story picks up a couple of months after Come Undone ended. We have Olivia living like a ghost after her decision to try to work harder on her marriage and breaking two hearts in the process. As well as her not really dealing with the loss of a loved one. Her walls are back up and as high as ever, but now there are

YES YES YES!!!! I'm so happy that I decided to read the sequel after finishing "Come Undone". This book was soooo much better than the first one. It had everything I've missed in the first book!

.....and the connection between Liv and David... OH BOY!!!

"It's all for you, everything I do! Can't you see that?
Everything I worked for, everything I ever built, is for you!"

"I loved you from the start, don't you know that?
I never stood a chance."

I know, it's a book about cheating and some o

This book was provided to me by Jessica Hawkins Through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review

When i finished the first book , I can't wait to get into this to find out where the love triangle will go. On this book,You get to see more of Olivia’s choices and actions really impacted everyone around her. I don't know why I feel so absorbed to this story or why I love the book because at the end of the day Olivia is having an affair and David is after a married woman and causing strain to a cou

WARNING: Do not read this review if you don't want spoilers from book one.

Olivia and David played a dangerous game of cat and mouse with their emotions in book one, as I called it before, the temptation part of their relationship. Now they've had a taste of the forbidden fruit, so where do they go from there?

For once in her life Olivia has learned what true passion feels like. In this book she is faced with two extreme emotions. Guilt and desire. While I was a bit frustrated with Olivia in book

This is honestly one of the most romantic stories I have ever read.

It was so beautiful and so exciting. It is so real and you kind just have to put yourself in Olivia's shoes when it comes to her decisions. Because she was stuck and the situation is just inevitable.

Even though I don't know all that much about marriage and complications, but I related so much to Olivia. I can finally understand when my boyfriend gets mad at me because they are not mind readers, but as women, we want them to ask

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars! Reread again! Last read in April/2018. I absolutely love this series. This was such phenomenal read, full of ups and down. This series is one heck of a roller coaster ride. So good!

I could gush on and on about how good this book was, I loved Come Undone which was book one but this one was even better.

I find it remarkable how absorbed I got into Jessica's characters. David and Olivia, also Bill for that matter are so well written in such a believable way.

Olivia is married to Bill but wants David and feels the guilt that comes with that want and need.

Again book two is subtle and unassuming as it carries you along the next stage of the story. It isn't over the top or exaggera

This book is really testing my patience. I read it in within 24 hrs. but believe me, it left me exhausted.

*****Spoilerish review*******

I am tired of all the push and pull between Olivia and David. The constant "this is so wrong... I'm married... I'm hurting Bill... We have to end this now" blah blah blah

Seriously, everytime I read it, I want to pull off my hair because I'm so frustrated. Why? Well because everytime that drama came up, expect some "can't get enough of you" sex.

The sequel was better than the first book. I loved every word, every emotion. It was a CAN NOT PUT THIS DOWN type of book for me. From the beginning I was drawn. I was worried that it was going to drag like some sequels have a tendency of doing, but there was not a dull minute in this book except when Liv’s friends were involved.

I am too invested in these characters’ lives. We see more of Bill and Liv’s relationship in this book. Bill and Liv decide that it is time to move out of the city and b
September where are you?!?!?!?!?

Jessica writes beautifully and knows how to reel you in and connect you with the characters.

Sometimes you pick up a book not knowing what to expect and when you finish the last sentence while holding your breath you know it is truly a great read. That is how I feel right now, breathless. This book was all consuming!!! Intense, sexy and impossible to put down. It took me to the edge and back.. My heart was beating fast the whole time, I felt like everything I was

The second book's story line continues 3 months after the the first book, Come Undone. Olivia continues to believe she has to carry on with her current path of doing what she is expected to do and not what her heart is saying.
I would have much preferred a stronger side of Olivia in this second book, just felt perhaps half way through that she would take actions in her own hand and deal with the guilt she felt and had the strength to see the hurt and suffering she was putting Bill throug

I can't even think of the words to accurately describe what this book evokes but I will try.

As the second book in the series, we follow Liv through and even deeper spiral through the love triangle. If I were looking at this from the outside, I would think that I didn't need another book to just be in the same place as book 1 but I assure you, so much happens and it doesn't feel repetitive or redundant.

This series has me by the "balls" and I have been reading nonstop. My kids are a little irrit

So at this point heading into the final book of the series the way I'm feeling about Olivia

on the other hand there is David

Christ this book gave me so much whiplash I can't even read the final book. I've never wanted to repeatedly stab a heroine so badly. no you!!!! Glad you finally made up your god damn mind....I'm done.

This is the second book in this series Cityscape Affair Series and I absolutely couldn't wait to dive straight into it. This story carries on from the first book Come Undone and carries on with Olivia and David's story which is epic by the way.

Olivia is still having an extremely tough time of it especially with everything that has happened. She's still feeling very guilty and very torn in a million directions but doesn't think she is worthy of feeling that happy. She's still very withdrawn when

So this book picks up a few months after Come Undone and oh does it ever continue to wrap me into knots. This book is NOT for everyone!! If you have any issues with the topics of infidelity, love triangles, verbal abuse, psychological abuse, or realistic marital issues this may not be a series for you. This middle section of the story takes you even deeper into Olivia's world. I really need to read the final book because that ending....WTH!!!

So I'm on page 105....and I want to scream. Not because I love the book but because my hopes of Olivia being less annoying and feeling less sorry for herself completely disintegrated by the 2nd chapter.

I sympathise with the fact that she feels guilty, but she feels less guilty about hurting her husband and more guilty about a man she by her own admission wants to fuck.

I still don't see an emotional connection between Da

This book made me so heavy and sad (Don't read if you haven't read the books)... Liv is heartbroken, she feels guilty, can't stand living with Bill or away from David. Her logical mind tells her, she has a good stable marriage, and David is a player who might leave her once she leaves her husband. Six months pass and they don't meet. Liv has lost a lot of weight and does everything like a dead person, Bill and her friends are worried thinking it's all because she lost a dear friend. But in truth ...more

Someone send me to the damn hospital because I think I'm dying. Thank Jesus I didn't read this books as they came out individually because if I had to wait X amount of time to read each one I think I would die.
I was lucky to have been given an ARC of this book because after the cliffhanger in Come Undone, I needed to get right into this book!

Honestly, I don't even know where to start so I guess I'll begin with the first two words that come to mind ... EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER.

I sat and read Come Alive in one sitting. The storyline and author's writing held my full attention throughout the book, but really pulled me in during the last few chapters and I couldn't stop reading. Overall, this book is a b
Was there a wrong way to fall in love?

To say I absolutely loved this book would be an understatement. I really enjoyed the first in this series & this was the perfect companion. I started reading this last night and couldn't stop, I had to stay up until I finished the whole thing & once it ended? All I wanted was for it to continue. I'm really impressed by this author's writing style, it simply flowed realistically throughout. I was so drawn into the heroine's character that she feel's so re

Wow, what an author. There's enough angst in the book to last me the rest of the year!!! I don't usually do angsty reads, but this was so well written - seamless.

The author does realism so well that you almost feel like a voyeur, peeping into people's lives. I felt like I was with Liv through everything. Yes, I still wanted to shake her at times, but none of the three characters had it easy, and I really felt for them all a lot.

Great tension, chemistry and sex. Loved it.

I am the grateful recipient of an ARC from Netgalley of the amazing second book of the Cityscape Series by Jessica Hawkins - my newest favorite author. :)

At the beginning, we jump right into Liv's life post affair with David. Ms. Hawkins expertly describes the guilt Liv feels as well as the devastation of the love she lost when she turned away from David out of loyalty to her (dead before it began) marriage. The problem here is that she feels remorse and guilt only about the fact that it would h

Review of Come Alive by Jessica Hawkins
I read the first book, Come Undone, in a few hours in one sitting and once again this book didn’t disappoint and I found myself not being able to put it down. Again, I said this in a previous review, but this New Adult is something we haven’t quite seen, a married woman who isn’t looking stumbles upon a guy who takes her breath away every time they make eye contact and we move to book 2, Come Alive.
In this book, we see how much more broken Liv is after endi

Holy Macaroni, Jessica Hawkins. Holy Freaking Macaroni.

Okay, so picture this: me, a serious love triangle addict, angst junkie, sucker for a good romance, always up for some steam filled sexy time, stumbling upon the Cityscape series. Match made in heaven, huh? Well... you are RIGHT. This book was EVERYTHING and more. I seriously expected to like this book, I always go into a book with a glass half full, but I certainly didn't expect to be so fixated on it that I checked the clock and it was 3:3

My god. It’s safe to say that I jumped into knowing what I was going to be getting into, but still completely unprepared for it. And I was a mess throughout it.

This book in one sentence: When you think the second one couldn’t be worse than the first but it was worse, but in all the best ways.

The first book in this series left me…empty. Rereading the review I did for the first book, I think that it just didn’t do the book complete justice. I didn’t go into depth w
