"Flowers in the Dust" has reignited my love for reading. I have not taken time to read for my own pleasure in years. Since I recieved this book last week, I am waiting for a precious few minutes each day to read about Chola and her trials with Hans and the rest of her family. She is such a strong and admirable woman - a devoted mother and committed wife. Her story is so compelling, touching and historically interesting as well.

Great story of the strength of family love, the innocence of young love and the need to control your destiny Sounds heavy, but this story that is a read with great insight into life in South America with well written characters.
