This was the perfect book for us for Natalie's birthday. Even though it isn't about birthdays, it is about how babies unwrap presents, which is all Natalie is really going to understand about her birthday (well, aside from extra people being in the house and cake). It portrayed the sometimes frustrating truth about how babies love the wrapping more than the gift in a way that is as adorable as the real thing.

Another board book adapted into a storyboard, this is perfect for baby storytimes, particularly around the holidays. Give those babies some old squares of wrapping paper to play along and they'll have a ball! Used for Busy Busy Babies baby storytime March 2010.

Mama read this to me for her baby literacy class. We both loved how fun and rhythmic it is.
