Hmm... where to start off...

I suppose I'll start from the beginning... loved this series from the first book. Though 'Divergent' was by far my favourite of the series, I enjoyed 'Insurgent', too. I loved the dynamic between Tris and Tobias; how they treated each other like equals and respected each other's strengths and weaknesses. And, as a teenager, I thought they were SO CUTE together. From the start, I thought they were perfect for each other.

But during Allegiant, that dynamic was lost a li

Why Veronica Roth felt the need to write this "book" is beyond me. No, I actually know the reason but I'm afraid to violate the new GR policy by further eloborating. So lets get straight to business. there's absolutely nothing new and informative in this reference book. The only thing that I actually learned from the "book " was that Veronica Roth doesn't know the difference between utopia and dystopia. She admits as much in the introduction. And then she goes on to explain the meaning of the na ...more

Ok so I really liked the first two books... I really did, I loved Four and Tris as couple, I thought the idea of the Factions was great... but this book.... just ruined everything for me, I'll never be able to recommend these books again, I'll never be able to even read them again...

I really loved Four and Tris and felt like their relationship was really true, and sweet...and its not like I expected nothing bad to happen to them and their friends.... no I knew tons of bad things would happen....

As much as I loved the first two books in this trilogy the last book Allegiant had me wishing that I hadn't read it. I felt like I was empty, and that this book was a waste of time and energy. I did enjoy some aspects of this book, but they were very rare. It was a very slow moving book up until the last few chapters where it spread up and went way too fast. Overall I would recommend this if you have read the first two books and want to finish the trilogy, but don't expect to come out feeling li ...more

I 'll start by stating the fact: Veronica Roth can write anything!
She can write the yellow pages and make them look adventurous, meaningful and with depth..

Now about this book. I think it gave me a better glimpse of her thoughts while she created Divergent's universe. All the beautiful insight she provides us with in this book is valuable.

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- I liked the test..
- It contains an interview with the author..
- Faction Manifestos.
- Many explanations about the creation of Diverge

Amazing! I hated ending this book and the emotional ending takes you on such a roller coaster of feelings. There was a time or two where I once again feared a possible YA "love triangle" crap, but that was quickly resolved. The whole world is open, nothing is what anyone ever thought it would be. Who really is the bad guy? Are they all bad guys? How can the world really be fixed and what will happen to everyone after so many revolutions, rebellions and changes in everything they thought they kne ...more

The end to the Divergent trilogy is here and I don't know how to deal.

I am pretty sure I am still in denial about everything that happened in this book, an I will probably spend the rest of my life waiting for the fourth installment.
The book pretty much starts where we left of in Insurgent and picks everything up from there. I believe that the start was good, intriguing, and kept us wondering what was happening and what was true and what was a lie. I sadly report that along the middle of the boo

So, that was cool. It was really short, straight to the point. It surprised me that Roth mentioned that she has been asked about the words that she chose for each faction, if she invented them... And I think, maybe is because I speak spanish, but actually words like 'Abnegation' that translates to 'Abnegación', and 'Candor' that is actually also 'Candor' in spanish, well, they are not what you would call common, but they are not that rare. Curious personal fact that no one cares about lol.

Anyway

Recommends it for: readers of the Divergent trilogy who may not have liked how it ended
Original review moved to Allegiant Divergent 3 because I, apparently, judge books by their Goodreads covers not by their metadata.

But I actually read this, too. I enjoyed it. I picked this up for free at the bookstore where I work.

An extensive interview with Veronica Roth that gave me a bit more background about where the ideas for the book came from and her attitudes towards her characters. The interview allowed me to think like her while reading Allegiant and remind myself exactly what Roth's

I'm crying because all I can think about is Allegiant.

However I found this refreshing and it's interesting to read how Veronica Roth created this world and her views on the different aspects.

Not enough. I just can't figure out why Roth needed to compile facts about the Divergent trilogy. I mean there is nothing new and enlightening in this book.

I loved the part where all the factions manifesto was written!

I especially loved Amity's. There were some words that made me see a different side with my personal life, changing some of my opinions. "The opinions of others cannot damage you." And, "Give freely, trusting that you will also be given what you need." Struck somewhere in me, hard. I personally believe, at the moment, that Amity's words are the most peaceful, making it the manifesto I favor.

Even though my Faction Quiz's results show

I love Veronica Roth, but Allegiant was just....I don't know how to even describe it, and I have a hard time rating it because my emotions flip flop every time I try to talk about it. So I will try my best with this review.
1. I actually liked the "big shock factor" that happened in this book. I thought it was beautifully done, and it was for sure what made the book something to talk about. It was something most authors wouldn't do and Roth actually said this was part of the entire plan when she

I was excited when I've got the copy of Allegiant. I can't wait to read. (so, I did)
I'm so in love with Divergent and Insurgent (because of the thrill and surprises that it brought me) but (so I'll start to tell how I really feel) Allegiant ?! Maybe I just expected to much... *where is Veronica I've known from the past two series? *where is the full-pack-of-surprises that divergent and Insurgent let me feel? In Allegiant, It's like opening a a big bag of chips and disappointed to found out it's

Allegiant. One of the books I think may be read only once. But if you think you can handle it, then why not?. There's plenty of great moments, and then there's Tris. a brave girl who handled her problems with great knowledge and bravery. That was her, until the end. She's practically the only thing in my mind right now. There's also one of the characters which I was surprised especially from her name. Then there's the heartbreaking moments. The moment of surprise. It's a good book, but I wish for ...more

Seeing as we don't really learn anything new, I'm only rating it 3 stars. Which is considerably high considering my disappointment but I loved the manifesto's so 3 stars it is.

(Question: how do you even rate this?)
So this was an interesting read. I actually enjoy reading about authors' creative process when it comes to writing since I too wish to be a writer one day (in the far, far future). Getting a glimpse into what it takes to write books like Divergent and Insurgent gave me perspective on the author herself and the journey it took to get two bestselling books written.
The only reason I read this was because it came with the box set I bought of the trilogy. To b

Have you ever read the divergent series?if so the wonderful novel Allegiant by Veronica Roth is a pool you should try. In the book Allegiant you start off right where the book insurgent ends. In this scene the main character Beatrice is faced with the choice of staying in the city and help liberate it from the faction less or venture outside the city border where an unknown mystery and answered bout her mothers past lies. Filled with a drive to find the truth about what is beyond the border and ...more

3 e mezzo.

Finally reading the last book in the Divergent series was an exciting and emotional journey. The book brought Tris and Tobias back together in a way that was different from the first 2 books. Each character took turns describing the action that was happening throughout the novel. The perspectives alternated from Tobias and Tris and it gave the reader the opportunity to see a more intricate and emotional glance into both characters thoughts and personality. The story keeps the reader wanting to s ...more
