This is the book that started me on a lifetime of fishing. It’s one of my favorites and remains on my coffee table after 44 years.

I love this book, designed as an introduction to fishing by a long time outdoor writer for a Toronto newspaper. Why? I'm not really sure, except Tiny Bennett so obviously loved fishing and loved passing on his love of this sport to others. Many of the techniques he shares aren't new (and he doesn't seem to think so either), but they're easy to follow and provide a lot of instruction on basic fishing skills. I've actually read the paperback copy I have of this book to death; it's always worth a re-read.
