This is a fantastic resource for cable or Aran knitters but it’s a scan of the original. I found it better to find a used physical copy than this scan.
The best photographs of knitting stitches I've ever seen, close up and clear. One cable stitch per page with charts as well as written directions. Key in the back to every symbol with directions, glossary, stitch index, and basic knitting instructions. Includes master sheet of graph paper. Good binding, book lies open flat. Hints about swatching, ironing, etc. scattered apparently at random as fillers throughout the book. Probably more helpful if they'd been collected in one place with the other explanatory matter. And I couldn't find anything on how to cable without a cable needle or keep the stitches neat. For cablers, this is a valuable addition.
I love, love, love this book. The patterns are beautiful and diverse, and the binding allows you to just lay the book open and work from it. There aren't any charts, so if you work from those that might be an issue.
Wonderful, fantastic reference tool. I go back to this, and it's sisters, over and over for inspiration and ways to jazz up an otherwise boring pattern. I also use these books to turn a little yarn into a beautiful scarf with interest and detail.
