Personal Assets

Rate this book
Sex therapist Allie Shelby has the professional credentials, but she could use a bit more practical experience. Finding the right man to bring out her inner bad girl is tough in a population-challenged Texas town. So when sinfully sexy Cameron Wright rolls back into Shelbyville, Allie wastes no time inviting him to join her in some hands-on research.

Cameron has come home to fulfill his dream of restoring classic cars. Back in high school, he knew the town princess, Allie Shelby, was way out of his league. Today he has even less in common with Allie, so he's shocked as hell when she propositions him. Still, he's only human, so he accepts her offer—and with each encounter, she shows him another, wilder side. Before long, he's thinking about more than just sex.

But while her personal life heats up, Allie's business is about to crash and burn. And she has to convince Cameron that she's one princess who's not looking for a prince to ride to her rescue.

I loved this book, and did not want to quit reading until I had reached the end. Cameron Wright has moved back home to Shelbyville to open a business of restoring old cars. He is sexy, sometimes grumpy, and always adorable. Allie Shelby, happens to be a sex therapist in the same town. She is independent, sassy, and headstrong. When Cameron and Allie, get together, sparks fly and not always in a sexual way. Kelsey Browning did a wonderful job writing this book, it has a great plot, steamy sex scenes and some humor thrown in. Hopefully, there will be more books, that will include the secondary characters of Roxanne, Eden, Jamie, and Beck. Loved them all. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves romance, sex, and humor. Kelsey Browning did a fantastic job on her debut novel!!

You are all in for a treat. Debut author Kelsey Browning brings us a great new contemporary romance that will have you fanning yourself and laughing at the same time. If you like Jill Shalvis and Shannon Stacey you will enjoy Kelsey Browning's new release, Personal Assets. Kelsey writes witty banter and hot romance in a small town community that will gossip about its people but also support them. Kelsey brings her own level of sass to the story which makes for a very entertaining read. The writing is smooth, the plot is original and the characters are well developed.

Cameron and Allie are an unlikely pair. Cameron grew up in Shelbyville but has lived away for awhile. He comes back to town to start up his business and runs into the town princess, Allie, who he learns is running a sex therapy business. While Cameron really wants nothing to do with the princess, Allie is looking for a bad boy to play with. Take two very independent people with their own preconceived ideas about one another and you have an entertaining story.

Kelsey does a great job of weaving several plot lines together in Personal Assets and that really made it about more than just the main characters. She does a fantastic job of setting up the town and building the foundation for future books in the series.

The romance between Cameron and Allie was not what I expected (in a good way). You always have an idea in your head when you start reading a book of how you think it will go, but Kelsey keeps you guessing and is so fun to experience along with the characters. The intimate scenes were hot, well written and fit the characters and plot nicely. Some of them were down right funny.

Cameron learns that Allie isn't just the princess he remembers growing up. She is a woman who is trying to make it on her own and without the interference of her Father who does not approve of her career path. Cameron has his hands full with his Mother who clearly is living a life he is surprised about.

You experience a lot of emotions while reading this book, which makes it such a well rounded story. If you are looking for a small-town Texas romance full of sexy, sassy characters who learn heartwarming lessons about family and community I highly recommend Personal Assets!

I love when a book grabs you immediately and refuses to let go! That's what happened when I picked up PERSONAL ASSETS, which is book 1 in the Texas Nights series.

When the town princess Allie Shelby literally runs into Cameron Wright, the sparks immediately start flying. Sex therapist Allie can't stop thinking about the return of the town's notorious bad boy, and when her clients insist she practice what she preaches, she knows Cameron is the man for the job.

Cameron has returned to Shelbyville, TX to open his car restoration business and has no plans to get involved with Miss High and Mighty…the two of them may as well be from different planets! Despite the attraction that is evident, Cameron is shocked when Allie makes him an offer of all the sex he can handle with none of the strings. He's nowhere near strong enough to resist a good girl who wants to be bad!

But forces are working hard to get Allie's business, Personal Assets, shut down, and Cameron has been asked to lead the charge. How will he reconcile his growing feelings for Allie with the business needs of his community? Can Allie save her business and her relationship with Cameron before it's too late?

I absolutely adored this book! Allie was a strong, no-nonsense woman who knew what she wanted and went after it with gusto. Despite the fact that her conservative father all but runs the town, Allie pursued her passion of helping women own their sexuality. She's up against a lot of people who want to see her shut down, but she's also got a lot of people willing to fight for her.

Even though Allie helps others with their sexual hang-ups, she has a hard time applying her own advice to her love life. Cameron sparks something in her that she hasn't felt before, and when she approached him, I completely loved his reaction! He bumbled and stammered and truly couldn't reconcile the prim and proper princess of his youth with the sexual dynamo propositioning him with hot monkey sex! I don't envy his position of trying to become the respectable owner and having to work toward making the town seem as morally perfect as possible, especially when he can't seem to keep his hands off of the very princess he's trying to shut down (seriously, the scene in Cameron's garage was just…WOW!).

The two of them together were absolutely incredible. Their chemistry was completely combustible and the sex scenes were both erotic and sweetly passionate. The relationship between them grew and blossomed organically and I felt that it was very well-written. The character development of both Allie and Cameron was also very well-written. She's been given too much in life, he's given too much in life. Neither is quite sure how to change it, especially when Cameron plays the knight in shining armor and she doesn't want to be his damsel in distress. The entire book was very satisfying for me and I cannot wait to pick up more in this series!

Did not work for me. I just couldn’t get interested.

Allie is flaky, easily distracted and interrupted. She isn’t paying attention and her car hits Cam’s car. Her job is helping women with personal image and having better sex. Allie hasn’t had sex in ages. She decides to go after Cam for sex - to help her in her work. She’s the pursuer and the seducer, touching him to get him to want her. My favorite stories usually have the man doing the pursuing and showing strong desire for a woman. I’m sure I’ve liked stories without that, but not this story.

Cam’s the good guy. He’s attracted to Allie from the start, but she doesn’t give him a chance to pursue her because she is so fast and demanding from the start. His reluctance was more about surprise than not liking her. She was just too fast. When they do have sex, he’s great during sex. Then he gets mad when she takes notes afterwards. I didn’t blame him. I didn’t want him to be with her.

Some side stories: Allie’s father is cancelling Allie’s business loan because he doesn’t like the “sex” business she is in. The locals worry that a new large employer won’t come to town because of Allie’s “sex” business.

I was bored and stopped reading at 45%.

DATA:
Narrative mode: 3rd person. Story length: 230 pages. Swearing language: strong including religious swear words. Sexual language: strong. Two long sex scenes in the first half. Setting: current day Texas. Copyright: 2013. Genre: contemporary romance.

First, this is a seriously fun book. Crisp, fun writing style, lots of humor and a wonderful, charming town full of believable characters. The heroine is flawed (sometimes I got mad at her for being so human) and the hero is super sexy and the sort who will don a superman cape at the drop of a pin. The secondary storylines were woven nicely. Loved the side story romance of Emmalee...and the fact that in this book, the women don't need saving. They can do it themselves. But at the same time, I was a little miffed at the heroine for being so hasty to assume Cameron was trying to control her...and aggravated she'd dresses him down in front of everyone in town. Of course, it's also realistic. Even the good guys (and gals) aren't perfect. Overall, it's a nice read. Very Texas, very Southern and very sassy.

Really wish there was a 1/2 star function, Goodreads :)

Happy to keep this one on my kindle and I can tell there are more books coming. Yay, for readers!

I loved this book and can’t believe that this is the author’s debut novel, it was amazing. I love Allie and the fact that she is a strong and independent female. I love Cameron who fixes classic cars he is a man after my own heart because I am a woman who loves classic cars. I love how Cameron wants to help Allie but she is too headstrong to let him. This is a very sexy and steamy read and will keep you reading all night long. I couldn't read this book fast enough and hated to put it down. I fell in love with all of the characters and felt myself rooting for them all. If you love a good romance with some steamy romance then this book is for you. I can’t wait to read more books from this series and from this author!

Personal Assets was so much fun to read! I still can't believe this was a debut novel. Kelsey Browning wrote a perfect small-town story. Great romance between the smart & self sufficient Allie and studly hometown guy,Cameron. Their dialogue was witty, self-deprecating at times, and always sincere. Add to that their smokin' hot chemistry, and WOW! They were so much fun to read. As if their relationship weren't enough to satisfy, we also get to see how the people of Shelbyville work together to support each other. I loved the supporting cast of characters so much!
I'm really looking forward to the next book Ms. Browning releases.

If you're a fan of small-town contemporary romance, I can't stress enough that you need to read this book! Excellent story!

Sex therapist Allie sets her sights on returning hometown boy and mechanic Cameron to prove she can walk the walk as well as talk the talk. Hilarity, wit and sexiness ensue, and soon both find they want to change the sex-only rules. Complications include Cameron’s mother as a client and Allie’s controlling banker father, who wants her do something more “appropriate.” Internal and external conflict abound, with a somewhat weak father/daughter confrontation, but have no fear, there’s a happy ending.

I enjoyed this book very much. What started out as a fling of course turns into much more. It was interesting to watch Allie figure out how to save her very interesting consulting business. I loved the small town too where everyone knows your business but will do anything to help you out. Cameron was Allie's distraction until he becomes hard to ignore. Great characters and great story. Onto the next book in Texas Nights!

Allie has opened a sex therapy business in her hometown, because she believes that the women need to become more sure of themselves, since it will help them and their relationships. Not everyone one in her conservative hometown thinks this is a good idea, though, particularly her father, and especially since it shares a building with a lingerie shop, which is run by her best friend. One of her therapy groups is being challenged to do something bold sexually, and of course, since she is leading the group, they also challenge her to do the same. To that end, Allie decides to go after a guy that she never would have had the guts to go after when she was in high school, even though she noticed him.
Cameron has moved back to town to open a shop restoring cars, and one of the first thing that happens to him is that he is run into by the town princess, Allie. Cameron remembers Allie from school, and doesn't really have any feelings about her one way or the other from that time, but his feelings of annoyance and attraction in the now are definitely getting in his way. When Cameron left town, he wasn't really one of the top citizens, but now because he owns his own business, he is considered one of the up-and-comers, including by Allie's father, with whom he doesn't have a good history.

Allie and Cameron got off to a rocky start, but I enjoyed the way they actually got to know one another, and got away from their pasts in the town. This was sweet, without being too cloying, and just enough angst, without huge, stupid misunderstandings to mar the story.

Personal Assets is the debut contemporary romance from Kelsey Browning. This is the first book in her Texas Nights series, and I thought it was a really great start for her. This book was fun, entertaining and absolutely hot! It's not very often that you find a book that can have you laughing out loud one minute and then fanning yourself the next, but Browning definitely accomplished that with this one. I loved Allie and Cameron, but I also thought that the secondary characters were fabulous as well. I am really looking forward to reading the rest in this series.

Cameron returns to his home town after buying a garage so that he can start his dream business of restoring cars. He is also looking to settle down and find a girl that he can spend his life with. He never expects that they town princess could be the one he is looking for. Allie Shelby might have grown up the town princess, but she is nothing like Cameron remembers. Now a sex therapist, Allie uses her education to help the women of their small town achieve happiness. She decides that in order to really help her clients she needs a little more hands on experience, and Cameron is the perfect choice for her no-strings relationship. As the two begin to see each other, it is impossible for either of them to keep things strictly physical even though neither one wants to admit this to the other. But when her business runs into trouble, Cameron offers to help her and explains how he feels. Tired of letting men run her life, Allie goes out of her way to show Cameron that not only is she not the princess he thinks she is, but that she is a grown woman and is capable of taking care of herself.

Cameron is hot and has that whole bad boy thing going on, all the while being sweet and caring. He sacrificed so much for his mom and brother after his dad left when he should have been enjoying being a kid. He was impossible not to love! Allie at first glance seems to be the princess Cameron describes her as, but underneath she is anything but. I really enjoyed getting to see Cameron discover that she was different than he though. Allie was sweet and loyal and determined. I thought it was really great to see that she went out of her way for her friends, even if the decisions she made were not the best. Cameron and Allie couldn't have been more different, but they definitely proved why opposites attract and they were beyond perfect for each other. The chemistry and sex between them was smoking hot and I loved those scenes, but I also loved the witty banter they shared!

Overall, this was an amazing debut for Kelsey Browning and her Texas Nights Series. Cameron and Allie were so believable and real and I couldn't put this one down. I am really excited to see where she takes this series, and I really want to read Jamie's (Cameron's brother) story! He really grabbed my attention and I can't wait to see where he ends up. This book is one you definitely won't want to miss, especially if you are a contemporary romance fan.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

I was overjoyed to be able to review this book from the moment I read the excerpt I just new it was my type of book. Kelsey Browning Brings us a beautiful funny contemporary romance one which will make you ooo and aargh

Allie Shelby is a sex therapist she has all the right professional credentials, but she could really use a bit if not allot more practice... and experience. But finding the very man to help her bring out her inner wild girl is extremely especially in a tough small challenged Texas town. So when the most sinfully handsome Cameron Wright strolls right back into Shelbyville, She wastes no time at all when she invites him to join her with some fun hands-on research.

Cameron has come back home to fulfil his long time dream of restoring classic old cars. Back in the good old days of high school, he knew her Allie Shelby as the town princess, she had always been way out of his reach. Now in the present day he has nothing if anything at all in common with Allie, so when she offers him the proposition of a lifetime he is beyond shocked the town princess propositioning him. Well who is he not to accept.... he's only human after all, so he does the only thing he can think of but too accept her most generous offer. Now with each and every encounter, she shows him another side to her, the wild side, the kind side, the naughty but nice side. And before long, he's starting to think more about themselves than just sex.

But whilst her personal life is heating up, Allie's business is about to take a nose dive. know she has to convince Cameron that she is one princess that is not looking for a prince to save to save her she can do it herself.

Kelsey has done such an amazing job with her story line and weaving the plots lines together it made the book much more than just about the main characters. I just love how Kelsey has done such a great job of setting up this amazing town and building up such a great foundation for her future books.

When we first meet Allie I had this preconceived notion about her but I was soon proved wrong, she is everything and more, she shows us how she is more than just a label. Allie embodies the word kindness she has such a greatness about her that it made me feel ashamed at how I judged her, it goes to show you never judge a book by its cover.

Cameron what can I say yum..... he is the type of man you so want to have your hands all over and then some … lol he has a kind heart and all he wants is acceptance from the town where he warms your heart he also frustrates the hell out of you but in such a way that you no in the end you will forgive him.

My favourite character in the book has to be Cameron mum... yes his mum he so doesn't expect her to have a love life but after all when do children really want to think of that seriously ….

A fantastic heart warming story that will for sure warm you at night and by day make you smile.

Allie Shelby takes great pride in helping women rediscover their identities, reclaim their inner strength, and explore their sexual side through therapy at Personal Assests. After college she returned home, took out a loan from her father's bank, and opened her therapy business in an effort to help the women residing in her little town. While her father didn't approve of her career choice, he still gave her the loan, with the hope that her little business venture would be a flop and she'd decide to take up a more reputable career. After the passing of her mother her father has taken his parenting role a little overboard, and has tried to control Allie's every move and decision, so she sees her business as not only a way to help others, but also help her gain a little independence too, and finally free herself from her father's clutches.

When she challenges her clients to push their sexual limits a little, they decide to challenge her to practice what she preaches, and encourage her to indulge in a little strings free rendezvous, so she decides to see if her childhood crush is up for some fun. Cameron Wright caught her eye long ago and when she hears he's returned home to open a new business she decides he's the perfect companion for her little strings free mission. Cameron is more than willing to take her up on her offer, but he's a nervous about the strings free part, he's sewed his wild oats and is now ready to settle down, now he just has to convince her that is what she wants to...

This was my first encounter with Ms. Browning's work, and I can say with complete certainty that it won't be my last! I loved reading Cameron and Allie's story, and I look forward to seeing what the she has in store for the other characters in the series. The story line was very engaging, inventive, and unlike anything else that I have read in a while, which made for a very refreshing first read. I highly recommend you add this series to your reading list, it's sure to satisfy all your reading needs, and then some!

Personal Assets was a delightful surprise. I love small town novels and Ms. Browning delivered a novel full of small town quirks. Fans of Victoria Dahl, Marina Adair and Juliana Stone will enjoy this novel.

Cameron has come back home to a small town in Texas to pursue his dream of owning his own Classic Car Restoration business. He has been gone for some time and the changes in his hometown will surprise him. Allie is the biggest shock. Everything about her is not what he expected. She is not the same rich, snooty girl he used to know. Where they avoided each other at all cost in high school, it’s quite the opposite now. And even a bigger shock is Allie’s job…and the proposition she has to offer him.

I love Cameron. He is your typical small town man who holds strong to his hometown values. His reaction to the new “unconventional” events in his life almost gave him a heart attack. Allie and his mom are women of the Twenty-First Century and this is something he just cannot accept. Don’t get me wrong he’s not a Misogynist by the least. But he’s very old fashioned and has a heart of a “knight in shining armor”. I thought he was sweet and endearing. Fortunately, Allie is a very strong willed woman and she will bring him to his knees and force to the new age. Cameron and Allie were pretty hot together. Ms. Browning did good pairing them up.

The secondary characters were well portrayed. Cameron’s mom, in particular, is my favorite. After losing being single for some time, she is finally giving love a second chance. Of course, Cameron will not let that go that easy. I was really awed by his protectiveness over his mom. But how she handles Cameron about her personal relations was a sight to see. Her love story made a great addition to this novel indeed.

Personal Assets is the first book in the Texas Nights series by Kelsey Browning. I was lucky enough to be approved for a review copy from NetGalley thanks to the publisher.

I loved both Allie and Cameron from the moment they appeared on the page. The chemistry between them was incredible from the beginning, and only got hotter the more time they spent together. Allie is a sex therapist who hasn't had any practical experience in a while. When the ladies she meets with challenge her to step up and take a chance, Cameron is the only man that comes to mind. Cameron and Allie grew up on different sides of the tracks, so to speak. Cameron has been working since he was 15 to make sure his mom and brother had a good life. Allie grew up with pretty much all the comforts available. Big difference, Cameron had the love of his mom and brother and Allie never really felt like she has had the love of a parent after her mom passed away.

Allie had borrowed money from her dad’s bank to set up both her store Personal Assets and her best friend’s Roxanne’s lingerie store Red Light. Her dad is very unhappy with her choice in vocation and wants nothing more than to close down both her store and Roxanne’s. He calls in her loan and it is up to Allie to figure out a way to keep things going. I’ll admit Cameron messed up a little while dealing with Allie at this point, but his brother Jamie totally steps up to help Allie out and Cameron in the process. I have to say I fell a little bit in love with Jamie in this book and can’t wait for his story.

I fell in love with Allie and Cameron as a couple the more time they spent together. Not that everything was smooth sailing between them, but there was never a lack of emotion as I read this story. I loved Personal Assets so much. This book is laugh out loud funny at times. Add in the sinfully sexy moments between Cameron and Allie, and this book is a winner all around.

This is the 1st in the Texas Nights series. It is written by Kelsey Browning.
It is the story of Allie & Cameron. Allie is a sex therapist, who also teaches women how to find their confidence and inner voice. Cameron is a classic car restorer. Both have come back to Shelbyville after leaving after high school. Allie has opened up her business, and Cameron has just bought a garage for his.
Allie was the town princess back in the day; her Dad runs the bank, so he basically runs the town. Cameron was a jock who had to pick up the slack after his Dad left his Mom. Cameron always thought Allie was out of his league. He runs into her on his first day to his new garage when she hits his beloved car, BB, with her big, shiny escalade. Sparks and interest are definitely there when he approaches her about the damage to his car.
Allie gets confronted from the women she helps in her group therapy class about why she doesn't have a man in her life. She decides she better get some more experience of her own, to show the women what she teaches them does work. In a small town population, there aren't many men who she would want to help bring out her inner bad girl. Since Cameron is back in town, since he is very easy on the eyes, and since she knows that he is interested in her, Allie propositions him with a no strings attached fling. Cameron is shocked, but since he does have an interest in her, he accepts the offer. He learns more about Allie, and starts to think about other things than just sex.
Allie's father does not approve of her business. He would like nothing better than to see it fail. He does one last thing that could be the end of Allie's job. Cameron tries to help her, but this is one princess who wants to prove to everyone that she can rescue herself.
I enjoyed this book SO much! It grabbed me from the start and kept my interest all the way through. It is very sexy, sassy, funny, and touching. I can't wait to read more books in this series.

Personal Assets by Kelsey Browning is the first book in her Texas Nights series. This was a fun read and a great introduction to Shelbyville, TX.
Allie Shelby was the daughter of the town's most prominent family in Shelbyville. Growing up she was the "good girl" that always did what her mother and father expected of her until her mom passed away. She went to college and came home with her college degree and has opened Personal Assets. Personal Assets is a sex counseling service but it really is so much more than that to her clients. Allie has become strong and independent in spite of her father who has controlled and manipulated her whole life. However, she now needs a "special project" to bring out her sensual and sexual side.
Cameron Wright has just returned to Shelbyville from Austin. He's bought the local garage and dreams of restoring old cars to their former glory. He also wants to be there for all of the locals to keep their cars in top shape without the expense of "chain" garages. He was from a very dysfunctional family and supported his mother and his brother from the age of 14. He saw himself as "the man of the family" so his first inclination is to ride to the rescue and fix whatever has broken. I loved Cameron because he was smart and strong and his family came first.
These characters are fully developed and the secondary characters added so much to the story. I liked every one of these characters and would enjoy spending time with each one and get to know them better. A smooth plot, insights into each character, hot and sexy times with Allie and Cameron, laugh out loud moments and a story that kept me turning the pages and cheering Allie and Cameron on to an HEA. I will definitely be looking forward to the next book in this series.
I was given an ARC by Carina Press in exchange for an honest review. My opinon is my own and was not influenced by the publisher giving me the ARC.

Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous.

Note: This ebook was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Personal Assets is the first book in the Texas Nights series from author Kelsey Browning and is a small town romance between two people who would have never gone out with one another when they were in high school but it's amazing what a few years and a bit of growing up will do to make you see differently. Allie Shelby may have seen Cameron Wright's younger brother as the safer option when they were in high school, but now he's the only one she wants to spend her time with. She may have started the whole thing with Cameron as a purely research type project for her sex therapy business, but feelings begin to get involved and everything becomes far more complicated when a bank loan needs to be paid in two weeks.

Allie and Cameron are highly likable main characters and while there's certainly a lot of heat going on, these two have quite a few humorous encounters together. While their relationship may have started off as purely casual, things escalate pretty quickly but complications also arise soon after. Aside from dealing with their evolving feelings toward each other, their respective dealings with the other's parent (Allie with Cameron's mother and Cameron with Allie's father) adds a layer of tension that they have to handle. This was definitely not your usual damsel-in-distress-with-knight-in-shining (or tarnished)-armor romance and I liked the author's creative take. The rest of the series is on my radar and Personal Assets gets four stars. ♥

Personal Assets

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first time that I had read anything by this author. I admit that I read a lot of books and am always on the look out for new and exciting authors. I love adding new names to my list of authors that I need to read. I found another one in Kelsey Browning. Personal Assets has all the important ingredients to make a great read. Well fleshed out and likable characters, secondary characters that leave you wanting to know their stories, a plot that makes you sit at the end of your seat as you read it and of course mystery and intrigue, a little dilemma or two to ensure you, the reader just keeps turning those pages and wanting more.

Allie Shelby runs a therapy clinic where she counsels women on how to stay true to themselves and go after what they need, both emotionally and sexually. Allie has decided to follow her own advice and go after the newly returned to town hottie Cameron Wright.

What follows is page after page of literary delight at Allie and Cameron engage in some sheet burning adventures. Allie has some financial issues that she need to take care of and that is causing grief for her. Cameron realizes that his mom is one of Allie's clients and he is not sure how to handle that.

If you want a sweet romance with so much more than this is the book for you. I laughed and alternatively gritted my teeth as these two tried to figure out their lives. I loved Emmalee and her new romance with Charlie. Allie's best friends and Cameron's brother also brought much depth to the story line.

I would rate this story a 4/5 and am definitely reading the next ones in the series.

During their school years Allie was Miss Popular and the rich spoilt princess that Cameron and his brother were never good enough for. When school finished they all went their separate ways and now they have found themselves both back in town after life has chucked obstacles in their ways and forced them both to re-evaluate their life plans. For Allie, after suffering a tragedy in the romance section , she came back to town to open a Sexual Therapist business helping the women of the town with their questions and exploration as well as assisting them in the raising of their own personal self-esteem. Cameron on the other hand , had all the makings of a professional softball player destined to make it big until an accident set him back and now he is in town ready to re-open an automotive business. When the pair of them meet for the first time in years , it's not under great impressions as Allie crashes into his car. The story goes on and we see the passion spark between Cameron and Allie. It gets real interesting and into a romance when Allie is challenged to explore her sexual fantasies as her own advice is chucked back into her face by her own patients. What will happen when Allie chooses Cameron for her project ? Will this pair's no-strings turn into a strings and all in relationship ? Are they both capable of committing to one person ?

I was asked to read Personal Assets for an honest review. It’s only the second of Kelsey Browning’s books I have read. This is a great beginning in her Texas Nights series.

When the town Princess runs into the resident Bad Boy, years later when he moves back, sparks fly. Allie is now a sex therapist who decides she better practice what she preaches. She knows Cameron is just the guy to teach her to be a little bad. When Allie propositions Cameron, she may get more than she bargains for.

Cameron comes back to his hometown to open the garage he has always wanted. He can’t believe his luck when he see’s Allie again after all these years. He always knew she was out of his league in High School, so when Allie offers him a chance for a no-strings attached relationship, he’d be stupid to turn her down. Problem is Cameron wants more from Allie than she may want to give. Can he convince her they belong together?

Things are going well till Allie’s business is in trouble. Cameron wants to do what he always does for the people he cares for and fix it. Allie wants to be independent, to show everyone she’s not the princess they see her as.

I really enjoyed this story of these two strong willed characters who’s chemistry sizzles on the pages. Things heat up between Cameron and Allie while they continue to butt heads. I love the small town feeling with characters who care and look out for each other.

Cameron Wright has come back home to Shelbyville to live out his dream of owning a car restoration business.

Allie Shelby is a sex therapist whose clients are encouraging her to practise what she preaches.

In their high school days, these two had nothing in common. Now, even less so. Yet, when they bump into each other one day, the sparks begin to fly. Allie puts forth a proposition to Cameron which he accepts, but before long, he’s mentally violating the terms of the agreement.

As their relationship develops, Allie’s business runs into trouble. Cameron wants to help her, but any help Allie has been offered in the past comes with a price…

I was barely half way through this book when I was ready to pack my bags and move to Shelbyville. Kelsey Browning’s debut novel is a smash hit in my eyes. The story is captivating, the characters are lovable (really, I’m moving there) and the love scenes are red hot. I could picture everything in my head as I read the book. Right down to the Cameron’s grimy garage and Allie’s art-stuffed office space.

I even contacted Browning begging for more books. Please tell me this is a series! (It is, YAY!) I can’t wait for more of Shelbyville, or anything else by Kelsey Browning. Don’t miss this red hot read. It’s a perfect vacation when you have to stay right where you are.

In the small Texas town of Shelbyville, Allie Shelby is the town princess and she owns Personal Assets. She is not just a sex therapist, she is a confidence builder and a helper of women to make their lives better and happier. A way for women to learn how to be more satisfied in all ways. When Allie is challenged to take her own advice, who would she pick? Earlier in the week Allie found out the Cameron Wright was back in town after she literally run into him. Cameron is back in town to make is dreams come true, opens a auto body repair shop and working on old muscle cars and making them new again. So who better to help her but Cameron, he is good-looking, helpful, protective of those he loves and would be perfect for her project. When Allie propositions him, he can't believe it, since they were in school he knew she was way out of his league. Now it is all he can think about but can they keep their feelings out of the deal? Will Allie's father keep her under his control and make her lose Personal Assets just so it make the town look better? With Cameron, Jamie, Roxanne, Eden and Cameron's mom Emmalee, can they all help Allie before it is too late? I am loving this new series (Texas Nights) by Kelsey Browning and I can't wait for more.

LOVED THIS BOOK! Cameron he just amused me through out the whole story, "Jesus, bare-a**ed or half of Shelbyville ogling his pretty-in-pink underwear? Give me bare-a**ed any day." His mind is something else, "if she'd worn a skirt today, he would surely know the make, model and color of Allie Shelby's panties." That's okay Allie is just as shameless as Cameron, "she checked out the fit of his faded jeans. bada**, maybe. Fine a**, absolutely." I mean Cameron is really shameless I guess that's why he's the bad boy, "you mean because I was in this big bed alone with my fist wrapped around my di**? Instead of having this -" he plunged his finger into her, "- wrapped around me instead?" Even though Cameron doesn't want to admit it (out loud that is) Allie can get away with anything with him, "one thing was for damn sure. Allie had her hands firmly wrapped around Cameron's balls." He's also protective, "I don't care who he is or what he wants, but he needs to learn he can't treat a woman that way." His eyes went narrow and mean. "Especially not mine." I really would love Jamie's story next he was an interesting character (ps he's Cameron's younger brother) and his mind was just as entertaining if not more as Camerons, "s*** kittens? Cameron probably passed a bobcat."
