Please forgive me if this doesn't make sense to you, but sometimes, my mind tells me it sound actually awesome but I'm the only one that understands it!

I was afraid to read this book, afraid doesn't really begin to cover it, I was in panic to read it. The last love triangle I had read was Molly McAdams "Taking Chances", and I was broken for about 2 weeks, so my poor little heart was afraid to hit the book.

A glass of wine later, and some smoothing music in the background, I took a deep breath and

5 Stars

Wow! I rarely shed tears over a book or rate a book 5 stars (only once before this year), but I did both with Choices. If that says anything, then you must add this to your tbr and head over to Amazon or Barnes & Noble now!

Quincy Priest is the perfect daughter, perfect sister, perfect student. She leaves home for college, attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with her best friend Jenna, but can she maintain this persona? At a party they meet 3 fraternity brothers, Eric, D

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Quincy, Brody and Declan's book.

Quincy is perfect. The perfect daughter, student and sister always has been, and she is tired of it. She has lived under her sisters shadow for her whole life, her sister is not only bi-polar, but she is a drug addict too. That makes Quincy's life insanely crazy, she doesn't know when her sister will be up or down. So she goes to college with her best friend Jenna. She wants to

MAYA'S REVIEW - 2-in-1 review of Choices and Fate

I shall start by saying that both books are about the same people Quincy, Brody and Declan's told from different points of view.

In CHOICES, we meet Quincy who is the perfect girl at home compared to her sister who is a drug addict and suffering from bi-polar syndrome. I connected with her struggle to come out of her sister's shadow especially since her sister seems to have all the attention. So when the opportunity comes to escape to college, she

hmmm.... i felt that this book had a lot of potential; it showed real world problems and situations but somewhat failed for me in the follow through. i felt that it was very obvious who she was going to end up with but it annoyed me to no end how spineless she was towards the two guys-> it's sucky to string people along, get to the point and make a choice...
i dunno... i was a little disappointed. there were times when i enjoyed it and laughed with the characters but then rolled my eyes and go

First I would like to Thank Sydney for giving me the opportunity to read before her book was released. I am honored and will cherish this for my life. I wish I could just say how I truly feel but I cant give any spoilers: It's not released yet. Lets just say this will be added to my favorites. This book hit home for me as I have been through the same deal. So many emotions, love, lust, anger, rage, and loss. I read this pretty much in one sitting. For Lanes first book she rocked it. I read this way back when it first released. This was my first read by the author and I loved it. The cover and title and soon the synopsis was what drew me into reading this. I'm a sucker for love triangles, and let's not forget good girl falling for bad boy themed.

This was a great red, the writing and characters both had me swooning and laughing along with them. If I remember correctly I flew through this fairly quickly and from beginning to end It was hard to put down because, I just had to k

Review for Choices (3 stars) and Fate (3.5 stars):

I usually steer clear of books that I know will involve a love triangle, because they drive me batty. But I decided to grab up this book because I was intrigued by two such polar opposite love interests vying for Quincy’s attention. To have the sweet friend-prince charming versus the smoking hot player, there was bound to be a lot of tension and angst here, and of course at least one broken heart.

With Choices from Quincy’s perspective and Fate fr

Yvette ~ Nose Stuck in a Book
Books revolving around love triangles are simultaneously the most fascinating and frustrating stories to read, and Sydney Lane’s debut novel, Choices, is no exception. Fans of Metamorphosis by Erin Noelle and Taking Chances by Molly McAdams will delight in the hot manwich in which protagonist Quincy Priest unwittingly finds herself stuck in the middle. The constant tension – sexual or otherwise – surrounding Quincy and her two love interests, Brody and Declan, is stressful to say the least, with ...more

The first thing that I have to say is that I absolutely love the cover of this book. I normally try to resist the love triangles but something about this cover just drew me in. It's simple, yet beautiful. And I loved the story just as much!

This is my type of book , easy to read and just enough drama and hot sex to make me want more and not be able to put it down !!

Here we meet Quincy Priest , young and heading off to college for the 1st time with her best friend. She is happy to escape her life at home with a Bi-polar sister and parents that expect her to be perfect. She is tired of being perfect and maybe college life will loosen her up a bit. Already

Choices (Choices 1) Sydney Lane

Quincy Priest has always been in the shadow of her sister. Now away at college with her best friend she meets two perfect guys, total opposites of each other.
Quincy struggles to make the right choice. Does she choose Declan? He is handsome, sweet and dependable. Her head tells her he is the ideal guy. He would never hurt her and she trusts him.
Or will she choose Brody? He is hot, sexy and mysterious. She can’t stop thinking about him but doesn’t think he’s the

A sweet story about a first love and the challenges of being TOO caring. Trying hard to please everyone can be exhausting, especially when some of those people have deep seated issues. When stuck between who you think you should want and who you really want, it's not always easy to let go give in. Making choices is hard work, and the author did a good job conveying how hard those choices can be sometimes. The story flowed well, had good character development, and a deeper plot then small town gi ...more

This was a college setting love triangle. It was a little less tense than another book I read that was similar but heart breaking nonetheless. Now I think I wanted to beat the crap out of Quince. She was leading Declan on and not fully giving herself to Brody creating a shit storm when things came to a head. Quince also had some family issues that came to a head causing a fall out all the way around. Some hot juicy sex scenes- nothing to detailed or raunchy. Fabulous ending.

Oh, the dilemma; a good girl doing what she believes is bad.
This story grabbed my heart and made me feel young again. And I am grateful those younger years are done for me. Ah, the tender years. The age where we were too young to be adults, and too old to be children.
Choices? Yes, and Quincy had to consider a couple. But committing to one was difficult for her when her heart was torn between her beliefs and discovery.
This whole read took me back a few. And when Quincy’s heart finally broke, that

This story had me so worried for this characters! All the guys are amazing and i wanted them to be happy very badly. I was at the edge through every page and i'm not going to lie- there were so many times i wanted to slap Quince (female character) in the face! But situations get out of control an sometimes this characters don't even have control of their own actions... This book had me crying, fighting, feeling streessed out, but also happy with the outcome. To me- it is good when a book changes ...more

I really wanted this book to be better, but it ended up being cliche, shallow, and under-developed. I was rather disappointed. I won't remember this book because there is really nothing about it that stands out. The characters were cookie-cutter and bland. The main character especially was a Mary Sue type who was so contradictory that I couldn't keep up. I made it through most of the book before I realized I just didn't care anymore. So that's all I'm forcing myself through on this one, sadly. I ...more

What can I say about this story? I have never had such a hard time reading a book. I don't know how many times I had to stop reading this story. I have never been SO TOUCHED. I was getting anxious and afraid to continue reading at times. I was so afraid of what was going to happen. Caution with every page. I actually felt as if I was a part this story. I was in it. With each turn of the page there was heat and heartbreak. Sydney is an amazing writer and I look forward to reading more of her work ...more

I won this book last night from the author, I started it this morning and couldnt put it down! That was a roller coaster of emotion! And it was great! This is a love triangle book, which I love! The frustration is what keeps you reading! Declan and Brody are both great catches, and I love how through the whole book, you think you know then you don't! Of course she picked who I would have picked! Great characters, great plot and a great story! I am looking forward to reading more from this author ...more

Love triangle...two guys and one girl. Quincy goes away to college with her best friend and manages to get out from her sisters shadow or so she thinks. She wants to be her own person and get away from the family secrets that hold her back. The quiet girl begins to blossom and she meets two perfect guys in their own right. One is the super sexy, bad boy type and the other the sweet, perfect and handsome shoulder to cry on. Who to choose...read the book and find out.
