Ravenous was such fun. It was filled with heartbreak, fun, a meddling sister and bigger meddling mother. But, boy, can it get hot in the kitchen and Erin and Jesse didn’t need a pilot light on the stove to get any fire started.

Yes, it’s classic boy meets girl, boy leaves girl, boy comes home and girl tells him to go get bent. But, Erin is still attracted to Jesse and she has no idea what to do about what tore them apart in the first place. She’s trying to get her catering business off the ground and just does not need the distraction that Jesse is bringing to her life. Her sister, Karen knows what Erin went through when Jesse picked the big city over Erin. No, she doesn’t want to see her go through the pain again when he leaves but she knows that the fire is still burning brightly for both of them. She is determined to do whatever is needed to keep Erin from being burned again but also, she needs to get her to see the love that is shining so brightly from Jesse.

Yea, Jesse left to find fame and fortune with his own restaurant in Sydney. But, he never forgot Erin, never stopped loving her and always wondered if he made the right decision in not staying on the farm and having a life with her. Well, there’s nothing he could do about it now except get her to cater his Mother’s birthday bash and hope for the best. His libido would just have to deal with having her around since she didn’t want to have anything to do with her first love, the boy that took her virginity, the man that left her for a better life. But, was it really better?

I absolutely loved, loved, loved the back and forth between Erin and Jesse. When he tells her that he would like to reminisce with her, she answers “Sorry. My memory must be a bit fuzzier than yours. The most memorable experience I can come up with was when you first tried to pop my cherry, but came before you even got between my thighs.” This was just one of the many laugh-out-loud moments in the book along with a whole lot of loving.

Unfortunately, I have never read Eden Summers before. But, after reading Ravenous, I am definitely a fan and so looking forward to reading more from her. The story was fast and fun. The ending was unbelievable with Erin finally realizing that her dreams can come true in Sydney with Jesse and Karen maybe finding a little action of her own. And, of course, Jesse’s Mum was just thrilled with the outcome – her baby boy finally claimed the love of his life!

I dub Eden Summers the Queen of novellas. It's not easy to fit so much story, background, personality, passion and love in so few pages. Not only does Ms. Summers accomplish this, but she does so in spectacular fashion.

Erin McDonald is getting through each day by putting on a happy face and acting as if she is suffering from a broken heart. For the love of god, 8 years has gone by. Is it going to stop hurting when she thinks of Jesse and how he left her behind? Probably not, especially now that he's back in town for a visit. Her body and heart seems to have forgotten that he's bad news and leads to nothing, but pain.

Jesse Hackett has never regretted his decision to leave behind the country life for a successful career in the city. But, he's always been haunted by the loss of the love of his life. He's back in town for his mom's birthday and he wants nothing more than to rekindle the old flame. How to do that without breaking both of their hearts even more is the big question. He is only visiting and will be going back to his life in the city and he knows Erin would never follow him.

This book is not short on heat and passion, that's for sure. The witty banter between Erin and her sister made me laugh out loud in more than one spot. Eden really is very good at sarcastic humor, which just happens to be my first language. The love between Jesse and Erin was bittersweet, yet fun to read. I highly recommend this book and any other Eden Summers story. You won't be sorry!

Ravenous is the sweet, romantic story of Erin and Jesse. Young love can be a beautiful thing, but in their case, adulthood brought around some tough decisions. Erin thought their love would continue to thrive in their small home town of Holbrook, but Jesse wanted more - a better life and more opportunities. When Jesse left for Sydney, Erin remained behind, heartbroken. Eight years later, Jesse is back for a family party his mother is throwing, and Erin has been asked to do the catering. The sparks between them never faded despite the heartache, and staying away may be impossible once they get a taste of what they could have. But the obstacles that once separated them still remain.

Erin and Jesse were such a sweet couple, and I easily fell in love with them and empathized with them. I understood why neither of them wanted to give in even if it meant being able to be together. I definitely got the feeling that Jesse was more confident in himself and what he wanted, whereas Erin decided to stay behind more out of obligation and because it was comfortable and safe.

I loved the plot because it was engaging and it dealt with a believable, modern day relationship and the problems that some couples have to overcome. What is more important? Ones roots, familiarity, love or a career? What is worth the risk and what isn't? There were times I wanted to grab Erin by the shoulders and shake some sense into her, but her reactions and feelings were paced to the story, and the author did a great job of making her character go through the motions on her own. Jesse. What can I say about Jesse? Other than I want him in his chef's uniform, tied to my bed. He was HOT! Though I'm not sure why he waited eight years to try again, I think it was important for the story to have Jesse in a successful place in life, and it allowed Erin to come to terms with her own feelings or have others point out her stubbornness which eventually leads to my favorite part of the story which was the ending. So good!

If you want a feel good romance with a bit of sugar and a nice dose of spice, this novella is for you! Grab it, gobble it up, and it will leave you feeling satisfied. I've had two helpings already and there's room for more. (Okay, so I meant that I have read this twice).

Eden Summers is a master at making you fall in love with the amazing characters that she creates. Ravenous is a beautiful story about two people who found each other again. Erin McDonald never really got over Jesse Hackett. After leaving town eight years ago and taking her heart with him, Erin never thought Jesse would ever grace her doorstep again. Now, he's back in town for a little while for his mother's birthday and he is looking gorgeous! The last thing that Erin wants to do is give her heart away again to this man who was so quick to walk away from her years ago. Can Erin and Jesse be satisfied with just a couple of lustful nights together, before Jesse has to leave again? The answer is ALWAYS the same.....HELL NO!

"Please don't get any closer. Don't make me try and resist you. Not after what you've put me through."

I've got to tell ya, I wasn't a fan of Jesse Hackett at the beginning. He came off a little too arrogant for me. After continuing on I warmed up to him more and more and eventually, yeah you guessed it, fell a little in love with the beautiful man. Of course, it was a front at first, because he was nervous to see Erin again, but then when he was with her, you could feel how deeply in love he was with her, and how much he regretted leaving her behind years ago. I could also tell that he was a TOTAL momma's boy, and I LOVED that!

"She's still the beautiful soul you fell in love with as a teenager."

No man or vibrator could ever live up to Jesse Hackett in Erin's eyes. You NEVER forget your first love, no matter how many times he breaks your heart. Erin was a stubborn little thing in this story. I just wanted to shake her and tell her to LISTEN to Jesse! When she finally did, she discovered that she was to blame as well. When Jesse decided to leave the small town, Erin never thought to compromise. She was too afraid to leave her family behind. She was comfortable in her little town and she was afraid of venturing out in the world. On a side note, Erin's sister Karen was freakin' hilarious in this book. She was definitely the comedy relief in RAVENOUS and I kinda want her to have her own book, if you know what I mean....EDEN?! Whatdya say?

RAVENOUS by Eden Summers was a delight to read. This was a beautiful story full of heartbreak, compassion, and a ridiculous amount of sensual heat. As soon as I finished, I immediately wanted to read it again. I feel that way with all of Eden Summers books! RAVENOUS is just another GREAT example of why Eden is one of my favorite authors! Well done my friend!

"I want everything. I want you. I want us. I want a fucking future with you."

As part of my quest to read authors coming to the Australian Romance Writers conference this year, I stumbled upon this sensuous novella. Those of you who watch my Instagram would be aware that beyond reading and blogging, I like to cook and bake. The fact that this story has the heroine as a caterer and the hero as a top class chef made it shoot to the top of my list.

The story gets into action straight away, no musing or wondering. Erin lives in a small country town running a catering company with her sister, but nothing much is happening. That’s until her former boyfriend Jesse walks through the door. Years ago, he left her for the bright city lights. Now he wants her to cater for his mother’s birthday… Although things get off to a rocky start, it’s not long until Erin and Jesse are rediscovering each other. Will Jesse leave again, or can he convince Erin to leave the only home he’s known?

The romance starts to happen pretty quickly in this novella, and it’s quite steamy. I loved the big mix-up and the resolution – it was both funny and lovely to read. Summers is excellent at teasing out the narrative to make you wonder if Erin and Jesse will ever get it together! While the length of the story means a few details are lacking – such as the party was over pretty quickly –the characters are very well drawn. Both the main characters have their quirks and the minor characters (like Jesse’s mum and Erin’s sister) both get a good turn in the spotlight. The minor characters are detailed and memorable.

I’ll definitely be reading more by Eden Summers – both the humour and the romance make her books incredibly fun to read.

Thank you to Escape Publishing for the eGalley of this book.

To review or not review? This is a conundrum that a lot of reviewers face when deciding what to do with ARCs we didn't like. Do we give a bad review to a book we got for free or just abstain from reviewing altogether? As much as it pains me to review in these situations (I'm human! For realz!) I feel my first responsibility is to share my feelings honestly. So if I read the book and I have something to say, I will share it even if it's not pretty.

Ravenous' conflict was pretty ridiculous, considering that it could have been solved with one heartfelt conversation. We never get to know the details of their early break-up, all we know is that Jesse left for the big city and left Erin heartbroken. But 8 years later, their feelings are strong as ever so when they meet again, they cannot help but get together again.

This supposed love was baffling because they didn't seem to know squat about each other. Erin didn't seem to understand how important it was for Jesse NOT to live in the country or even his talent in the kitchen. Jesse for his part, didn't work too hard to get her back, even though he supposedly never forgot her. Her reasons for staying weren't fully explained and those that were, didn't seem to matter at all at the end. If a couple who claims to love each other deeply breaks up, there must be a big obstacle or I just won't believe it.

So I'm not sure I recommend this, unless you want something short and steamy and don't care too much for the plot.

This was a short little novella, and while entertaining, the characters were so stubborn or hurt that they stood in the way of their happiness to the point where I got disgusted with them!

The blurb explains the backstory between the 2 characters, but outside of that description, there is no other history provided, and I hadn't read the blurb before opening this story. The beginning immediately opens up with their reunion, and I was instantly confused as to what the bigger backstory was between them. I had a really hard time connecting with them and becoming invested one way or the other in what happened between them after that. By the time I was finally getting into it and learning about their shared histories, the story ended. The conflict was pretty ridiculous as well, especially since if Jessie and Erin had actually talked to one another, there wouldn't actually BE a conflict! Also since Jesse is a chef and Erin is a caterer, I thought that their careers would play into the story a little more, but they ended up being more of background details or outright crutches for the characters. The length of the story was a big issue for me and I felt that more description and details at the beginning of the book in particular would have been beneficial.

What a quick and steamy read!!

Erin likes living in her small town with her little catering business with her sister. Small town life suits her just fine. That is until he highschool sweetheart Jesse comes back in town. The flames that burned bright before he left her 8 years ago, spark back to life. Can she spend time with Jesse without getting her heart broken again?

This was a great novella. I loved every moment of it! It had everything you would want to find in a steamy read without feeling rushed. That's the problem with most novellas. They seem rushed and gloss over stuff, but not here. It was done perfectly! The chemistry between Erin and Jesse is undeniable! them to together could start a fire they are so hot.

Overall this is a great and smoking out read that shouldn't be missed by all romance lovers!

Was asked to do a cover reveal by the author and since I loved Eden Summers’ Hidden Attraction I thought why don’t I read and review this novella while I’m at it.

It was a very short read, took me about 2 hours tops and I must say for a novella this one sure did pack a punch. I found the characters extremely likeable, the chemistry and tension between the two was unremarkable. Seriously! My only regret was it ended too fast. I wanted more! Don’t worry, it doesn’t have a cliffhanger. It was just that good.

Hopefully the author will write a novella about the supporting characters, hopefully Karen where we get another glimpse into the Erin and Jesse’s life together.

If your looking for something short and sweet, this one is for you.

Ravenous is a romantic novella by Australian author Eden Summers. I haven’t read any of her previous novels but she appears to have quite a few titles out with good reviews from what I could see on Goodreads. Ravenous is her first title with Escape Publishing and as it is light and quick that I could read on my kindle, it was just what I was looking for.

Set in the small town of Holbrook in Australia, Erin McDonald works in partnership as a caterer with her sister Karen. Life is travelling along just fine until her teenage sweetheart Jesse Hackett strolls in one day after 8 years of no contact. He’d left her for the city life and become a Chef in Sydney. Adamant that she wouldn’t leave her sister or her home town, Erin watched Jesse walk away. But seeing him walk back into her life creates a sense of ambivalence. On the one hand her body reacts with their lingering attraction, but she’s still battling the anger and abandonment she felt when he left.

Jesse is cocky and a little bit arrogant. He arrives with a proposition. He wants Erin to cater for his mother’s birthday that weekend. But he gets a lot more than he bargained for when all he can think about is bedding her. His love for her hasn’t waned and he begins to wonder whether they could have a future together after all. Unable to fight their attraction and desires, Erin and Jesse share a few hot encounters but when it comes to the point where they have to discuss their future, Erin pushes Jesse away and lets him leave, again.

I quite liked the storyline and the conflict created in this saucy novella, but I just couldn’t connect with either of the leading characters. The sex scenes seem to overtake the emotional ties the two characters have and the explicitness of the scenes didn’t quite have the impact on me as a reader as they should. To be honest I didn’t really like Jesse. I thought he was quite selfish actually to turn up unannounced, make it known that he wanted to be intimate with her and then expect her to upheave her entire life to move to Sydney with him. I could understand why that would be one of the options for them to have a future together, but I felt like Erin was manipulated into believing everything was her fault. Jesse’s actions just didn’t sit right with me and I felt he was a little harsh when they separated. That being said, I did like how the author wrapped up their dilemma.

Overall Ravenous was a quick and easy read that for the most part I found enjoyable. I’d like to check out more stories by Eden Summers in the future.

This was it, the moment when her past would collide with the present--a place she didn't want to be.

Eight years ago Jesse moved away to Sydney to broaden his horizons and leave farming life behind. But that meant he also left his first love Erin behind in the small town of Holbrook. One day, he appears at her catering business and sparks fly. They circle around their unresolved feelings, intense attraction and lust. They are powerless against each other. But their problem has always been location...and stubbornness.

Jesse was her downfall, her Achilles heel and the reason for every single relationship failure since he left town, taking her broken heart with him.

I liked Erin. She was sassy and not afraid to say what was on her mind. She had been heart broken by his leaving and is terrified of getting hurt again. But finds Jesse is hard to resist. But she did drive me a bit crazy at times with her unwillingness to compromise.

He was obviously still attracted to her physically and emotionally. He had made a life for himself as a chef/restaurant owner but his life was still missing something...or someone. He was sexy, successful, and charismatic.

He hadn't moved on from Erin. Never would. But he couldn't look back either.

Together they are perfectly suited. they have scorching chemistry, a shared past and strong feelings. But they are both so stubborn and are still fighting over the same things.

"I want everything. I want you. I want us. I want a fucking future with you."~Jesse
"But you want it on your terms."~Erin

Can they find a compromise or will they just hurt each other all over again?

I loved her feisty sister Karen and his meddling mom. This couple needed help being pushed towards each other and they were fun and straight forward. I would love to see Karen get her own story.

This was a short novella, but it was a cute, sweet, sexy story. It was an engaging story of first love and second chances. I like Eden Summers writing style as it has humor and flows well. And I enjoyed getting both points of view from these head strong individuals. My biggest complaint is that it was so short so in turn was not as detailed as intense as it would be if it was a longer novel.

Thanks to Eden Summers, Netgalley, and Harlequin Enterprises Australia for providing me with a review copy in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted on release date of Aug. 1 at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

Another fun, sexy novella by Eden Summers! The title Ravenous definitely describes the main characters in this book. From the very first page it was clear that Jesse and Erin couldn't keep their hands off each other for long. Their previous relationship ended abruptly but never fizzled out and the chemistry was still there between them even years after they last saw each other. There's a lot of history between these two characters and they do rehash it but not in a way that would bore a reader or take attention away from the present situation between them.

Even with the unresolved issues and sexual tension between them, Jesse and Erin still had room to be funny, witty and entertaining. They both have a sarcastic sense of humor that appealed to me and made me like her. She was stubborn to a fault though. She was hurt by Jesse's leaving, blaming him for the failure of their young relationship yet she didn't acknowledge her own fault in the breakup. Erin could be unreasonable and selfish, wanting Jesse to give up his dreams and move back to their small town rather than try and find a middle ground. Up until the end I thought she wasn't going to be able to redeem herself but she did.

Jesse doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to Erin. He still wants her, in fact he wants her for more than just sex but he doesn't know how to convince Erin that they could make it work. Physically, they don't have a problem. It's hot and sexy between them even before they actually sleep together. It's everything else they have to work on.

There wasn't a lot of angst in Ravenous which works because angst and longing should be drawn out more and since Ravenous is a novella, it just wouldn't fit in and the ending would have felt rushed. Instead there was plenty of sexual tension and that made the story work.

I also enjoyed Erin's sister Karen. That woman has a sarcastic streak that's a mile wide and I loved how blunt she was. It would be great to see Karen get a story of her own.

Ravenous is quite the tasty sampler if you haven't read anything by Eden Summers before so pick up your copy now and enjoy!

Ravenous, by Eden Summers, is a delightful short piece. Erin and Jesse have a past, and while we never dive too far into it, it’s there, simmering in the background. Let’s pretend I didn’t just make an awful cooking pun, given that this book is about two chefs.

There are some interesting setup moments, and I was a little confused about whether or not these two would be able to work things out, and then Ms. Summers gives us moments like this:
”Why?” she whispered, her eyes drowning in emotion.

“Why?” he chuckled. “Because you make me burn.”

It’s a simple quote, a tense moment between them. There are some moments of heartbreak, too, like this one from Erin, during a conversation with Jesse:
”I want to spend more time with you before I leave.”

“Uh, huh.” She dropped her grip on his arm. Grasping the railing with one hand she blindly moved up to the next step, needing space to think. “Do you really think that would be a good idea?”

“Give me one good reason why it wouldn’t be.”

Because we can never be together. Because I’m still in love with you. Because I’m already certain I won’t move on once you leave.

In full disclosure, I should warn you that there are some cliche sex moments in this book. These crazy kids supposedly never engaged in oral sex for poor Erin (although there’s no note about Jesse), and then there’s talk of riding bareback -- an expression I haven’t heard anyone use in a long time.

However, I will say that this was just an enjoyable, easy read, and I can easily recommend it.

When Jesse left his small town for the city opportunities in Sydney, he also broke Erin's heart. Years later Jesse's back for a family party and the sparks are flying between Erin and Jesse, even though she wants to protect her heart. But there is still the same problem between them- Jesse won't stay in his small home town and Erin is happy with her simple country life.

This is a short and sweet story, with plenty of steamy scenes!
Honestly, I didn't love it, I didn't really connect with the characters or the story properly. You're plunged straight into the reunion between Erin and Jesse with no background on their relationship which meant that I was a bit disconnected from the beginning.
I liked both Erin and Jesse, and was hoping they'd resolve their differences and find a way to be together. For most of the story, neither are very willing to compromise. At first, I didn't like Jesse particularly, I thought he was being too uncompromising, but I definitely came to see his point of view. Once I understood how Jesse felt, I liked him a lot more!

I liked the ending and thought the HEA came together perfectly. I loved Eden Summers' writing style, and the sexy scenes were definitely fab- I'm looking forward to reading a full length book from this author!

Ravenous is a novella that I really enjoyed!! It is set in a little town, not far from where I grew up in country NSW, Australia. I have been to the town numerous times, and have visited the places mentioned in the book. I think that because I had that personal experience, it really helped me connect with the book.

The characters in this story are easy to connect with as well. Erin is a country girl who lost her first love when he decided to move to Sydney, to broaden his horizons. She has created her own business and is content with her life. Jesse wanted to build a new life, but Erin didn't want to re-locate, so he put all his focus into succeeding. When these two reunite the sparks are still there, but the stubbornness and determination are too.

I loved watching the tension between these two. They know they still have feelings for one another, but find it so hard to back down or concede. The sexual tension is definitely off the charts as their chemistry is stronger than ever. Although it is a short read, I was able to understand the characters and their reservations easily and I wanted them to find their happily ever after! Eden has again delivered another sizzling story that any country girl can relate to!

Ravenous by Eden Summers
Jesse left eight years ago the big city, deciding the small farming life wasn’t for him. He left Erin behind. Now he’d returned to Holbrook for his mother’s birthday and Erin was to cater the party.
Three days of nothing but Jesse. For Erin, Jesse had been her heart and soul, but when they turned 18, he decided he wanted work in Sydney. She wanted to stay in Holbrook. He broke her heart, or so she though.
She sees him now and her heart beats in turn with his. In eight years, she should have healed.
Jesse wanted to tell Erin that she had never left his heart or his mind. But that still left the reality: Erin’s life is in Holbrook; Jesse’s in Sydney. Is there a way for true love to break through the harsh reality of long distance and the unwillingness of either to move?
Eden Summers has the unique ability to create characters that speak to the heart and soul. The reader becomes vested in the lives of these people and begins to truly care about the outcome. Many may remember the heartbreak of leaving someone behind to pursue a dream job and always wondering what might have been. Ravenous brings the heartache and longing clearly to the forefront; combined with the trademark passion and eroticism that only Summers can create and Ravenous is a book that those hungry for love and a dreamy happily ever after must immediately consume.

Eden Summers did it again! She wrote another super spicy book that is amazing. Again she just blew me away.

Erin was a talented chef still reeling over Jesse leaving her to pursue his big city dreams. She never really got over him and when he left she was very angry. She also lost her friendship with his mother. After seeing him years later she realizes she still loves him and is afraid he will break her heart again. Finally she gives in to the chemistry and damn fireworks happened! Lol I liked Erin but I was a little mad at her for being so selfish. I got over it after she put her heart on the line. Swallowing pride and admitting mistakes will get my every time!

Jesse was charming and sweet. Plus he put up with a lot for love, which in my opinion endeared him to me even more. I loved that he made her show him how she felt because she wouldn't even listen to his point of view.

I will admit to yelling at both the hero and heroine but I cheered for them every step of the way. Erin had her moments but so do every heroine out there. Her sister was down right hilarious and in need of her story being told ..hint hint! Lol I loved the ending. I thought it was so romantic. The sex was beautifully written and explosive! Anyone who likes a steamy read should pick this up!

Awhile ago I bought this author's book Shot of Sin and like the other frighteningly high number of unread books on my kindle, it sat there until just a few weeks ago, I decided to read it. Well, my first thought was, what on earth took me so long to get to it and someone pass me the ice, I'm overheating.
That made me go immediately to Amazon to purchase more books by the author and this was one of them. It only took me a day to read which is good for me given I have little reading time. I loved it. Jesse is, well, how do I describe this gorgeous, sexy man who can cook? Damn, can he be made real so he can come live with me? I swear he made me ravenous and not for food.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this. I think the characters were all very likeable, although Erin tested my patience for a short time until she finally 'saw the light'. When she finally realised the only thing keeping them apart was her. I thought Erin's sister was a classic too. Loved her.
The sex was well written as per usual for this author and I'm sure my poor middle aged heart was tested to its limits when it was racing and I was shakily trying to feed ice cubes into my bra. If you like a quick, sexy, romantic read, then I highly recommend Ravenous.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

After recently finishing Blind Attraction and loving it, I was really exciting to have a chance to review this novella by the same author. Unfortunately, this story really just didn't do it for me.

The blurb explains the backstory between the 2 characters, but outside of that description, there is no other history provided. The first chapter opens up with the reader being thrust into their reunion within the first 2 pages, and without a prologue or a prior chapter to give me a reason to be invested in their story, I had a really hard time connecting with them and becoming invested one way or the other in what happened between them. By the time I was getting into it, the story ended. Also since he is a chef and she is a caterer, I thought that it would play into the story a little more- but that was not the case. The length of the story was really the issue for me and I felt that more description at the beginning of the book in particular would have been beneficial.

Overall a 2.5 to 3 star read for me

Do you remember your High School love? Erin McDonald sure does. Jesse Hacket left her and their small town 8 years ago and never looked back. She has done good getting on with her life though. And now she has a successful catering business that she owns with her sister. Life is good. That is until Jesse walks into her small business wanting to hire her to cater a party his mother is throwing.

Jesse never forgot Erin but what are you supposed to do when your dreams of success can’t be fulfilled in the small town you grew up in. He felt he had no choice but to leave for the big city just after graduating high school. Now he is back home for a visit to his family and wants to start things up with Erin again. But he still has to go back to his life in the city.

Sparks definitely fly between these two. This is a great shorter read you can probably finish it in a few hours without distractions (never works for me, I have a teenager at home). I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again. I love Eden Summers.

A cute little second chance romance. At 16, Erin and Jesse fell in love, but by the end of high school, Jesse was packing up his life, his love and Erin’s heart and moving five hours away to Sydney. Fast forward eight years and both are cooks…Erin a small town caterer and Jesse a hugely successful chef and restaurateur. Jesse can no longer deny that Erin is the only woman that ever set him on fire. And, Erin never tried to lie to herself about the fact that Jesse owned her heart, even when she tried to give her body once or twice.

I loved their chemistry and the connection to each other’s families. The fact that they were together as teens really means that their relationship and love was in the context of living at home and family present. While Karen (Erin’s sister) and Jesse’s mom worked hard to get these two together, it was a leap of faith that had both getting real and laying out their hopes and dreams. Enjoy.

As an aside, I don’t know how the publisher plans to package this story, but if it is in an anthology…I would love to read it!

¡He dicho!

This book is a short, fast read.

Erin is still heartbroken over the way Jesse left her. She is finally trying to move on. She has even started her own catering business. She gets offered a job catering Jesse's mom’s birthday event. Can she see him without bringing out the feelings she still has?

Jesse is a well-known chef that owns his own restaurant. He doesn't regret moving away and making a name for himself, but he does regret not bringing Erin with him. So when he gets the chance to see her at his moms can he convince her that he still loves her? Will he leave the city or convince her to come to the city with him?

This book is good. If you are looking for a fast steamy read this book is what you are looking for. There is a little bit of angst in this book, but too bad. I needed a little more angst and for everything to not happen so fast. I would recommend this book to read.

Enjoyable short romp with two old sweethearts that parted ways in a painful way once upon a time. The pain and distance hasn't lessened their love for each other, and when he returns home for a few day the sparks fly again.

Will they have a 'last' romp and part ways? Or, will they figure out a way to make things work.

The spark and heat between the MC's was intense, and Eden can certainly craft a scene to singe your eyebrows. (I just have to say - the scene behind the barn is still my favorite...) Both characters made mistakes but have trouble owning up to them, and getting past them. The tension kept me racing to get through and see the resolution.

There was only one thing that kept me from giving it four stars, but I can't say what it is without revealing the ending (however I did tell Eden when I read this pre-release). :)

Full Review posted on Book Lovin' Mamas

Eden Summers knows how to write some steamy, sexy books. This was yet another scorcher, but this time it was a quick read that makes me want more.

With that being said, I highly recommend reading this book before the summer ends because it is a perfect book for a day at the beach or a day out anywhere you can relax without anyone bugging you. Thank goodness, I was able to finish it without any interruptions.

I give this book 4 full moons and recommend it to readers who read contemporary romance and love books that are short and steamy.

Sometimes it takes a few years (8 to be exact) to come back and fight for the one you love. Jesse he's a cocky one, "I hope you change your mind about the party. My parents house brings back great memories. It'd sure be nice to reminiscence with you." He's also persistent, "now's as good as a time as any. You keep running away from me and I'm not letting you go again." He's also into the girl he never forgot, Erin, "don't tempt me. I've got a lot less shame than you do and I rarely see these people anymore." His mouth closed in, hovering a breath away from hers. "And you've got me so effing hard I don't care who watches." HOT!

Ravenous is a sweet, sexy novella about first love, love lost and love found.

8 years ago Jesse left his home town for bigger and better things, leaving Erin behind.

Will time and distance make their love die, or were they meant to be.

This is a quick read that is a great way to fill in an hour or so.

I did enjoy the local references, having been to the places Eden Summers is writing about, and I feel that it gave me a bit more enjoyment, being able to picture the places.

I look forward to reading more of Eden Summer's work

This being my first book by Eden Summers, I didn't know her writing style or have any books to compare to while reading. I was introduced to Ms. Summer's books by a friend and I have quite the list of her books I do want to read. Anyhow, this love story is based on a second chance for high school sweethearts. The story is short and sweet but it's filled with hot passion, heartbreak and sizzling heat. After 8 years of heartbreak and longing, would you take a chance on the one that's always held your heart?

This story is about high school sweethearts who went their separate ways. Jesse left his hometown and became a chef in Sydney. Erin stayed home and nursed her broken heart. She started a catering business with her sister and life has been pretty good. Neither of these people ever stopped loving each other and this story is their journey back. It was a very short read but it never really hooked me. Good love scenes though.
