James, James, James....hmmmm....well, it was pretty darn good.
I have only a few grumbles here and there....but, we'll get to those.
Basically, as you all know, this is James and Sasha's tale of woe. Young lovers who come back together and get a second chance.
This is one of those were a ridiculous amount of miss communication allows several things to go unsaid and undone. Feelings get hurt, words get crossed, or never said it all. You know, one were when you really think about REALLY irritates you?
But, things get cleared up FAIRLY early on some things. Of course there are a couple "surprises" toward the end but the story does wrap up nice and pretty like the previous ones.
So whats the grumbling about? Well, as most of you know, when you have a good, strong, hot, sexy, dangerous Alpha, what good is he if there isn't some trouble a brewing? I mean, I want some danger people! I don't care if Sasha just needs to trip and fall and get a bloody scrape, that friggin Alpha better swoop in and apply the Neosporin. I mean, he even has a dangerous, hot profession? I could have so seen this played out differently. Like, do to his profession he gets called in only to find that *gasp* Sasha got mixed up with a powerful dangerous man and is being abused and now it's his job to save her and keep her safe! Okay, so, that's been done a million times, but does it ever get less hot? Didn't think so.
So anyway, obviously, I loved the book, I just hate feeling like something is missing. That's how I felt about it, like it just needed SOMETHING. Some umph in a category that didn't have to do with yet another catty female or run in with old lovers. Also, I felt that Sasha and James both never came to realize they were both to blame for ALL their previous miss communication, instead I felt like they just both agreed to disagree....that bothered me as well as they both used it quite frequently to throw in eachother's faces when it really made them look like a hypocrite each time they did.
Any who-who! Loved it, recommend it, great series as per usual writing was excellent! Great authors, great series!
