Third in the Codename: Chandler horror action suspense series revolving around the remaining three septuplets and their rush to save the world.

I received this as a story ARC from the publisher.

My Take
Jesus, Konrath and Peterson have the most horrific imaginations! Their characters are nightmares! If you like reading about psychopaths and total brutality, this one's for you. And yeah, it is a great non-stop, roller coaster, action ride of a story—you'll just need a strong stoma/>My

Reading Level: Adult—explicit sex scenes, sexual language
Recommended for: Those who like their books fast-paced and high-octane and don't care much for little silly details

Trigger Warnings: child abuse, incest, murder, carjacking, tasteless handicap jokes (made by a disabled woman)
Animal Abuse: a dog is hit with a gun and then shot (he survives); the president repeatedly threatens his wife's cat; a rattlesnake is stomped

Genetically created to be the ultimate assassin Chandler now finds herself on the run from the very government she wants to preserve.

The new president has delusions of world domination and he doesn't care how many innocents die in his plot. Coming up against a team with the same training, Chandler will have to put faith in people she's sworn to kill, make impossible decisions and lose what she holds most dear. The tension is high. Life as we know it is on the line and Chandler with her sisters

Three is the best so far in the Chandler series. It starts off right where Spree ended. While Spree was an all out action packed running for your life from one scene to the next this was more methodical and had more story.

I really don't want to give anything away that happened in this or the two previous books. This had a little bit of everything. Action, gore, sex, evilness, heroes. It had so much. Chandler finds herself in another situation where she has to make tough decisions. For her thoug

I'm copying the same review into both book #2 and #3, as they are really one long story.

The first book was an exciting thriller pitting our heroine against a large and hidden opponent. The book ends after Chandler saves the world.

Books #2 and #3 are a non-stop roller-coaster ride as Chandler and her teammates try to figure out how and why the events from the first book happened, why do so many people want to kill them, and what are the bad guys going to do next.

the final installment of the series is quite a bit different than what we have become accustomed to. the sisters are now fighting to save the world. quite literally throughout most of the chapters you get Blow by blow fights. I love a good action thing and I don't mind an action book, if it makes sense. The author spend so much time giving us all the technical names that let's face it none of us know you spend so much time trying to Envision what these moves are that you get lost. they use 30 di ...more

Just when you think things cannot get more insane, well, I'm proven wrong. I don't actually think this will be the last Chandler book, not with the way this ended, but it is definitely another wild and crazy ride.

To save her friends and sister, Chandler kills the president and is filmed doing it. The Instructor has betrayed them all, and plans to blackmail them into continuing to do what he wants when he wants. Chandler and Fleming now find themselves with an unlikely and unwelcome ally, Hammet

Kick ass

Even though the Instructor went out with barely a whimper,
these Hydra girls are the most kick pass characters I have ever
come across. Five stars, off the charts, best of the series hands
A thrilling read that will not let you go until the last page.

This is a satisfying conclusion (or is it?) to the Codename: Chandler trilogy. I’m questioning the conclusion part because I wonder whether there will be a fourth installment. There have been rumors, and the ending suggests it. I don’t know anything for sure, so I’ll continue with my review of THREE. The story picks up right where SPREE left off. Chandler is really burning the candle at both ends, and she’s facing her most difficult mission yet. After he

Three by J.A. Konrath and Ann Voss Peterson is the third book in the Codename: Chandler series. As such, it carries on the action about a week after the events of the previous novel, Spree.

In this instalment, the three remaining sisters, Chandler, Fleming and Hammett must work together to avoid being captured or killed by government agents, avoid assassins sent by The Instructor, avoid killing each other, and depose a power mad President, set on controlling the world at any cost! ...more

Just wanted to see how the series played out.
And this is on a level with the second book of the series Spree, maybe a little better.
Again a few nice sex-scenes (just as a warning for those who shy away from that), but not too graphic or long.
In a contrast to the first book Flee, this one has chapters, some too short and due to the pov-swapping at each chapter, too much. And I think it is too long, but than it is not all action, there are times where the he

The third book in a trilogy has Chandler not only running for her life, but also, with the help of her sisters trying to stop a madman from spreading a virus to control the world.

As with the previous novels, this one is filled with action, violence, killing, sex and some real fun interaction between the characters. There is so much going on, but it is easy to follow. Not only do they bring back characters from other books the authors have written, but have also introduced new ones (with b

"I'd faced greater odds in the past few days and been incredibly lucky in the outcome. But there came a time when luck ran out."

Codename Chandler has balls of steel. This is the most action packed book in this brilliant series by the wonderfully cheeky J.A. Konrath and Ann Voss Peterson. It's got it all: dangerous gunfights, blood and guts, hot sex scenes and of course, Harry McGlade. Basically enough to turn your stomach and have you in stitches at the same time.

I loved the character devel

Buckel up for this one it was an incredible ride! I absolutely loved this book, much better than Flee. The only thing is the authors explain that you don't have to read the first 3 books to follow this one but you definetly should or you will be doing yourself a disservice. I love all the characters and the action. I've decided to add a "Chandler" style workout to my fitness regime cause you never know when you're going to find yourself in a gun battle sans clothes. A girl has to be prepared fo ...more

It was OK. Still pretty far-fetched, but also kinda disjointed, which is guess is the mix of the writing styles. I didn't quite notice it in the first couple.

Chandler went from super tough super spy to a sniveling female. WTF happened to her? I get that it's fiction, but are we really expected to believe that these women can survive all the shit that happens to them? At one point, I swear it said a character was shot in both legs, but was able to not only swim across Lake Ontario but

I love Mr Konrath and this one is no exception! I haven't read any of the Chandler series before this one, and even tho they are standalone books, in the beginning I was lost with the characters. After I got into it, I cannot wait to go back and read the others! I love the Jack Daniels series, and now I can add this one. Even tho the 3 sisters are assassins, Mr Konrath's writing puts you pulling for them to save the world! I can't wait for another one. I like how the author can link his series t ...more

The best one in series of three. Definitely a page turner. Gets confusing with up to 10 plots going on at the same time, broken into many chapters. Too many sexy scenes for a crime thriller, repetition didn't help the plot move along. Very long at 500 pages. Ending leaves something to be desired.

This book is longer than the other two and a bit better as a story and a read.

I found some of the writing a bit formulaic when the threads spit out but it was mostly an interesting read. I still don't like that every major character is always injured in some way, not that realistic.

Hero's? Killers? Yep.

Load of action blood and Gore. Chandler, Fleming and Hammet beaten bloody and leaving a string a bodies behind again and again. Couldn't happen but entertaining. Plus a lot of sex.

Yes. Without a doubt. This is the best Codename: Chandler novel in the series. All the ingredients are there. Sex, violence, gore, humour, redemption and a satisfying ending.

Great story. The ending made me made but hey what can you do?
This was a very exciting ending (or was it?) to a fast-paced, action-filled page-turner series. Lots of really evil, violent people, but great heroes. I'm glad I read them.
