Detailed, really too detailed for my needs, but I am the kind of compulsive writer who will read 500 pages of historical detail to get one of my fictional details right. If you want to know who was the first governor, silver smith or hog farmer in Kentucky, this is the book for you.

A bit dated with politically incorrect language like calling the Shawnee et. al. “savages,” but a classic book.
