Nikki arrives in Vegas with Ethan and Duncan to search for her family. She soon finds out that not everything is as it seems...and isn't sure of who she can trust anymore, as things begin to unfold.
Meanwhile, Celeste takes advantage of the nightlife in Sin City, while joining forces with a new group of immortals, who will stop at nothing to get their hands on Nikki.

Yeah... So this was awful. I finished it tough, because I'm an idiot... So if you have to have sex to create a vampire, did Caleb have sex with his daughter? My brain can't handle that amount of disgustingness... Ick.
As I always thought. A writer can make us love a person or hate. Because before reading part 3 I thought I was madly in love with Ethan bt after reading this book I only have full hatred for him. As a writer of paranormal story Kristen has showed her capability in this book series.
one of the worst books I've ever read in my entire life. massive disappointment. complete waste of time and money ( and it was less than $4 and finished in a day).
I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st two books in the series and was very excited to read the 3rd. I don't know who wrote this "book", but it felt like a completely different author. what started out as a cute coming of age vampire romance series turns into a Lycan murder mystery. I can't even wrap my head around how we got there... or why.
There are more "plot twists" than I could keep track of. Everything is a lie, no one can be trusted. she introduces a whole bunch of meaningless new main characters and wastes chapters following them around just to kill them off uneventfully. the romance was trite and poorly written, completely boring. and practically everyone dies, at least once. sometimes twice.
every single character is painted as wishy washy, unreliable, gullible.
all of a sudden there is a serial killer and police. there is nothing realistic about the crime scenes.
the "action" scenes are also all over the place, not very descriptive, not very exciting, very predictable.
One of my biggest issues was the overuse of the word "obviously". that word appears 73 times in the 270 pages. that doesn't include " it was obvious " or "of course". USE A THESAURUS!
I just... I'm so annoyed by this book and I'm quite concerned that the author went crazy or started taking drugs or something.
It did, at least, show some of the true colors of bad characters from previous books that were so obvious it makes you wonder how the other characters didn't see their betrayals from a mile off. The plot development could definitely use some work, though. It feels like the author wrote a ton of plot devices on slips of paper to draw out of a hat at random, then just gave up and threw them all in the air. The story got very convoluted mixing genres...
I enjoyed this 3rd installment in this series and the plot as they say has thickened with the introduction of lycans. The characters continue to develop and Ethan is a mystery that keeps you guessing about his real intentions. There are a number of grammatical errors throughout this series so it will never get a full 5 stars in my book, the actual story wavers between 3 and 3.5 for me.
Nikki finally has realized who is with her and who is telling the truth. I'm on team Duncan since the beginning. Fun Read and can't wait to end this cliffhanger series. Book four is the conclusion of this series and finding out who the real bad guys are.
Even though there is some grammatical errors in the series, I am not ready for it to end. It gets a bit confusing sometimes but, in the end, she clarifies some things.
"Vengeance (Night Roamers, #3)" by Kristen Middleton is a disappointing read. The plot lacks depth and the characters are one-dimensional. The story feels rushed, leaving little room for emotional connection or development. The writing style is uninspiring, with frequent grammatical errors. It fails to live up to the potential of the series, leaving readers unsatisfied and frustrated. Overall, it's a regrettable addition to the Night Roamers series, and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a captivating and well-written vampire tale.
After thoroughly enjoying books one and two in the Night Roamers series I cannot begin to express how disappointed I was in "Vengeance."
First and foremost, the first 45% of the book was a boring mish mash of unevently scenes that felt like 'filler.' There were characters introduced that were later disposed of leaving me asking why were they introduced in the first place. Then, when the action started to occur there was a disturbing scene of abuse that I found to be over the top. Why does Ms. Middleton insist on having her female characters abused?
There were many twists, turns and betrayals in this book. I would like to tell you that they were exciting, interesting and surprising; but, quite frankly they were not. Normally, I would have finish this book in a few hours but it took me two days because I struggled with so much of the content.
In the end, I will say that every series has a book that is your least favorite and book three is that book for me. My greatest hope is that book four will put the series back on track and restore my faith. For those of you who are fans, read "Vengeance " for yourself and decide his you feel. I for one was surprised at the many four star reviews.
This book just confused me. I was loving the beginning and then it totally changed. It's like a different author came and started writing. Things didn't add up to how they were before. Nathan, Nikki's brother knew about vampires but then all of a sudden in this book he didn't.
Ethan, Duncan and Nikki set out to find Nathan, Caleb and Anne (Nikki's mom) in Vegas since apparently Caleb and her went to elope. Caleb and Anne told Nathan that Nikki and Ethan came to Vegas to elope which made no sense. And totally changes things. Even if they were lying.. it doesn't make sense why Anne would lie to her own son about Nikki.
I don't know. I just did not enjoy it. I forced myself to read it. It turned into a murder novel at one point since Celeste was killing a lot of people and a cop came into play. I don't know if I want to read the next one. If it was free I would.. But if I have to pay.. then hell no. No matter how delicious the cover looks! Ha!
Wow!! I couldn't believe how some of the characters I thought I knew had totally showed their true colors in Vengeance! The series is a complete mind blower! The only thing I got confused a bit on was when Nathan or Anne had forgotten all abut believing in Nikki's vampire ordeal. I knew there were times when other vamps had messed with their minds, so I understood then but there seemed to be times when they just didn't know what they already willingly accepted, and this was without being influenced by a vampires charm. IDK, maybe I just got lost a bit :) I liked the new characters, not the Lycans, accept for Maximus. I wanted to see more development with his character and Rena. I guess things happened the way they did in order for the author to bring out a certain character's real intentions. That being said, I love this series and will begin Illusion's tonight!
Vengeance is the third book in the Night Roamers series. Nikki and the entire crew is in Las Vegas with Ethan and Duncan. They’re searching for her family. While there they run into other types of supernatural creatures such as werewolves. It seems Las Vegas is melting pot for them. In this segment allies become enemies and vice-versa. It becomes difficult to trust anyone. Lots of twists! The story is fast-paced action which I really love. There is enough setting to put the reader in there but not enough to distract from the pace or bore the reader. This series is a whole lotta fun and I’m liking the narrator better. She did well with this book. So either I’m getting used to her or her skills increased with each book. Looking forward to getting into the last book in the series.
I had been pretty obsessed with this book for months and was constantly refreshing my amazon search to see if Vengeance had been released. This was a good read, but something was missing for me in the 1/3rd. It was probably the introduction of the lycans that had me initially weary and my expectations were dubious at best. By the 2/3rd, I was all in and enjoying the read quite a bit. Lots of twists and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this series would not end in a trilogy.
I enjoyed this book but It was so hard to figure out who the bad guys were. Even at the end I still don't know who is real out to be good. I was glad to see Duncan show how strong and good he really is. I hope in the next book Nikki can realize the only people she can trust are her brother and Duncan. I can say that I hope I know when the next book comes out because i will get it right away.
Excellent book! If you were a fan of the first 2 books, you are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as I was reading it. The author's writing style and development of characters, make you care what happens to them.
I would recommend this book series to all my friends. I can not wait until the book.....
More twists and turns in this book than I knew what to do with lol, this was more indepth and was intriguing. I really enjoyed the 3rd installment even though in sometimes it left me rather confused in places jumping from one side to the other but it had me on my toes trying to decipher who was good or bad or just out for themselves. This 3rd book is well written and has much more detail.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The banter and dishonesty throughout it, made it very entertaining. I never trusted any of the vampires besides Duncan of course, so I am glad to see that Nikki has finally found her common sense. I definitely did not see the turn of events that unfolded and have a feeling the next book will be one heck of a bumpy ride. Very good book!
I almost feel like too much was happening in this book. It starts off with multiple point-of-views and Waaay too much betrayal...to the point where you don't know what to believe..even at the end of the book. I'm not sure if I will bother with book 4 in Feb 2014.
Thrills and chills! It totally ends on a cliff-hanger, so now we have to wait patiently! Or...at least mostly patiently ;) The story wasn't quite how I envisioned it turning out, because there were some massive surprises and unexpected turns. It's definitely a page-turner.
Too bad. Good first two books. This one was all fighting and killing and everyone was a vampire or lycan so it wasn't very interesting to me. Not terrible, but i didn't enjoy it enough to want to keep reading the series.
I started reading the first book, had to get the second. So on and so on. Going to look for part four. BEST series I've read in a good while. Can't put them down.
The book started off slow but once it picked up momentum I lost myself in the storyline and enjoyed it. Happy to see that Nikki finally had her eyes opened when it came to Ethan. Can't wait to read the next one.
This book was good and I don't want to spoil the read for anyone else. I will say that it only earned three stars from me because I am unhappy about the twist in the story.
