Mom always made the decisions for Go to college, get a good job in the city, find a nice man in a suit.
Instead, I’ve lost my job and I’ve lost my apartment. I’m single, I still have my v-card, and I’m wildly attracted to the bearded, tattooed biker who rescued me and my broken-down Caddy.

I don’t do relationships. I have my MC club, my vintage bike collection, and my oversized dog. Women are trouble and best left alone.
But when I see Danni, stranded on the side of my mountain and looking like a pin-up straight out of the fifties, I can’t resist. It’s been a long time since I let a woman on the back of my bike. But Danni is one curvy exception.
She’s spent too long pleasing others, and now it’s my duty to please her.

It's not horrible
I've read plenty of short "boom" stories so I wanted to read something from a different author. This was the first one from this writer and there was no prejudice.
When starting a new book, I always read the reviews and start with the lowest rated ones. I should've taken heed.
The characters are caricatures or approximations of people. The h has no redeemable qualities other then not being objectionable. The only reason the H has for taking notice of her is she's pretty and has the body of a 50's pinup girl.
She's made really stupid decisions, ie: leaving a good job, for low payout. Losing her apartment, losing her cat, buying a vintage rust bucket without having it inspected. W/o a job, how was she expecting to pay for it for the next 5 years, after using her last 2 months salary as downpayment?
Then attempting to slow crawl up a mountain in a car that's been giving her signals that it's dying. And renting a cabin, sight unseen, for 80% discount. Who does that. For thinking people that screams warning signs.
She bemoans her controlling mother, then does everything her mother was protecting her from, namely herself.
Only reason for this story is to write the sex scenes. Which I mostly skipped, very forced and a bit creapy, given they only met hours previously. H states he doesn't do relationships but she's ok with sexual contract, even though she's a Virgin.
I skimmed through the whole book in about and hour. Even the ending suspends belief. But, hey, it's a hea.

Danni (h23) has a love of vintage clothes and cars, the latter of which sees her broken down on a mountain road. Colter (H@35) and his dog, Daisy, come upon Danni and he instantly finds himself drawn to the young woman, despite his no relationships rule. He takes Danni back to his cabin and Danni finds herself drawn to the older tattooed biker. Colter encourages Danni to think about what she wants out of life and who she’s living her life for. Sweet age gap, MC lite romantic quickie with plenty of heat.

This is on the sweet side for a MC book. It was a good read, but not gritty like you expect from your typical motorcycle book. I also expected the mother to be a little more prominent. Sweet lunch read

Wild Ride is the first book in the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider’s MC series by Sadie King. I don’t know what made me add this book to my kindle unlimited library, but there was something that told me, you’re going to want to read this one. And I’m so glad I took the chance on this new-to-me author and listened to my inner reader! Though this novel is on the short side (83 pages) I loved every word! I can’t wait to dive into more books in this series!

Wild Ride is a standalone short romance novella told in the views of Danni, a single woman who craves independence and freedom from the controlling life her mother wants from her. And Colton, an ex-military mountain man, living his best life with his pup and a no strings attached lifestyle.
Danni is on her way into the mountains on a relaxation retreat to clear her head, when her car stalls on her, stranding her in the middle of nowhere. That is, until Colton shows up on his motorcycle with his pup riding behind him. A guy who straps his pup to a motorcycle, can’t be a bad man, right?
My Thoughts:
My first thoughts after closing my Kindle was, I want more, but in some sort of way, I feel like Danni and Colton’s short story wrapped up effortlessly! I couldn’t get enough of these two! Sadie King definitely has me rethinking my love/hate relationship with short stories/novellas.
I loved Colton and his need to show Danni there is more to her than what her mother wants from her. I loved how he showed her, it’s okay to have dreams, to reach for dreams, and to achieve dreams. This man had my heart in a vice grip throughout this novel.
Danni’s character tugged at my heartstrings. She wanted nothing more than to please her mother, and follow the footsteps that her mother had traced for her. But then the excitement came when she came to the realization that this is her life, not her mothers. The world won’t end if she follows a different path. Watching her find her independence through Colton had me connecting with her character so much!
The reason behind why I gave this novel a 4 star rating, I wanted a flashback scene of Colton and his heartbreak moment. It was talked about, but I felt like this was a pivotal part of the story and detailing the scene would have had me connecting with his character so much more.
Overall, I loved Wild Ride by Sadie King, I loved the romance, the friendship that quickly developed between Colton and Danni, and I loved the spicy nature! If you’re looking for a spicy age gap romance with a virgin heroine and a sexy as sin ex-military mountain man, don’t hesitate to go to amazon and pick up this novel. I can’t wait to continue with this series!

Sadie King is the queen (yeah, a poor joke, but I couldn't help myself) of short romance read with insta love/lust age gap, protective mountain man MMC, virgin FMC and a bunch of spice. And that's exactly what we get here. I loved how effortlessly the author made the insta love/lust trope work. IT actually made sense, as the main characters had their love for vintage aesthetic in common and it felt like they made sense together.
And let's not forget about the cute doggo!

2 large adults and a mastiff on a motorbike?!?! BULLSHIT!
He was riding a motorcycle with a mastiff on the back? Really, that's what we are going with.
You lost me at the "oh that tickles," he says after getting licked on the neck by the dog.
**You're telling me a rough and tumble biker says oh that tickles! Uggggghh
Then he reverses said motorcycle...reverses?? I didn't realize they had reverse.

Short, sweet and sexy book. I liked the bravery that Danni showed to start her own life and go for what made her happy. Colter is great and the short interactions between him and the other club members make me want to read their stories too. This is a quick read and a good one.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Colter mets Danni when she's stranded on the side of the road in her 1956 Series 62 Coupé de Vill that breaks down. Danni is headed on vacation after not only losing her job but her apartment. Danni has always done what her mother wanted her to do, she went to college getting a job at a financial company but when they offered her a buy out she took it. Colter is a mechanic with his Wild Riders MC, he just doesn't tells Danni he works on vintage bikes. When a storm is about to come in Colter doesn't want to leave Danni stranded so he takes her to her vacation cottage. They both hop on the back on Colter bike along with his dog Daisy. When they arrive they find it unlivable so Colter takes her to his cabin. Danni finds out that Colter isn't married and doesn't have a girlfriend, he tells her he doesn't do relationships. Colter asks Danni if she has a boyfriend and she tells her only her mom who has her whole life planned out for her. As Colter makes them dinner Danni tells him about how she wanted to get away from her life and her mom. Colter suggest to Danni that for the weekend she do exactly what she wants to do, without trying to please anyone else. Danni isn't sure how to do that so Colter tells her he'll help her out. Colter tells her anything she wants to do, they'll do it, if she asks him for anything he'll give it to her. Danni stays in Colter's guest bedroom and when she wakes the next morning he's already making breakfast for her. When Colter asks her how she wants her eggs she tells him however he wants them. Colter tells Danni that's not how this weekend works, it's what she wants. Danni never thought about how she'd like her eggs, her mother always make her eat them poaches. So after Danni thinks about it she tells Colter she'd like them fried. After they finish breakfast Colter wants to know what she wants to do for the day. When she tells him she promised her mom she'd send her a postcard, Colter asks her what she wants to do not what her mom wants her to do. Danni thinks about it for a while then she tells Colter she wants to go hiking but she doesn't want to see people around. Colter knows the perfect trail to take Danni too, when they get to the rocky pool that rest. Danni tells Colter she wished she could jump in and cool off, he asks her why she can't. Danni tells him she didn't bring a swimsuit, Colter tell her she doesn't need one. Soon Colter is stripping out of his clothes and jumping in. Colter turns around so that Danni can strip and soon her hears her clothes coming off and her jumping in. As they begin to talk, Colter notices Danni licking her lips and looking at him. Colter asks her what does she want, he tells her whatever she wants he'll give it to her. Danni tells him she wants to kiss him, Colter tells her as she wishes. Colter pulls her in and kisses her, not just an ordinary kiss, he kisses her deep. When they come up for air Colter can tells she wants more so he asks her what does she want. Danni tells him she wants him to touch her, so Colter touches her neck, then her shoulder, then her breast. Danni can get the words out of where she wants him to touch her. Colter asks Danni if there is someplace else she wants to be touch and she tells him yes. Danni finally gets the words out of where she wants to be touch, soon Colter is pleasures her. Then Danni tells Colter she wants him to kiss her down there, but he makes her say the exact words she wants. Colter lifts her out of the water sitting her on the ledge of the rocks, soon Danni is screaming his name. After they hike back down the mountain, Colter asks Danni what she wants to do now. Danni tells him she wants to see his vintage bikes, so Colter takes her to his garage. Soon they are riding Colter's 1940's vintage Harley down the road. When they pull off the road, Colter knows actually what Danni wants and he gives it to her. Then Danni slides off the bike and is pleasuring Colter, he finds out that she's a virgin. The next day they fool around in bed before taking out Colter's 1940 Chopper along with Daisy. Colter takes Danni to the Wild Taste Bar and Restaurant for lunch. One of Colter's MC brothers comes out and asks Danni about her Caddy, then they begin to talk. Colter begins to feel the jealousy running through him, but soon realizes this is only for the weekend. After they order some drinks, and their food, two more of Colter's MC brothers come over to see if it was true he had a woman with him. After Colter's and Danni's food arrives they dig in, they talk about her weekend of doing what she wants to do. Colter finds out Danni doesn't have a job to go back home too. Colter asks her what she wants to do, but Danni tells him her mom got her an interview with her sister's financial company. Colter asks her if that's what she wants to do, Danni tells him she wants to start her own business. Danni loves vintage stuff, so she wants to open a shop and an online store. Danni also tells Colter about her drawing she's never shown anyone before. When Colter tells her she could finds a studio, her phone rings. Colter finds out it's her mom, he tells her her mom is holding her back. Danni soon takes her phone and throws it out the windows and it falls down the mountain. The next day Danni is expected to leave, she wants up with excitement and dread. While they eat breakfast Danni notices Colter making several phone calls, with everything packed, she gives Daisy a pat on her head. Colter gives Danni a ride to the clubhouse, when they pull in he tells her he wants to show her something. Danni follows him to a building on the edge of the courtyard. Colter asks her what does she think, Danni asks him about what. Colter tells her with some paint and good cleaning. Danni asks him if they can just get her car, Colter explains to her his idea of a studio for her. Colter asks her if she likes it, Danni can't believe he got her a studio. Danni tells him it's perfect but she can't, Colter tells her that she wants this. Danni asks him what does he want, Colter tells her he wants her since he first seen her, Danni tells him he doesn't do relationships. Colter tells Danni he doesn't he was hurt once, but once he seen her he knew he had to have her. Colter tells Danni he wants her for the rest of his life, he wants her to be his wife and to have his kids. Colter tells her he arranged it with the guys, he leased the building for her for six months, even if she doesn't want him she can still take the building. Danni tells him she wants him, she wants all of this, and she wants to stay with him on the mountain. Colter kicks the door closed on the building and walks Danni back to the bench sitting in the back. Colter tells Danni now that she wants him he's going to claim her. Colter lifts her dress pleasures her, then they make love. Colter tells her he loves her and Danni tells him she loves him. Four years later, Danni shop is doing very well, they have a two and a half year old daughter, Bettie. Danni has a surprise to tell Colter, so they walk to the bike shop to go grab lunch. Danni tells Colter he needs to make room on his bike for one more in nine months. Colter tells Danni he's the happiest man on the mountain. The last for years it wasn't easy for Danni to tell her mom she was moving to the mountain and not following what she wanted her to do. After Danni had Bettie she reached out to her mom, she accepted Colter over time, and finally agree her business was a success. One of the best things Danni did was come to the mountain and met Colter, he taught her to go after what she wanted, and that gave her the freedom to get it. The only thing Danni wants is Colter and her family. They both got what they wanted, their happy ever after.

Colter tells her he arranged it with the guys, he leased the building for her for six months, even if she doesn't want him she can still take the building. Danni tells him she wants him, she wants all of this, and she wants to stay with him on the mountain. Colter kicks the door closed on the building and walks Danni back to the bench sitting in the back. Colter tells Danni now that she wants him he's going to claim her. Colter lifts her dress pleasures her, then they make love. Colter tells her he loves her and Danni tells him she loves him. Four years later, Danni shop is doing very well, they have a two and a half year old daughter, Bettie. Danni has a surprise to tell Colter, so they walk to the bike shop to go grab lunch. Danni tells Colter he needs to make room on his bike for one more in nine months. Colter tells Danni he's the happiest man on the mountain. The last for years it wasn't easy for Danni to tell her mom she was moving to the mountain and not following what she wanted her to do. After Danni had Bettie she reached out to her mom, she accepted Colter over time, and finally agree her business was a success. One of the best things Danni did was come to the mountain and met Colter, he taught her to go after what she wanted, and that gave her the freedom to get it. The only thing Danni wants is Colter and her family. They both got what they wanted, their happy ever after.

Danni is always the daughter that yearns for praise, especially from her mother. But her life is complicated right now, so she books a retreat in the mountains. Her old classic car breaks down and when Colter drives by and sees the sweet bombshell, he just knows he has to help her. Colter was hurt by a woman in the past so he doesn't do relationships and stays single. But both Colter and Danni are interested in a.weekend of fun. This was my first book by this author, but won't be my last. It was well written, and I enjoyed it. This is a short, insta-love, older ex military man, younger virgin woman, sexy with a bit of steam, HEA type of book. The MMC, Colter, lives alone with his large dog Daisy up on the less populated side of Wild Heart Mountain. He's in a MC formed of all ex military members. They're not the outlaw type of bikers you read about in some books. They formed the MC to help out fellow veterans. Who all love bikes, the mountains, and the brotherhood associated with not only the military but the MC as well. They've carved a place for themselves up on Wild Heart Mountain. They've got several businesses and all live near by. This is the first book in a series based on members of the MC.
Colter is headed home one day and sees a vintage Cadillac broken down on the side of the road. He also sees the owner, Danni. Danni is a bit vintage looking herself. Colter says she looks like a 50's pin up but prettier. Danni has come up to the mountain to spend a few days alone. Trying to figure her life out. She's had a few major setbacks recently and needs to decide what she wants to do. She's in her mid 20's. Colter is in his 40's. They are both insanely attracted to each other from the start, but both have reservations about relationships. Colter is a mechanic at the MC's garage. He has Danni's car taken there to be fixed. Colter and Danni spend a sexy steamy weekend together. Colter makes it clear he doesn't do relationships and it's only for the weekend. Will their time together change his mind or will he let Danni slip threw his grasp and return home? Does Dani want more than a weekend herself? How will they make it work out if it even can?
It does end in a HEA. So, they do work it out. It is a good sweet story and worth a read in my opinion. Enjoy!

Danni has had a tough time lately, she lost her job, her apartment, and her cat. Needing a break from her demanding mother she takes her vintage caddy and decides a little retreat is what she needs. When her caddy breaks down she’s rescued by Colter a tattooed biker who’s also a mechanic. He arranges to get her car towed to the MC’s auto shop and offers to take her to her rental. The rustic rental is a run down shed infested with mice and other wild life. Colter takes her home with him. While getting to know one another he is up front and tells her he doesn’t do relationships, Danni is bummed by this, she finds him very handsome and is attracted to him. After hearing all about her woes and her domineering mother he tells her this weekend is all about her and he will meet her every wish. Any time she asks for something he Princess Bride’s her with an ‘as you wish’.
They enjoy kisses and oral sexy times but he hold off on going all the way. Once her car is fixed and the weekend is over she’s bummed that she’s going to have to leave. Colter meanwhile, has decided he loves her and is not going to let her leave. He even finds a space for her to start her own business, a fifties inspired art studio. When he takes her to see the studio she’s not sure what he’s doing until he clues her in with his plans and lets her know he loves her. She’s thrilled, I loves yous and they finally have sex in the studio space.

New Start!
Danni didn't know when she rented a cabin in the mountains that that it would change her life forever. When her car broke down on the side of the road, she didn't know what she was going to do but she didn't have to wait long as a man came riding by on his motorcycle. She didn't know what to expect but not only did he stop to help, but when he couldn't fix the car he offered to take her the rest of the way to her cabin. Thank god he did because it was a shack, not livable, so he offered her something better it turned out to be his home. She was hesitant but she said he must be safe because he had a great dog. Colten said he didn't do relationships but something about Danni had him rethinking that. It started with him asking her what she wanted because she talked about what her mother wanted her to do, so whatever she wanted he'd make sure she'd get it if he could. That was the start of a journey neither one of them would forget, what started as a weekend turned into a lifetime. GOOD STORY!!😍😍

The rustic cabin Danni rented is a rundown shack, not fit to stay in. Colter takes her back to his house. Danni’s mom raised her and her sister alone. Her sister has done everything that her mom has wanted. Danni has tried to do the right thing, but her life is a mess and she is unhappy. Colter realizes that Danni has never done anything just for herself besides buying the vintage car. He proposes that this weekend is a yes weekend. Whatever Danni wants to do Colter will say yes if he can.
I loved that Danni’s confidence in herself and what she wanted grew throughout the weekend.

This instalove novella is fast-paced, sweet, and super steamy. Danni is a beautiful curvy young woman with a vintage 50’s style. Her life is somewhat of a mess - no job, no money, no love life, and failing to please her mom. She finds herself broken down on the side of a mountain. Luckily, tattoo’d broody Colter comes along and rescues her. He’s sworn off women after being heartbroken many years ago, but Danni cracks open his heart and he realizes he wants to keep her forever. The romance was really sweet and the steam was perfection. Danni and Colter were definitely meant for each other!

As always I really enjoyed this new mountain man romance by Sadie.
When Danni’s 1956 Caddy breaks down on the side of the mountain, she’s rescued by an ex military, mountain man and biker! As soon as Colten sees Danni he’s blown away by her beauty. He ends up taking her to his cabin and when he learns she’s running from her life he offers her a suggestion- take the weekend and do exactly what she wants and not try to please others. She’s already lost her job, apartment and her poor cat, so she has nothing to lose. And Colten is determined to make it a weekend of “yes”, anything she wants, he’ll give her. And as they spend more time together, this man who swore off relationships, is now seeing his life with her and he doesn’t want their weekend to end.
This was a short, quick read, with some very steamy scenes and a hot mountain man!

This book is a wonderful read depicting the blooming relationship between Danni and Colter. It is told from a dual POV and I love that! Being able to know what each are thinking and feeling is like having a private conversation with each of them.

Is this an epic story?
No it's a short story that's got 400 pages stuffed into less than 100.
This is a lust at first sight that quickly turns a virgin into love.
After one weekend, plenty of orgasms and one actual shag and she changes her life completely, settles down with a guy she doesn't know and agrees to marrying him.
He decides after never wanting to settle down that she's the virgin wife he wants and hopes her first shag impregnates her. WTAF?
I really don't think an ex military motorcycle club member would have seen that TV show but whatever.
Is this short story written for virginal teenagers? I got the impression it is.
Overall, great little story with not many pages that will quickly get your book count up if you're behind and want to reach to your Goodreads book yearly read total.

This is the 1st book in the Wild Heart Mountain:Wild Rider's MC series featuring the dual P.O.V'S sweet age-gap slow burn romance between Colter and Danni. Danni was just trying to have sometime to herself so she could relax and think about her life then her car breaks down. Colter stops to help and they're both immediately drawn to each other so Colter let's her know right away that he doesn't do relationships. Will this woman who looks like a 50's pinup model be the one to change his mind? You really need to read this dual P.O.V'S sweet age-gap slow burn romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

Wild Ride is a short and steamy, love after a weekend, romance. Female main character Danni is a confused young woman who has let her mother control her life nature life and dictate all her decisions. Male main character Colter is a biker and former military who finds Danni stuck on the side of the road. As he learns more about who she is, he becomes determined to help her find herself and her voice. I like how the author brings these two together, and I feel the beginnings of a fun series here. I would have liked to see a bit more of their emotional connection as the story progresses, and I’m definitely looking forward to meeting more of the supporting characters from this novella in future stories.

When Colter sees Danni stranded on the side of the road in front of her 50’s Cadillac he has to stop. What Colter sees in Danni is one beautiful pin up woman who needs his help. After realizing that Danni is doing everything to please her mother Colter asks Danni what would she do for herself. This is an excellent story. I loved Danni finally realizing she can live her life for herself and not anyone else. This is a well written novella with great characters and I loved it. Steamy and once I started it I couldn’t put it down. Great read.

I loved Wild Ride: An Ex-military Biker and Curvy Girl Romance Book 1 of Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider's MC. I think this is going to be a great series. When her car breaks down Danni isn’t sure what to do and then Colter shows up. He promises to fulfill all her wants for the weekend, he doesn’t do relationships but something about Danni makes Colter want more. Can this weekend change both their lives? I loved this story and the characters. He’s a Harley riding vet and she’s a 50’s inspired dream. I would definitely recommend this book. Can’t wait for more in the series.

When Colter offers a weekend of ‘doing what Danni wants’ she can’t resist. Colter doesn’t do relationships but there’s something about Danni that has him willing to do anything to make Danni happy, especially after she tells him about her mother. Colter soon realizes that a weekend won’t be enough and he’ll have to make some changes in his life. A great start to this new series. Looking forward to reading more.
