It all started with a Girls Getaway Weekend in Sedona, Arizona…
It’s been a year since Jennifer Ellis’s ex-husband left her for a much younger woman and Jennifer still hasn’t dated. Now turning 40, Jennifer wonders if she’ll ever find love again. So Jennifer’s best-friend, Melanie Malone, books them on a Girl’s Getaway in picturesque Sedona, Arizona in hopes of inspiring Jennifer to have a vacation fling.
Jennifer gets more than she bargained for when she meets the ruggedly handsome 29-year old tour Jeep guide, Cody Miller, and the two begin a passionate romance. What Jennifer doesn’t know is that Cody has a secret past that not only threatens to destroy their new love but also expose a tragic event from Jennifer’s past that she has tried desperately to forget.

Decent read with a few eyebrow raising elements. If you can get past the stuff that makes no sense, it’s a romantic read.
Editing…
We’re not we’re Dessert not desert There’ll not they’ll Marinara not marina
Then the logistics. He was 14. And yes, faces do change. But that much? She spent 15 years trying to forget. Looks like she did. A bit.
“I’ll never forget the look on his face…” But ya did.
He ex is a douche. So is her best friend, for that matter. Weird how she could support her husband through school and lives in a mortgage free house but has no money. Where the hell does it all go?
Hero is 29, heroine is 40. Terrible cover.
It’s as if the author doesn’t have real world experience somehow. But again, it’s a decent read.

synopsis: jennifer has been single since her husband divorced her last year for a much younger woman. she agrees to go to arizona with her best friend for a girls' weekend, and to get laid, if possible. when jennifer meets cody, a 29 year old man who is her guide for a tour, she thinks that she might have the opportunity. as they keep meeting up, jennifer becomes more and more interested in cody and less interested in a fling. after she gets back home, they continue their relationship. unfortunately, cody is hiding a secret that could derail their happiness, because it has to do with a painful period in jennifer's past.
what i liked: not a lot. i liked the premise, and i liked the build in intimacy.
what i didn't like: cody came across as very clingy and needy and, once the whole story came out, a little stalkerish. i didn't really like jennifer either, because she was supposed to be 40 and acted like a teenager in her emotions and reactions most of the time. also, if i could see that what cody wasn't telling her had to do with her painful incident from the way that cody reacted, why couldn't she? as a teacher, she's supposed to be able to read people.
As a woman close to forty, I was intrigued by the title. Instantly, I found myself adoring Jen and Mel & their dialogue was snazzy. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit throughout the story at some of the comments... especially the buns...as well as the wild thoughts that would float through Jen's head at times. I wasn't sure about Cody throughout most of the story. He was definitely hot, but something about him had me deeply intrigued. By the end, I completely loved him and admired how thoroughly and completely he loved Jen. Sometimes, true love takes a bit longer and life happens to get in the way, but in this story everything worked out in its own time. Absolutely loved it!

I received this book as a Goodreads give-away. I really enjoyed it. It was a fun, easy read and I finished in 2 days. As a woman over 40, I loved the revenge aspect. Jennifer is dumped by her husband, after she put him through school and after he got tenure at the college he teaches, for a much younger woman. Familiar story. She finds true love with a man 11 years younger. As expected the new man is everything she didn't have with her husband. Her ex-husband on the other hand ends up unhappy which makes you want to cheer. There were a couple of parts in the book that got a little corny but overall a pretty good read.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I liked this book. Jen is a forty year old divorced English teacher who goes on a spa vacation with her best friend. There, she meets Cody, a hot 29 year old stud. They hit it off and things progress from there. Then they have to deal with the usual long distance relationship problems. To top it off, Cody has a secret that could rock Jen's world.
I enjoyed this book. As a forty year old myself, I would hope that men would look at me the way Cody seems to look at Jen. There were a few typos; nothing major, just a couple of times that the wrong word seemed to be used. All in all, a good light read.
I wasn't sure what to expect of this book. I received it for free through Goodreads First Reads. I was hoping it wouldn't depress me about getting older. And it didn't. Actually quite the opposite. It had a few twists and wasn't at all what I was expecting, but it was heartfelt and I am glad I had the chance to read it!

This was quite a steamy romance novel! A few times I felt like a voyeur. Unfortunately, though, it was a very predictable storyline. I did enjoy reading it but felt it needed something more.
