Road Signs for the Journey: A Profile of Mennonite Church

Rate this book
With data from a 2006 survey of Mennonite Church members, Conrad L. Kanagy provides spiritual and sociological markers of the church today. He notes changes since surveys of Mennonites in 1972 and 1989, and compares the denomination with other U.S. faith traditions. Kanagy s pastoral and missional perspective points to signs of hope and renewal.

Kanagy goes into great detail and clearly did a ton of research, which I respect. And some of the findings are really interesting and made me think a lot. But it’s pretty dry. It reads almost like a textbook, and there are a ton of passages about Jeremiah and other scriptures that I didn't connect with. Maybe it just wasn't my cup of tea.
