Not as strong as the first book. I found the main character Mia ironically a lot more immature this time round.
Having given birth to Kai, Mia's life is now an endless round of nappies, sleepless nights and miserable days where she barely sees her friends and her father does not seem as supportive as she would like. She spends a great deal of time moaning about her situation, seemingly unaware that she herself is the cause.
Added to which, the father of Kai is more interested in hanging out with

I loved it. It was fantastic but yet so moving i hope will will grow up and be responsible.I found my self so involved in the book i could not put it down.Everywhere i went the book came with me that's how amazing it is and i do recommend teens to read it because it surely put me off having children at a young age.I got the details of how much work it would be it does not seem enjoyable unless you are doing a fantastic job lie Mia. This is the second in the series of two books, the first being called 'Blue Moon.'
I love both the books but this one especially is just so well written and absolutely enthralling. When I first read it aged 15 I couldn't put it down and since reading it again I found myself in the same situation. A book that grows with you as you do with some hard hitting stories but nothing less than a fantastic discussion point both with family members but also friends!

This book was okay, but not brilliant. Mia is so brave looking after Kai nearly all by herself and I am glad that her and Coleen become friends. i hope Will starts to look after Kai too as he is the father. Kai means "man of the sea..."

Shelves: 2013, teen
Mia is 16 and a mother. It doesn't idealise young motherhood. In fact it shows just how tiring it can be and how isolating. Also it portrays how she feels as everyone is looking at her just because she is little more than a child herself. I thought it was a good book which all teens should read.

Not as good as Blue Moon, but it was nice to know what Mia did next.
