Nathan is in love with Brooke, since the first time he laid his eyes on her. But Brooke seems like a pipe dream. He's an animator and she's the Director of Development at their animation studio. He's a geeky guy with glasses, shy and he can't fathom the beautiful and dynamic girl of his dreams ever being interested in him.

That's how Nathan creates his own comic book, B-Girl, a heroine inspired by Brooke. One day they get to meet and that's the push he needed to start

I enjoyed this but I didn't feel Brooke was good enough for my Nathan maybe because she(view spoiler)! The storyline was a little on the slow side. Also I got a bit tired of them saying how handsome and sexy each other was. But I love Nathan soo much. He was adorably geeky, clueless and sweet all wrapped in one.

What a quirky and sweet read! This was very unlike the typical romance, no alpha male here! But a cute nerdy one nonetheless.

Animate Me tells the story of love between two kindred souls, one of whom is a quiet, nerdy animator, the other a beautiful woman that's truly a nerd-loving, comic book reading one underneath!

While at first I didn't warm up to Nathan, with his quiet disposition and lack of alpha male skills, I came to admire him and love him anyways. He was passionate, caring, determined a

I was so happy when I received the ARC for Animate Me in exchange for my honest opinion, I was asked not to hold back, so here I go... :)

I truly loved this story, Nathan won me over within the first pages, you can't help but fall in love with him.
The story is told through Nathan's POV so we get to hear everything he is thinking and feeling.

When we first meet Nathan he is this nerd who loves his cartoons and his job, animation.
We quickly get to see that he has another love, Brooke. She's

Animate Me is a geeky love story.

Nathan is a cartoon animator for an animation studio where he’s love sick for his superior, Brooke. The owner of the company is Brooke’s boyfriend. Brooke and her boyfriend are in an open relationship. Nathan is awkward and quirky who develops a friendship with Brooke by bringing her 5Bucks Starbucks coffee with his cartoon drawings on the cups. Brooke is on a ”My Fair Lady” mission with making over Nathan. Their relationship moves from friendship to a sexual na

I absolutely loved this book. So fun, sexy, and opened my eyes up to the world of animation in an entertaining and enjoyable way. The characters were complex yet relatable and the angst level was completely tolerable! I am in love with the illustrations and quotes. Reading this was a completely satisfying experience. I totally recommend it.

I had the honor and privilege to read an advanced readers copy of Animate Me the first novel by contemporary romance author Ruth Clampett.
Animate Me tells the story of Nathan Evans an animation superhero hiding in geek clothing who spends his day drawing animation for Sketch Republic and his night’s drawing his comic book B girl based on his dream girl. B girl is actually based on Brooke Tobin, a woman who is not quite comfortable in her own skin, an executive at Sketch Republic whom Nathan wors

This book. Where do I start?

I read this originally as fanfiction and would be glued to my computer on a Saturday morning, eagerly awaiting an update! So when I heard this was going to be published, I literally sat glued to PC again, waiting to order!

It's one of those stories that grabs you from the first moments of reading. The shy, nerdy boy, in love with the girl on his dreams who is so way out of his league...
But it's more than that.

When you meet Nathan, you can't help but fall in love with

Oh Animate Me! Sweet, Hot and down right melt my heart. I really ENJOYED Animate Me! I normally don't read books that are in a Males pov but I have to say I really liked it. I always like reading clips of Male POV to see how he feels for the Girl. In Nathan's case it Melted me into a puddle..what a Mr. Woo :D ..I will be doing a full review on my blog on June 18th. Stay tune to read more amazing things about Animate Me.

A Contemporary "Slice of Life" involving Love, Lust, Romance, Passion, Work, Family, Dreams, and Friendship told from the Male Character's Point of View. This is a rare experience to discover and uncover how the Male Brain works and thinks when it comes to matters of the heart, and I believe it ALL to be accurate! ~5+++ GEEKY STARS!!~

I love this book so much!! It's one of those books that you can't put down until you finish it. I finished it around 4am and can't sleep because of my book hangover. I'm really glad that I had the chance to read it. It made me want to read comic books and learn to draw! (even if I knew early on that I can't) :D

I just finished this book and it is AMAZING! I stayed up all night because I could not put it down. I rarely stay up to finish books, but I fell in love with this story and had to know how it ended. The author brings these characters to life in a way that makes you want them to make it. The development of the story line is so well written that ever page brings new and exciting revelations. I wish there was more, I wish the story had continued but its written in a way that I can imagine so well h ...more

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed Animate Me so much, it was a steamy, funny, and fun love story that had me glued to the pages throughout the entire book. It was one of those stories that just made me feel good by the end of it and it left feeling completely satisfied.

Nathan has crushed on Brooke from a far ever since he saw her speak at a meeting at his work. He has even created a comic book using her as inspiration. But through chance he finally has a chance to get to know the real Brooke and slowly but

I loved this sweet, charming and captivating story of a talented animator and the woman he loves - his own super-heroine. It's a fun read, and the characters are nicely fleshed out, pun intended. ;) Nathan works at an animation studio in southern California and draws his own comics outside of work. For years, he's had a big crush on Brooke, a development executive with the same studio, Sketch Republic. They grow closer after Nathan works up some courage and begins buying Brooke her afternoon cof ...more

This book was so cute and really unique. I loved it! Maybe it was a little too long, and it wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed it. :) I loved the geeky animator guy who draws a comic book series about his crush. :) It was really different from any other books I've ever read, and I loved that besides it was really entertaining it still had some hot stuff in it. ;) And I also loved the quotes from cartoons and the drawings! :)
I absolutely loved this and it's one of my favorite books. It's so cute, wonderful, funny and it's just.. Awesomesauce.

Nathan is a geek/nerd. There is a character after my own heart.

I don’t like Brooke character. Her unprofessional display in the workplace really annoys me. Hey, I am not even swooned by the romance in this novel. That being said, Nathan character, the supporting cast and the drawings are awesome!

If you are a fan of comic books, animation, characters with geeky brains, you may like this book. It is creative and fun.

This was a funny and sweet look at love between two self proclaimed nerds.

What happens when you love someone from afar? When you finally give into the temptation, build up the nerve and talk to her, it's like magic. She is everything you ever wanted and more, she just has no idea who you are.

Brooke is an executive in animation. She always loved cartoons and when she discovered she didn't have what it took to be an animator, she got in the business the only way she could. Brooke is smart and fun

I loved this story. I loved Nathan. I loved the woo-ing. I loved the cups. I loved Nathan's dad. I loved the whole animators world. There wasn't a single thing I didn't love.

And yep, this was a former FF, the author is not hiding that. I didn't have an opportunity to read it at the time so I was very pleased to be able to read the ARC. I am a fan of the author, she has a wonderful writing style and a gift for story telling. One thing I

It was one of the better ones though. Sweet love story, interesting facts and insight into the animation world.

I enjoyed it.

The hubby put a few new books on to my E-Reader. I knew nothing about most of them, so all I had was the title and author. The title Animate Me sounded interesting so I read it.

And then I kept waiting for something to happen. Anything. This was the most boring, soft-porn, romance-novel piece of drivel it's ever been my misfortune to read. I suppose if you're into romance novels (yawn) you'd like this, but I kept waiting for the characters to do something - anything - besides trot out clichéd di

With great amounts of humor, cutesiness, romance, and geekiness, ANIMATE ME was a near-perfect contemporary romance! I did have some small issues with the book, but overall it was an enjoyable and satisfying read!

One of the things that originally attracted me to ANIMATE ME was the aspect of animation and comics. I'd like to think that I'm a pretty big fan of them, though I admit that I had almost no clue about how this process

Well, when you see an adorably clever cover like the one above, how can you not want to read this book? Luckily, the story is just as sweet and adorable as the cover, with the right amount of geeky, romance, drama and smexy times. Clampett does a great job creating such an entertaining story of how the “geek gets the girl”. And FYI, there are illustrations in the book, too! I was pleasantly surprised with this aspect of the story, especially how seamlessly Clampett wove it in, and thought it add ...more
