Very good book as the tension for the Mission Recovery team increases. Jason is on assignment in Las Vegas as he waits to make contact with another agent. The last thing he remembered was having a drink that a lady had bought for him. Now he's woken up with a ring on his finger and in bed with Gin Olin. Gin in there to track a vial of a deadly virus that's due to be sold on the black market. When she saw Jason acting strangely at the same time she needed some cover she used him to provide that c ...more

Author Debra Webb spins an exciting and intoxicating tale in her latest COLBY AGENCY: THE SPECIALIST series. READY, AIM…I DO features Jason and Ginger, two undercover agents, who find themselves in a marriage of convenience scenario. As these two dodge bullets together, they just may find that marriage to one another is not such a bad deal.

Jason Grant is next in line for the deputy director position at his job working as a specialist for Mission Recovery. He is

Plots to both were not well developed and made confusing by the random allusions to whatever subplot connects all Webb's books. I did not believe either of the main characters in the first story were secret agents.....the guy was too stupid to be one and the girl was too much of a damsel in distress. It's a wonder thier covers weren't blown years ago. I didn't give a shit about any of these people.....not even the kidnapped little girl in the second story.
Overall a great big MEH.

Two books in one and this is one of the best that will have you on the very very edge of your seat until the end.

The Colby Series has been one of my favorite series since I started reading Debra Webb’s books many years ago (over 10 years ago). I started reading her books and realized it was a series and I always love to read series in order. I went to many used bookstores and searched online for the books that were out of print. I finally collected them up to the one I’d started reading and I’ve bought every one of them since including every book Debra has written. I’m hooked! This is a series that I will ...more

The second book is Missing by Debra Webb. Jonathan Foley is in the middle of a case when he gets a call from Melissa Shepherd. He knew it must be important because they had not spoken in three years since Foley disappeared from her life. However, it was definitely an emergency and she needed all the help she could get. Someone had kidnapped her brother's little girl on the eve of his being sent back to Afghanistan. He couldn't get out of going and yet couldn't leave with the fate of his little g ...more

Jason Grant received a note last month saying "you're next". Is it a joke, is someone out to get him? Jason hasn't been able to find out anything. He is in Vegas on assignment and bored to death waiting for something to happen. When he is drugged at a bar in the casino, he wakes up married with no memory of the wedding. He does know the woman in his suite. It's CIA operative Ginger Olin. The marriage is a perfect cover to find out who is after Jason. When they start having feelings for each othe ...more
Kind of interesting two-person drama. There is tension here, most of all between the protagonists who have awakened married - to each other - and only one of them remembers anything about it. Lost of spycraft and surveillance here, as well as dodging some really serious killers and snipers. All the while, the two are: 1. Finding each other incredibly attractive 2. Running and playing all over Las Vegas, including a comped suite at Caesars Palace 3. Figuring out who double crossed whom and left J ...more

I guess I'm no longer into spy novels--kind of went out with John LeCarre. I didn't read the first novel at all; it was just too over the top Bond.

I did read the second novel, which was more detective than spy. It just didn't hang together. Without giving away anything, I hope; I wasn't convinced by any of it. The ending felt like it was tacked on.

Generally, a waste of money.

Unfortunately, I bought several of these Intrigue 2/1 novels. Now, I'm not sure they'll be on the top of my reading pile

In Webb’s romantic suspense novel, Specialist Jason Grant wakes up in his Vegas hotel married to CIA operative Ginger Olin and with no memory of the wedding. As newlyweds, they were under the perfect cover to expose whoever was targeting Jason. As they pursue the danger surrounding them, their passion flares hot and heavy.

A great addition to the new Colby Agency miniseries spin-off, The Specialists.

"It's always a pleasure when Lucas Camp and Victoria Colby-Camp take a special interest in a case, and Webb hasn't let retirement slow this couple down. This is a tale with bite, wit and a twisting ongoing plotline." RT Book Reviews, rated 4 stars

Yes, the next installment of the Colby's is here. I found Deb by stumbling onto The colby's when looking for a long series to read. Now I read anything Deb writes. I hope the colby's continue for many more books.
