I love Susan Sleeman's books! She is the queen of suspense, in my opinion. This fourth book in the Justice Agency series only cements that opinion further. She hits the ground running with the action and it doesn't let up until the end. In fact, it ratchets higher with every chapter! I'm a forever fan!

I don't know how I missed the first four books in this series but I'm hunting them down as I type this! Sleeman's writing style reminds me of Dee Henderson. She has the same ability to balance romance and suspense while building a plot that encompasses a multitude of fascinating characters. I love the Justice family -- their sibling rivalry complete with over protective brothers and independent sisters is a recipe for disaster of the most delightful kind. Somehow Sleeman manages to carry their camaraderie through a taut, suspenseful plot and a simmering romance. The combination makes the read that much more fulfilling.

Luke Baldwin's company SatCom is on the line when someone hacks into his supposedly unhackable military program. Having sunk all of his money into this program, and his reputation on the line, Luke must convince Dani Justice that he is innocent of treason and that someone is out there trying to sabotage him.

Dani too has to do some convincing, with her family that is. Growing up the youngest sibling in the Justice family, Dani has had to fight over and over for her independence. Convinced that Luke is innocent Dani wants to take his case even though she knows that the other members of the Justice team will say no.

Much to both Luke and Dani's dismay there is an immediate attraction between the two. But Dani is leery of overbearing-take-charge men and Luke cannot allow a woman in his life until he is able to provide for her. When the hacker/killer continues to destroy the safety nets that they set up, the Justice siblings close ranks around Dani. Things proceed beyond either of their control and they are thrown together with Luke determined to keep Dani safe and Dani determined that she will not be over-run by another man in her life.

My Review:

From the first page THREAD OF SUSPICION had me sitting on the edge of my seat! The suspense had me stressed out and the romance was pretty sweet. I loved reading about another Justice sibling. I believe each book in the Justice Agency series could stand alone since this is the second book in the series that I have read and I actually started with the 3rd book in the series. I have the first two on my Kindle and plan to read them when I go on vacation soon. The author manages to keep the pace of the story moving quickly with no time for the reader to become complacent. For a fast-paced mystery/romance be sure to check out The Justice Agency series. I look forward to the next installment, I'm hoping that Derrick Justice has his day.

Dani Justice, computer expert, former FBI agent, and youngest of the Justice clan, has finally landed her own case; and she doesn’t want her siblings to take it from her. But when she realizes who she is up against, can she keep them from pulling her from the case? Luke Baldwin, retired Navy SEAL, has put everything he owns on the line for his business with the singular purpose of providing “unhackable” software to the military to prevent more men like his best friend from dying due to compromised communications. Will he succeed, or will he lose it all? The tension is thick and the adrenaline is high as Dani works to figure out who is hacking Luke’s network, sending threats, and basically mocking their every move. Multiple factors make the case far more dangerous for Dani than any others in which she has been involved. She has “crossed swords” with this person before but has never figured out who it is. Dani and Luke are struggling with past losses that cause them to shy away from relationships but feelings are starting to come into play. When you are fighting for your life, feelings can interfere with good judgment. Luke has been out of touch with God since losing his mother, sister, and best friend. Is this going to drive the wedge even deeper, or will he come to his senses? So much is at stake, but the clock is ticking down. I received a copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

This is book four in the Justice Agency Series, however it is a stand alone book. All the books do go in order and focus on one of the members of the Justice family, yet you do not have to read them all to follow along. However you will miss out on some good books and the history of this family.

I love all the suspense, mystery, romance, family and so much more in each of Sleemans books. It is obvious that she does her homework. If you like FBI/Police/Private investigator suspense books you will love this one.

This books follows Dani, the youngest of the Justice family. She is trying to prove herself to her family. When the stakes run high and she is forced to rely on them and her handsome client will she be able to overcome her fears and trust on Gods timing?

Luke Baldwin is a former SEAL so his overbearing attitude is a lot for Dani to take in. Yet will he be able to overcome his own fears and past experiences and be the man Dani needs, or will he be to late?

I look forward to book five yet hate to see this series come to an end as well. This book is a true page turner, even if you can figure out the ending it is still a great read, if you are one that can't figure out the ending then you will be in for a surprise.

Thread Of Suspicion, the fourth book in the Justice series by Susan Sleeman, was written with action, danger, and full emotional upheaval. Luke and Dani together fight to find whatever threat faces his company and each of them attempt to squash their emotions. As each attempt to place a pause on Dani's search for truth fails, another attempt to stop her is ignited. Even with full-on family dedication to keep her safe, the danger rises even higher. The question is, will Dani and Luke finally realize their love has a strength to endure? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Sleeman has once again let her imagination draw her readers to a fantastic story from beginning to end!! I give Threads Of Suspicion 5 out of 5 stars!!

Luke with memories of Afghanistan, he has put everything into his company. A big contract was on the table, until he was accused of being a traitor. They brought in Dani to check out the software, and as she dug deeper, knew that Luke was innocent. The chase begins as she uncovers who the hacker is. They connect with Grace, and then she is the target. They only know him as Echo. The stakes are high, and now the agency family has gotten involved. To protect one of their own, Dani and to find this person, before someone else is killed. Good series.

the youngest Justice story Dani and Luke. The thread of mystery went through the chapters until near the end. ( putting a book together takes skill). When in a school room and asking kids to write stories using descriptive language only a few get it. dictionary .com becomes your best friend. I guess I'm up to Derrick's story!!

Loved this book. Many characters to sort out, but was super interesting. I had no idea what the ending would be until about 90% through the book when i got a feeling and was excited to see how it played out.

Read it in one Saturday, so definitely interesting for a suspense romance novel. Hard to give more than 3 stars for a formulaic modern Christian romance, though.

I just finished reading Thread of Suspicion, the fourth book in the Justice Agency by Susan Sleeman. This one is definitely my favorite. Not because the writing is better than the other three (all four are terrific reads), but because now I’ve had three books ahead of this one to introduce me to and keep me learning about the sibling group. I love reading books that continue where you’ve left off, while still giving me a complete story so when I flip over the back cover, I am satisfied, yet wanting more.

As always, Ms. Sleeman starts this book with adventure which continues throughout the entire book. There is mystery, intrigue, romance, and even a little bit of humor here and there to lighten up the tension and suspense. There are definite Christian themes to get me thinking on a deeper level about my own spiritual growth as well as the growth of the characters.

I had already fallen in love with Dani and was so happy to learn more about her in this novel, but I have to say, I readily fell in love with Luke too. Ms. Sleeman paints such a detailed description of him, I honestly feel as though I could see him tangibly instead of just reading about him. And, I’m completely captivated by Derrick, Cole, and Ethan already but loved continuing where we left off with them as well. Of all the siblings, I think Kat is still my favorite and the way she and Mitch interact with each other is so fun-loving and sweet despite their tough occupations. There was one part in particular where the wives of Cole and Ethan speak up that not only had me laughing, but I could picture a genuine family having that conversation. And the best part? I wanted to be included in that family.

I love how Ms. Sleeman blends the perfect amount of suspense, without nightmares emerging, with romance and life lessons to create a terrific read. Every time I see her name, I’m excited to read what’s between the pages because I know not only will be I entertained, but I’ll be challenged on a spiritual level as well.

I’m looking forward to the next book in the series with mixed emotions. It’s the last one so it will be sad to know I’ve reached the end, but I’m anxious to hear about Derrick’s adventures and to continue to read about the siblings I’ve grown to love.

The Justice Agency: Family and law enforcement go hand in hand.

THREAD OF SUSPICION is the fourth book in Ms. Sleeman’s The Justice Agency series. The books easily stand alone, but readers will want the history on Dani’s siblings and their romances, so should look for Double Exposure, Dead Wrong, and No Way Out.

I am not a Navy SEAL, nor married to one, but I do understand the “tough guy” persona, and Ms. Sleeman developed it perfectly with Luke. When I first saw the subject matter—a computer hacker—I thought, “boring!” I’m not a technical person, and don’t care to read much about it. BUT, Ms. Sleeman managed to make this into high-action, edge of the seat suspense that drew me in and kept me reading. Yes, computer talk was included, but it wasn’t intrusive, it was just enough to make the story plausible.

If you like romantic suspense, then Ms. Sleeman is one of the best writing for Love Inspired Suspense. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book. Don’t miss THREAD OF SUSPICION. $5.99. 224 pages.

Another incredible Christian suspense with plenty of twists.

When someone sabotages former navy SEAL Luke Baldwin’s “unhackable” software, there’s more than his reputation at stake. Once again Susan Sleeman has done a marvelous job of character development. While developing strong lead characters for this novel she has kept all of the characters from the previous books in this series straight and true to their personalities from the books they starred in. It was nice to see how Cole connected with Luke. I enjoyed the fact that both Dani and Luke were struggling to understand the timing of their meeting. Yet in the midst of their struggles they were open to seeing if it was God putting them together. They did need to have some prodding from their siblings but that’s what family is for right.

I also liked the story development as I got a look at what type of things a hacker can do to mess with people. It was very entertaining and sucked me in as I was pulling for Dani and Luke to figure out who was behind it and bring the culprit to justice.

I received a free copy of this book through a giveaway that Susan Sleeman held. This review is my honest opinion.

This book, the 4th in the Justice Agency series, caught my attention from the first page. Although it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. I think if you read this first, you would understand the family dynamics enough. I think it would make you want to read the other books (Double Exposure, Dead Wrong, No Way Out, and Dark Tide)though.

It is a fast moving story of computer espionage, revenge, and love. Dani Justice is asked initially by the US government then by suspect and Navy SEAL Luke Baldwin to look over a computer program designed to keep the US military safe while making satellite phone calls. Someone (later identified as Echo who killed Dani's FBI partner years ago) has hacked into the program. Luke's business partner, Tim, works with Dani to find the problems with the program. While all that is going on, Echo resurfaces and vows to make good on his previous threat to kill Dani. Luke who has survivor's guilt because his mom and one sister died in a fire started by his father who also died becomes overprotective of Dani. Attempts on Dani's life cause the rest of the Justice Agency to become involved. I was disappointed that I figured out who Echo was early in the book. However, I couldn't guess how Susan Sleeman resolved this mystery or the family interactions as Dani and Luke fell in love. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading Derrick's story in Book #5, Dark Tide.

Thread of Suspicion is the fourth story in the Justice Agency series. I read No Way Out and had to find the other stories of the adopted siblings. This is Dani’s story. She and Derrick are twins and she is the youngest of the family. She tries (too hard) to prove that she can take care of herself and is tired of being protected by all her older brothers. To add insult to injury her last boyfriend ended up being a controlling psycho.
In Thread of Suspicion Dani is trying to prove that Luke is not a traitor to his country. Luke is a former Navy SEAL. He is trying to build a software company with a program that would have saved his SEAL team mate. However someone is trying to frame him for treason. The Justice family joins forces to protect Dani and find the hacker and killer. I loved the relationship with Dani and Luke. Dani seems a little too stubborn until Kat has a straight sister to sister talk with her and she realizes and ridiculous she has been. That salvaged her behavior in my eyes. I highly recommend this series. I am so excited to have found Susan!

Luke and Dani's story - super sweet.

Lots of suspense and romance, very well written and grabs you right from the start. Didn't guess the ending either!!!

Luke Baldwin is a former Navy Seal, Dani Justice is a super intelligent, very beautiful computer geek. And she is just what Luke needs both in his business and personally.

Luke's being faced with treason charges and his computer program has been hacked! He stands to lose everything unless Dani can get to the bottom of things.

Dani's partner at the FBI had been killed by Echo and he threatened to kill her if their paths crossed again. Now he's back and somehow mixed up what is happening to Luke. Can she clear Luke and avoid getting killed?

Loved this story so much, this series just keeps getting better and better!!

This is the first book I've read by this author. I was impressed with the way she developed the romance between Luke and Dani. Unlike many of the "Love Inspired Suspense" novels, it followed a more believable timeline; as in months passing after attraction between the protagonists blooms before the proposal of marriage is offered and accepted, rather than mere days. I, personally, like the characters in a romantic story more if they take time to get to know one another after the crisis that drew them together is resolved and they are willing to let their relationship grow in the ordinary circumstances of their lives.

As an aside, I don't get the significance or relationship between the book cover picture and the story.

I love this line of books in general because of the focus on plot, faith, and relationship building rather than attraction and lust. This book did not disappoint in that respect. The author knows how to balance plot, morality, and relationship in a manner which makes the novel a genuine joy to read.

The suspense the author builds up keeps the reader guessing; I never did figure out which suspect had actually committed the crime and I didn't expect it to be the person who did do do. The relationship interaction, both family and romantic, are so realistically portrayed that you can't help wanting the protagonists to stay safe and succeed.

A joy to read and one I would happily read again.

This is the fourth book in The Justice Agency series, but reads as a stand-alone. I encourage you to read Double Exposure, Dead Wrong, and No Way Out as well because they are all wonderful books.

Dani's story touched me. As a woman, I like to think I can tackle any job I set my mind to, but we all need help sometimes. In Thread of Suspicion, Dani has to learn to accept help and it's hard for her. Her story is both touching and exciting as we see how she became a part of the Justice family.

***I received this book from the publisher/author for the purpose of review. The above is my honest opinion.***

Another Justice Agency story! I totally love these. The stories are so riveting. And full of surprises! Can't wait to see what hits Derrick!

Dani has real issues with controlling me, and with good reason. So when she's called on a consultant job and meets Luke, she's pulled in two different directions. On the one hand there is a definite attraction between them and most of the siblings even notice and comment on it. On the other hand, he seems way to controlling and she isn't sure she can handle that.

Dani and Luke with the help of her siblings, the Justice Agency, are not only able to solve the case of the software saboteur, but an old case that means life or death to Dani.

Luke Baldwin is a former navy Seal and Dani Justice is former FBI so they were bound to clash. Dani is called in to see is Luke's software is unhackable and it wasn't. She works with him to see who hacked it and made it unsafe to use in combat areas. Luke has sunk every thing he owns into the company and is on the brink of losing that. Can they overcome all their backgrounds and trust each other.
