I was very happy to have this one to read right after I finished the Medium, the first book in this series. M.R. excellently continues the web she wove in the first book. She continues with a really good story, one I haven't come across yet and this time covers more of the wizards aspect of the series. She also introduces a Mora, a paranormal entity I have never heard about and made a great addition to the story.

Kim really comes into her own in this book and shows to be the heroine she really is

My favourite vampire, Daniel, has returned, along with my favourite wizard, Kim Reed. MR Graham is a true story teller - her characters are deep and dark, sometimes with a hint of tragic and her plots are darker and laced with the macabre. But there is a human-ness to these paranormal souls - one can't help but feel for some of them and absolutely abhor others. The Medium #1 - My first read by Ms. Graham, and I liked and hated it. I'm bored by most vampire stories but this finely crafted story kept my interest, although I had to take two weeks to read it. Ms. Graham took several themes and combined them into a substantial read using vampires, ghosts, mediums and a few other paranormals. Add heavy doses of insanity, cruelty (nothing graphic), loyalty and other thought/beh ...more

While very creepy and dark, along with somewhat depressing, this book is a great follow up (2nd in series) to the first book if you like that kind of thing. This intense story is another page-turner.
