I loved it of course! That's why I teach this practice! It's refreshing, challenging as you'd like it to be, and rejuvenating. It reaches deep and pulls the stress OUT. That's the best way I can phrase it! I hope you enjoy it as well!

I totally breathe more fully, feel more relaxed, aligned and myself when I follow the simple, deeply healing yoga practice in this fabulous little book. I must say that I loved the photographs, both the photos to illustrate yoga poses as well as the original bright art by the author. The art was uplifting and a beautiful way to illustrate a nice little yoga guide. A long-time fan of yoga, it was AWESOME~* to see poses that I have never done with a class or DVD or video (one was the playful and truly healing Dolphin).

The best part, for me, was one that it was not too long (enough poses, and long enough, to be challenging but not enough to bore or exhaust me) and that it had the pictures. It felt like the author was there, like a girlfriend by my side, encouraging me to do the poses and illustrating how to do them. I admit, I read my copy in the Amazon Cloud Reader... my beloved Kindle is a Kindle Paperwhite and doesn't do well with large graphics or these type of books. The book looked great on the cloud, though--and when I get a tablet, I'll get the fabulous *FREE* Kindle app and read/use this book that way, too! #yogabody #selfloving Namaste~*

*Update: WOW--got a Zenithink C93 tablet so doing yoga with this book is even more fabulous (in color, on a larger screen). This is what I'll take for yoga/exercise when I travel, too (a DVD is too much trouble/takes up too much space). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this little yoga book. xox

Stretching for overall health...

I have been an athlete most of my life, so exercise was always a prerequisite. Running, sit-ups, pull-ups, you name it; I have done it. Even with all of that, there was still something lacking with the overall health levels I wanted to achieve. Then came the recommendation that I try yoga, and that's when I came across Ahhhhhh ... Haaaaaa Moments with Ms. Cheevious. What a treat. Not only does the book provide the photographs depicting each stretching technique; but an easy to read description follows, explaining each movement of the body. I started attempting the moves moments after I received the ebook, and have spent a few minutes a day, ever since. The first thing I noticed; the aches and pains athletes normally deal with are alleviated through the techniques of yoga. Granted, I have only been practicing the stretches for a couple weeks now, but the pain relief already experienced has me convinced it should be added to my weekly regiment.

I can't thank the author, enough, and highly recommend the ebook to anyone - athlete, or otherwise. There are no fees to join a class, no driving involved. You can load the ebook on your Kindle or computer, the images and descriptions of the moves are right there to see, and easy to follow. I look forward to the overall health benefits Yoga brings to my life after repeated use.

For the one who is passionate about taking care of yourself mentally and physically, or the one needing some motivation and guidance, this book would be a welcome addition to your arsenal. Moments With Ms. Cheevious will not disappoint. Lisa Jey Davis has structured her book wonderfully, making each workout timed, clear and concise, and accompanied with reference images. I found the book engaging and the steps easy, yet challenging (in a good way), to follow. I truly was very pleased with this book and I trust anyone else who gets it will be pleased too!

Loved the photographs and the easy to follow exercises. I'm not familiar with either the Iyengar nor the Ashtanga styles of yoga but I believe the author has combined them into her own unique style, which is probably for the benefit of non-supple Westerners like me. Relaxation here I come...

Excellent yoga instruction book. I wasn’t sure how well this would work. I’ve always had an instructor’s voice to follow. What I appreciate about doing yoga Lisa Jey Davis's way is that, unlike in a class environment, I can work at my own pace and have a clear and concise set of instructions to read. Perfect for a visual learner. A photograph for each position also aids in reaching the desired stretch or core-building exercise. Frankly, before downloading this book, I’d never attempted yoga. I’m glad I did. Highly recommended for us rookies, and probably yoga buffs too. I can’t imagine we all wouldn’t have something to learn and gain from this easy-to-use guide.

A good routine that is clearly written, but is geared toward those with some fundamentals in yoga already in place as well as very good physical flexibility and body core strength. A beginner would struggle with following the instructions and could easily suffer injuries. I would be much more impressed if some accommodations were made for how to work toward achieving the author's level of yoga fitness with options shown and explained for those of lower level yoga ability.
