It was a quick read , briefly summaries the history of the fascinating , lost/imagined and existing Alexandria .
I loved the pictures so much and the appendices specially Alexandria in literature.

Informative but dull book on the history of ancient Alexandria. Too much emphasis on coins and the lighthouse (a specialty of the author), and not enough on the library.
