Beloved HostageLady Katrine Lawtye had been Lord Rhun's hostage for five years until she was rescued by rebel Raoul de Chalais — a man with revenge in his soul. Electricity fueled their passion even as Raoul discovered her secret — that she was betrothed to his bitter enemy. But when the handsome warrior offered to marry her, Katrine was at loss to know if he asked out of love or hate. As Raoul's wife, Katrine became not only a pawn in a warrior's deadly game, but also the love that stirred Raoul's hidden heart.
I rather enjoyed it - it was rather slow, but in a 'lovely walk' kind of way rather than 'interminable slog'. The H was a total idiot, and God how I wish these vintage romances could include some grovel because he needed to suffer for being such a tool.
