The ending of the first book should have been a clue not to bother with the second book.

Heroine comes back from 6 weeks vacation from Hawaii with her new gay best friend. She will use him to make Jagger jealous and win him back. But wait, she doesn't want him, because he hurt her. She keeps telling him to get lost when he texts or calls her. She even threw him out of her apartment when he came by to talk. But, she still gonna go to the party that his friend is trowing, to seduce and get Jagger back. WTF?!?!?!?

Willow is all of a sudden this tuff chick. F@ck this and f@ck that, what the f@ck and who's the f@ck is all you hear coming out of her mouth (aside from Jagger's 4 piercings). Excuse me, but just because she learned how to squeeze 20 f@cks in a five word sentence doesn't make her tough!!!

So, her plan goes up in smokes because Jagger doesn't get jealous, but at the end of the night they end up getting back together (???). Then there is a scene where they are totally waisted and one of the gangsters looses a bet and runs down the street butt naked. Not very gangster-like behavior. Characters who were ruthless gang members, with murderous glares and no BS personalities, turn into high school boys.

Oh, his aunt Mary comes for a visit. There are few pages of her complaining about Willow's meat being dry and accusing her of having a disorder. She says Jagger shouldn't be with her because that girl is not good enough, Sharleen (his wife, she's the chick that showed up out of nowhere at the end of the second book) is much better. She is lovely and smart and he should be with her. What the hell? The bitch goes around punching people!

Then Willow gets kidnaped by Jagger's father, who apparently have had hots for her since the first time he laid eyes on her. He is going to make her his sex slave. WHAT??? Someone shoot me please!

I'm sure the rest 20% of the story is just as amazing, but I'm DNF-ing this greatness and returning for refund.

These cliff hangers are killing me! I totally agree with all the other readers....Book 3 needs to be out now!!

This is such a great series full of full of love, drama and suspense! The first book was great but the second just excellent! It definitely had me captivated from the beginning and you just had to love the characters Willow and Jagger, the supporting characters are great and easy to love and they each contribute to the storyline!

Not only will this book take us on an emotional journey but the twists and turns of this novel will keep your heart racing and begging for more! I must admit I'm totally loving these hot bad boys in gangs!

Definitely recommend this book to all my friends!

“Darkness in its finest form is still so much better than pain. If you asked me two months ago, I would say I choose darkness over pain. I’d lay my life down, and allow myself to be swallowed up in darkness, before I ever gave my heart over to pain. It’s a choice really, isn’t it? People know what they can live with, and what they can’t live without. I know what I can live with, and I certainly know what I can’t live without. Him. That’s what I can’t live without.”-Willow

I have to say, I absolutely loved Dark Passion. While Dark Desire was really good (and I mean that! Please read the rest of the series!), I don't think anything could compare to the first book. There is something to be said about a hot, tattooed, pierced, sexy kidnapper that you fall in love with.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

At the end of Dark Passion we learned that Jagger was married to a beautiful woman named Sharleen, who came back from the dead (witness protection for 2 years). Jagger had a really difficult decision to make, because he was in love with Willow but was confused about his feelings and commitment to his wife. Willow is of course heartbroken at his indecision and runs away. She leaves on a plane for 6 weeks without telling any of her friends, family or Jagger until week 2. I think this was completely selfish on her part. She returns to a couple of surprises. She also brings a few of her own. One being she is no longer a red head, but has black hair and has lost quite a bit of weight.

“I was heartbroken after Sharleen’s return and I couldn’t deal with the wait. Nothing is worse for one’s heart, then sitting around waiting to find out if it’s still loved or not."-Willow

While away on her spur of the moment vacation she meets Joey. Joey is a hot, caring, funny, supportive, and completely 100% GAY. But Jagger doesn't need to know that right away, because Joey also lives right around the block so we will be seeing a lot of him. The first time we meet Joey is at the grocery store where Willow runs into Jagger....and Sharleen. I just love how caveman Jagger goes over seeing her interact with another man in front of him.

“Who was that? Have you fuckin’ moved on? You fuckin’ rip one up me about Sharleen when clearly you’ve been doing the same.”

“I haven’t done anything. I met him while I was away and it’s none of your business because you’re still clearly hanging out with your wife, so let’s not get judgmental.”-Willow
“Willow, I swear to…”-Jagger

"What did you do to Jagger?
He came home from the store so angry he smashed four plates. Then he told Sharleen to fuck off when she tried to follow him to his room, it was epic and completely enjoyable.”-Angel

The guys end up buying and moving into an apartment complex right down the road from Willow and Ava. I love how Jagger and Willow start immediately back with their banter like nothing has changed between the two of them for the past 6 weeks, well aside from the obvious. One of the reasons I love the two of them together is because whether they are fighting or just joking around and being sarcastic, they always make me want to laugh out loud.

“Surely I don’t smell that bad?”-Jagger
I glare at him.
“Stop glaring at me Willow, it’s not flattering.”-Jagger
“What’re you here for Jagger?”-Willow
“To talk, I told you that already.”-Jagger
“Then talk!”-Willow
“Someone’s hormonal.”-Jagger

We finally get to see and learn more about the infamous Sharleen in this book. At the end of the last book, I couldn't tell whether i was going to feel sorry for Sharleen because of having to be away from her husband only to find out he was in a relationship with another woman, or if I was going to hate her for some reason or another. If I'm being completely honest, I really hate those books where I feel torn about rooting for the heroine because I feel sympathy for another woman. This book definitely made me feel absolutely no sympathy for the Sharleen, thank you! In fact, within seconds of her first appearance in this book, I can honestly say I love to hate her.

“Oh look baby, isn’t that your friend?” Sharleen purrs.
Either Jagger hasn’t told her about us being lovers, or she’s being a bitch. I’m going for bitch. I want to slap her beautiful face.”-Willow
“I look into his eyes, and then stare at Sharleen who’s smirking at me. Her hand brushes over Jagger’s ass and I turn away, unable to deal with her any longer.”-Willow

“We need to go,” Sharleen murmurs, as though she didn’t just get her hand slapped away. “Say goodbye to Wilmer.”
I glare at her and my temper flares. “It’s Willow, you stupid mol…”
Jagger puts his hand up, stopping me.
“Enough,” he snarls, then turns to Sharleen. “Meet me in the car, and you know damn well her name is not Wilmer! Don’t do it again!”-Jagger

“I can’t compete with Malibu Barbie over there.”-Willow
Angel roars with laughter. “Malibu Barbie has the personality of a rock.”

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

At this point I did start to get a little upset with Willow for running away from Jagger yet again when confronted with his bitch wife. It's plain as day that she is a horribly manipulative, catty, woman trying to rub Willow's face in the fact that she believes she won. I could understand Willow backing off if he seemed to really love Sharleen, because then she would be letting him go because she wants him to be happy. But from just one scene of Jagger and Sharleen together, it's obvious to see that she is a childish brat and he is angered by her displays and seems to put Willow's feelings above Sharleen's feelings. So what's a girl to do when she realizes she wants the love of her life back? Fight for him of course! Or something just as good, attempt to make him realize he wants to choose her by making him insanely jealous!

“Joey grins and claps his hands together. “This day just got better, tell me where to be and I’ll make him so damn jealous he’ll try to beat me behind the bushes and I’ll love it!”

Jagger is the same hot, sexy, possessive, dominant, and dangerous man he was in Dark Passion with one exception; he has a softness for Willow. He loves Willow and can be a bit of a caveman when it comes to her. I really love seeing his softer side when he is desperate to get Willow to talk to him and understand how he feels. He is constantly texting her with a desperation that borders on obsessive, but I love it.

“J: You’re fucking rippin my heart out.
J: I need you Willow, need you so fuckin bad.
J: Willow…I’m sorry.”

There was two points in this book where my heart physically hurt for Willow. I really admire when an author can get me so invested and emotionally attached to her characters that I can truly feel their pain and anguish in an scene. When Jagger went silent after Willow asked him a question, my heart literally broke in two for her. I wanted to cry with her because I felt like I was her and her pain was mine in that situation. Bec has a way of relating to a situation most people have been through or felt, and allowing you to become so attached to the story and feelings of the characters that you actually feel as if you are Willow in that moment. One of the biggest things that disappointed me about Jagger was the fact that he told everyone multiple times about her problem with hurting herself. That was a secret he should have kept to himself instead of announcing it to everyone they care about and humiliating her.

“You have a wife for that.”
“F*** off, stop saying that.”
“Well, you do. Can’t you screw her? I’m sure you already have.”
He’s silent a moment and my heart stops.
“You have, haven’t you?”
He’s still silent.
“JAGGER?”
He doesn’t answer and that’s enough for me. I hang up the phone. Pain rips through my heart. How could he? He didn’t even have the nerve to break it off with me first. I drop to my knees and all the strength I’ve created over the last six weeks, comes crumbling apart. He was my everything and he just broke me, he broke me.”

One thing I can say about Jagger and Willow is that their sex scenes are HOTT!!! Jagger has a dirty mouth when it comes to the bedroom and can I just say how hott his mouth is?! but just to show the humorous side to their relationship, even when they are drugged with desire they still find a way to be funny at the same time without ruining the scene.

“He takes my hips in his hands and begins grinding against me. His pelvis is pressing against my bottom and I whimper when I feel that he’s hard. His hands grip my hips, his fingers curl into my skin as he jerks my hips to the music, making me flow with him. His lips are near my neck and oh God, he feels amazing."-Willow

“Do you know how f****** hard I am right now? Do you know how much I want to climb up there and slide my d*** into your beautiful c***?”-Jagger

“I reach down and grip his jeans, yanking the button open. Just as I’m pulling out his c***, I hear another favorite song come on. “Save a horse, ride a cowboy.” I grin and Jagger returns it with full force.
“How appropriate,” he smirks.”

“Everyone just got a good view of what’s mine,” he grumbles.-Jagger
“Nice ass Willow.” Angel laughs.
“Thanks Angel.”-Willow

I won't say too much more about the book for fear of writing spoilers without even realizing it. Let's just say Jagger makes a decision when it comes to Willow and Sharleen. But don't think that will stop Sharleen, she has a secret of her own that will make your jaw drop. Along with Sharleen, we meet Jagger's father, Mick (he is actually a pretty large part of the entire second half of the book, but I don't want to say anything to spoil his involvement in the story. Just know Jagger hates him with an anger I have never seen from Jagger). Mick has a motive for trying to get close to Willow, that has Jagger fearing for her life and protecting her at any cost. This book was great, the only thing I loath was next cliffhanger at the end of the book. I cannot wait until the next book comes out to find out what the future holds for Jagger, Willow, Sharleen, and Mick. On a side note, I really hope this can become a series that will involve stories for the other guys in the "Brotherhood."

“I’m done!” I cry. “I’m done Jagger!”-Willow
“That’s enough, just calm down.”-Jagger
“I won’t calm down; I can’t feel like this anymore. I didn’t ask for this. Make a choice Jagger, right now or I’m leaving.”-Willow
His eyes widen and Sharleen stands, wiping blood from her lip.
“Yeah Jagger, make a choice because I won’t stand around and be played.”-Sharleen

“U (Sharleen): This isn’t over. You’ve messed with the wrong woman. I hope you like being a slave.
Slave? What the fuck? I know it’s Sharleen, but what the hell is that troll talking about?
W (Willow): Go play Sharleen, no one wants you here.
U (Sharleen): You’re life is about to change Willow. Darkness is coming and it’s going to crush you. Have a nice night.”

Arrrgh. I am so frustrated with this author!

Yes, I liked the book. Yes, it was a good story. But for goodness sake! All of the Dark Brother books could have happily fit into a single volume, not this spreading it out over 3 books nonsense. And I can't help feeling that all three of the book would have been more fluid and better if she had done this!

And another thing - she clearly has some great ideas, sexy as hell characters and some good plot twists in her head. So why the half-arsed writing. I felt that about mid-way through what is an incredibly short book, she just got bored and lost interest. The consequences are, so did I!

So, I'll finish the series, just because it'll drive me nuts if I don't, but I'm not holding out much hope for her re-deeming herself....

“You’re exactly the man I want, but mostly, you’re the man I need. I don’t care if you’re broken, because I am, too. I only care that you don’t pull away from me. That you let me in. That you let me be what you need, because, Jagger, I know I can be.”

“I love you Willow, you’re my darkness, my light, my fuckin’ everything.”

Dark Desire picks up six weeks after Dark Passion, Willow finally returns from running, yet again and still she’s not sure she’s ready to face it all. Willow was a selfish bitch, she was so busy protecting herself, she never once thought of those who care about her.
“you’re always running from what you’re afraid of, never facing any of it. When are you going to lower that stone wall and stop protecting your heart so heavily that you’ll let no one in?”

Jagger is the only one who knew her better than anyone and it killed her to know what she was competing against; she hated being called out on her shit, she was so damn insecure any little thing would send her running and turning to the one thing that has always made her feel better
“I hate that I feel the need to turn towards pain when things get rough. I hate that my mind leads me down the road of thinking I’m not good enough and that it’d be easier just to end it.”

Jagger’s past comes back full force and with their delicate relationship is put to the test. Can she be who he needs her to be, and can she accept him for all that he is ????

**********************************************
I liked this well enough but I felt like it was just a big preview to what will happen, it was full of silly parties and when I tried to picture some scenes in my head I all but laughed out loud. One of the best parts of this book was when she got on top of the truck and started dancing to one of my favorite songs
“Country girl shake it for me girl, shake it for me girl, shake it for me….”

There is a cliff hanger, but it didn’t really bother me much, maybe because there was so much build up in this one or maybe because I know it’s coming out soon. I think I was expecting more out of this, but at least Willow and Jagger kept the heat from the first book … can’t wait to finish their story!

I gave book 2 a try because I didn't want to lose hope after book 1 (it showed a lot of potential), but yet again, grammar/editing took a beating in this book. I beg this author like the many other self publishers to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE find someone that can help you with grammar/editing. Also, again, it's not the worst book out there that kills the grammatical rules of the English language, but that in no way excuses the author. I'm in no way completely disparaging this book. The plot was alright and I was moderately entertained, but there were a few far-fetched areas.

I am 100% supportive for self publishing (I plan on doing it myself). However, once an author self publishes, he/she is held accountable for everything within that book. I'm not even going to address the plot issues I see in books because that happens with even professionally published books. What I am tired of seeing is grammar and spelling errors! I buy A LOT of books because I enjoy reading A LOT and love supporting authors. Due to my vast amount of reading that I do, I spend A LOT of money on books and A LOT of my time supporting and promoting books and their authors. Therefore, it is definitely NOT okay to spend money on a book and open it up to a vast amount of grammar/spelling errors! Not only is it disrespectful to books in general, but it's also criminal to the English language.

If I buy something brand new from the store or online, I expect the item to be defect free when I receive it. This same principle should be applied to everything, which means books fall into the Everything Category! Also, as for the folks who give these grammar/spelling error books five stars just because you loved the book's plot, shame on you! Hold your authors responsible for their works. Make sure you add in the review how it would have definitely been a five star review if it weren't for the grammar/spelling errors. It seems the norm now that it's okay that society in general can't spell or write a grammatically correct sentence. It makes my stomach clinch to see this happening. Do you seriously want to accept this? I understand mistakes happen in books. Heck, I have even read quite a few in professionally published books. However, there should seriously be a limit to those mistakes.

The madness and fan-girling continues into the second book.I loved the second book just as much as the first.I devoured it wanting to know every detail that was going on.My heart was hurting during the first 10% of this book.I had the wind knocked out of me along with feeling the pain Willow was surely suffering. To say I didn't understand the decisions Jagger was making wouldn't be fair.I learned from the first book he is fiercly loyal and knew he would work it out in his own time.I dove into book 2 with my heart on the floor and mouth hanging open.I experienced hate, love, laughter and discovered that beyond all- love prevails.

description

Hell has broken loose and the past has reared its ugly head. After the ending in the first book I wanted to crawl in a hole and die.I couldnt believe that after everything Willow has struggled through now she was going to be left to endure more pain and feelings of being unwanted. So she does what she does best and runs. She leaves everyone seeking the space to wrap her head around the situation.I wanted to cry and yell at the same time.I hated Jagger, but I also loved him.Once Willow returns Jagger does what he does best,He consumes.

"I'm sorry,but no one touches what's mine.Ever."

Why Bec? Why can't you just let me leave one book with my ever loving heart beating. You make me want to claw my eyes out while reading, but at the same time you make me want to crawl in a corner and just love the way Willow and Jagger love each other. You have this way of bringing me in and trust me I'm all in.I just put down the Royal flush as you have captivated me into your world.I'm devastated, overwhelmed and so fucking in love I can't breathe.

Crazy pure craziness

Willow I swear does not have a brain in her head. She will never learn. Everything that happens pretty much her own doing. Somebody is after you so what do you do but go down a dark alley???? really, see stupidity.

Don't know what will happen with Jagger and Willow, or if they will even see each other again, not sure if I would want them too. They are toxic when together.

WOW! Will review all books after finishing series..

What an ending..really? So I devoured this book quickly after finishing book one. The scene was set for the road block of the century. Was it true love? Were they both feeling what they thought they were? Do they have it in them to fight?

These were the questions I know I was asking myself after that ending. I fell in love with both Willow and Jagger. The alpha male and the strong take no shit female! My absolute favorite recipe for awesome book ahead. This book doesn't dissapoint.

"Ah to be drunk and free, it's a great feeling." Willow

I just agree with that statement so I added it..really no other reason! Falling for these two and their strength means you also get their stubbornness and eagerness to piss me off! But when I yell at my Kindle and go from laughing to stifling tears, I know I have found a great book!

[image error] photo blackandwhitekisscarcoupleeroticsex-118451576123516cbe25f7c3333caaf4_h_thumb_zps174cc0bd.jpg

Jagger has to prove to Willow in this one how much she means to him..after waiting for her to return from running away. He has to go through the motions of how love looks for him present tense, not past tense!

[image error] photo 3249284188_17eae3b4c3_zpsee905a58.jpg

Willow has to allow for the words to sink in and matter. Willow has always been the tough girl, not permitting many to get within the walls she has so carefully constructed around her. Once in though she will fight for you like the champ she is!

"I love you Willow, you're my darkness, my light, my fuckin' everything." Jagger

How can you argue with that statement. Check please! But can Ms Botefuhr let us get our HEA? Not in book #2 when there are four in the series! Did I mention Ms. Botefuhr also really loves a WTF? ending? Yea it's another one..on to the next!

Dark Desire picks up where Dark Poison left off.
Poor Willow is left reeling after Jagger's wife reappears.
Jagger of course is stunned that the woman he once loved has come back, with the explaination that she was been in protection all ths time and had no choice but to leave him.
Jaggers emotions are all over the place, of course he loves Willow but he is torn between her and the woman he married.
Willow decides the only way forward is for Jagger to decide where his heart lies so gives him space.
It takes a little while for them to do right by each other though and their journey and it is the usual battles, with each other, their past and the things that threaten their very lives
Jagger is still sexy as hell and has a temper like vesuvious!
But, he is loyal to his Girl, and their group of friends.

'I love you Willow, you're my darkness, my light, my fuckin' everything'

Willow is still running away when she doesn't know what to do and pushing buttons to make Jagger mad!
But, she is tough and feisty when the need arises and is starting to overcome her demons.

'I'm in it with you. I'm safer with you than I am with anyone else'

We are also starting to see cute pairings within the group. Angel and Ava, Jenny and Ace.
There is always going to be plenty of funny moments within this group and their party and poker/film night was no exception.

'Did you drink all my whiskey baby and where the fuck are your clothes?'

You are instantly sucked into their dark and dangerous world where nothing and no one is as it seems.
The clever polt keeps you guessing right until the end and not for one minute did the story slow.

I am extremely happy that i don't have to wait for book, 3 as that cliffhanger had me screaming Noooooooooooo!!! at my kindle!!
'The last thing i see is him whispering "I Love You". Then I am surrounded in nothing but darkness'

Straight on to 'Dark Endings' for me!
An egde of your seat 4 stars!!!

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series, and Jagger and Willow’s journey continues. Willow is heartbroken and on the run after Jaggers’ dead wife reappears. Everything that Willow believed in turns out to be wring, and Jagger needs to make some choices, her, or his wife! Can these two overcome the issues in their path, or is it too late? This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with truths, danger, suspense, drama, twists, intrigue, heartbreak, secrets, family, revelations, loyalty, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner, and I cannot wait to read the conclusion of Jagger and Willow’s journey.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Book two sees Willow and Jagger still separated with his supposedly dead wife reappearing. The two of them despite the way their relationship began had formed a passionate connection and that hasn't gone away. The drama is high with the back and forth between them and not forgetting Sharleen and the stalkerish vibes she gives off. There are lots of twists and secrets waiting to be revealed that take the story in a new direction. I love how for readers like me who read the original books there are still nods to that world especially that last chapter which sets up the next book perfectly.

Picked up the first book because of a reccomendation when I was looking for something sort of Dark with a sexy Alpha Male. I loved the first one so much I read the first 3 books in one night and the 4th book the next night. I LOVE Jagger. He is everything I ever look for in an Alpha male. He is a sexy, possessive, inked, pierced, dirty talking and a bad boy!! I couldn't get enough!! I can't wait to read more about the rest of the boys in the gang especially ACE!!

I left this book feeling all churned up. I'm not sure how I should feel about this book. I enjoyed it, enjoyed finding out what the next adventure or should I say bout of trouble was going to be. This was darker than the previous book. It ended way too quick though. I am not looking forward to the wait for Dark Endings. Hopefully the author is close to finishing it.

These cliffhangers are KILLING ME!!!
I finished this in a day I couldn't put it down.

Well, in true female fashion, Willow does everything to prove just how she doesn't trust Jagger. Cannot listen to or follow simple instructions. That isn't really anything knew. Willow is written true to how annoying most females are. I'd find this book, or any book for that matter, completely unbelievable if she was written any other way. It is for that reason that the moment I started to yell at the book due to Willow's behavior and blatant stupidity at times I knew I was in for a book that was going to make me a believer.

But then the plot soon thickens as the decision is made, the truth of who is who and what they are involved with is revealed and WHAT AND WHO THEY TRULY WANT AND WHY is brought to the forefront. So many twists and turns...New relationships are forged, old enemies return and the truth of the motive of a return is brought to light.

Yet even with those questions answered, Ms. Botefuhr leaves us scratching our heads and looking for more answers. "What will happen with Jagger and Willow?" seems to be the biggest one. There seems to be no glimmer of light at the end of their tunnel, but the author leaves you with a flicker of hope as Jagger's words are almost a clue, a sign even, of something bigger in the works.

Sadly, just like in "Dark Passion," the author, the evil Ms. Botefuhr, and I say that with the utmost respect, HAS LEFT ME DANGLING WITH ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER that leaves you emotionally spent and aching to heal and find peace for Jagger YET AGAIN. Just when you think that boy cannot survive another thing, he is forced to attempt to do just that, while THIS TIME Willow is FORCED to leave him, instead of her doing so by choice after the last PULL THE RUG OUT FROM UNDER YOU moment.

Will this couple find hope and survive this forced separation? Will Willow find a way to stay out of trouble, which has not worked so far? Will Jagger SURVIVE now that his own physical well-being is being jeopardized? And, worse, how far will this go and how much will Jagger and, possibly, Willow have to suffer before there is any chance of changing what now seems to be their painful reality.

*sighs* Yet another wait for the next installment, but Ms. Botefuhr has me hooked and impatiently waiting to find out what becomes of the brokenhearted...

Can you see me I am screaming from the roof top - NOOOOO!! Another cliffhanger!!! Although in this instance I am not cross, yeah that's a first for me. Maybe it's because the final books should be out in a matter of weeks - oh pretty please I am begging! I can't freakin wait to read the final book, I can't believe where Bec's mind went when she was writing this trilogy, all I can say is it went somewhere awesome.

You think you know where the story is going, you think you've worked out the twists and turns and yeah some of what your thinking does happen and then BAM Bec throws you a loop and something entirely different happens. I expected Sharleen to be somewhat of a bitch and I was right, I then when she met who she did on the beach I kinda expected what he was to everything and I was right but OH BOY I was not expecting the reason why. That flew off the pages and hit my brain and I was thinking wow now that was a great twist on things.

These books have everything, they are hot, steaming, raunchy and oodles of sexiness. They ooze suspense and some damn good plotting and yes they are dark, very dark in places, but then that only adds to the whole encompassing edginess of this riveting read.

Full of great people, ones you love, ones you love to hate, ones you just friggin hate to the core and ones that make you chuckle.

Can't rave enough about these books, as I said in my review on book 1, if your looking for edgy romance, danger, suspense, dark, emotional and twists that you don't see coming you will truly enjoy these books.

❗️MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR BOOK ONE ❗️
(but not anymore than the blurb already did 😉)

8/10⭐️
4/5🔥

MF/dark romance/first person single POV(one chapter MMC POV)/med burn/med burn/violence/kidnapping

Book two in the Dark Brothers Series and must be read in order. Does end in a cliffhanger.

Picks up right after we left of in book one. Willow is still processing being blindsided by Jagger’s ‘deceased’ wife showing up at her place. She runs off to Italy to drink away her sorrows and give herself some time to process. She’s knows when she gets home she will have to deal with everything again. Jagger is still very conflicted in his feelings about his wife’s sudden reappearance… and I felt like he tried really hard to do right by both women, but they’re both pulling him in opposite directions. Willow really struggles with her love toward Jagger because now she feels she can’t have him. And he’s obviously having a hard time choosing between the women. Willow and Jagger are very back and forth in this book but finally decide its them against the world, just in time for threats to Willow to start flying again… girl can catch a break.

I devoured this book! There were so many twist and turns. Some of the revelations in this book caught me off guard. I was drawn in from the start and also from impatiently waiting for this book after how the cliffhanger left us in book one, and then THIS CLIFFHANGER!! Gah book three can’t get here fast enough. This book added more complexity to an already compelling story and I’m so ready for the conclusion!

Someone's looking to kidnap and sell or buy Willow as sex slave and she knows this but Willow is so backwards that she goes out on her own the first opportunity she gets because she wants to make "breakfast" even though her friend already said she will make it .
On her way from the store she meets up with her ex out of the blue and then “His fist connects with my face before I can move away. I fall backwards, landing on the ground with a thump. Sharp pain shoots through my lip and jaw, and I struggle to stop dizziness from overtaking.”
Let's hope she learns her lesson .

JAGGER and WILLOW both are broken souls. From JAGGER kidnapping her in the 1st book to trying to save her in the 2nd book, made an interesting story to follow. I enjoyed the character of JAGGER alpha but WILLOW was my personal downfall.I honestly couldn't connect with her and that made it a bit hard to continue on. Even with me not being able to connect with WILLOW JAGGER and his motley crew of alphas made it an enjoyable read.
