Seventeen-year-old Lacey Kind doesn’t have the guts to talk to cute boys, isn’t a size two, and would rather stay home and listen to music than go to a party. But in the summer before her first year of college, she ends up thousands of miles away from home, in the back of a tour bus, underneath the half-naked body of the hottest teen rock star in the country.

My Review: 5 out of 5 Stars. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!
Let me first crush on the cover just a bit. It fits the story P-E-R-F-E-C-T... perfect! It draws you in and makes any music lover swoon to read this story. After reading the book, and then I look at the cover, I see Lacey. I can picture the moments in the story where her and Trina dance in the doorway while the band performs, waiting for ...more

WOW! Lacey and Trina had an adventure people many think of having. As one who loves books just as much as music, I felt like I was reading a tour in a book. Feeling the rush from going to the concert at the nightclub to when they met the band afterwards. I think its safe to say I need to go to a concert, like NOW.
When Lacey and Trina snuck into the nightclub to see their faveorite band Lansdowne, little did they know they`d end up being their merch girls for their summer tour. I`m just glad they ...more

I met Rebecca here on Goodreads, and I knew immediately I HAD to read her book, Merch Girl. My sister has said in the past that if I didn't have writerly stuff and music, I'd never have anything to talk about. This book was everything I could ask for in a book - music, rockstars, and romance!
Seventeen-year-old Lacey and her best friend Trina get to spend the summer on tour with their favorite band, Lansdowne. The summer is filled with music, drama, and romance. I love that Rebecca Lewis didn't m ...more

Rock girls, unite!! Having been obsessed with boys in bands and music in general for the last two decades of my life, this book was a must read. Lacey and Trina are living The Dream. After sneaking their way into a private concert and after party for their favorite rock band, they get the attention of the rockers and end up working their last summer before college touring the country with the band as merch girls.

As a Boys in a Band fangirl myself, I knew that I was going to enjoy Merch Girl. And I did. I enjoyed it so much, in fact, that I read the entire book in one sitting. This is a fun, fast-paced read about Lacey and her best friend Trina, who score the ultimate summer jobs: selling merchandise for their favorite rock band. While this is a light-hearted story, there's definitely plenty of angst and drama to go around, and every time something happened, I felt myself cringing for the girls, and for

Goose bumps shot out of my skin as they started their first song. The bass thumped deliciously through my body, and Logan's raspy, sexy voice had me hypnotized. I savoured every sound that spilled out of his mouth.
Merch Girl was like a walk down memory lane. I still clearly remember being seventeen and going to see my favourite bands each time they played. Music was such a huge part of my life. It was such a carefree time, being with friends and getting lost in the music!!

I have to say this book was amazing!! I was so glued to the book, I couldn’t stop reading it. I loved the characters and the drama. Also, in some parts the book was funny.
The book is about a girl name lacey and her best friend Trina that goes on tour with a band named the Lansdowne’s. As the story develops Logan, the lead singer of the Lansdowne’s, started liking Lacey and started dating but they couldn’t be together in public because the band needed to show that they were single. If you got the chance of a lifetime, would YOU take it?
Lacey and Trina, our MC's, are truly head-over-heels in love with the band Lansdowne. They even go so far as to try to sneak into a concert to see them. They are rescued at the last minute by an acquaintance, Jeff, who happens to have landed and internship with a radio station. And wouldn't you know it, that radio station is hosting said concert.

Wow, that was fun! Merch Girl is fast-paced and so full of drama, which typically wasn't my kind of thing. For once I didn't mind all those typical teenage drama about boys and annoying ex-friends, but the author really made it worthwhile with Merch Girl. The character building was natural, and very believable, and the story-line was reasonable enough not to seem too fictional. Although, I do find some stuff to be stretching it a bit, like how easy it was for the girls to get into a VIP-only par

Let me just start by saying that I received a copy of this book to read and review and I thought it was a great, light, satisfying, contemporary novel.
Merch girl is about two friends, Lacey and Trina, who get the opportunity to meet their favourite band and then befriend the members, Ryan, Logan and Griffin. The boys invite them on their tour and then the girls are selling merchandise, travelling America, attending after party's, and living a once in a lifetime opportunity. Soon romance starts ...more

Being a music lover and avid concertgoer through the years I truly enjoyed reading Merch Girl. It was a very well written YA romance. I feel like I was seriously misled by the blurb provided for this book. Rock Stars? seriously, where?
The entire thing read like Jonas Brothers/One Direction fan fic and was so seriously juvenile it made me cringe. The characters didn't feel like they were 18 or 20 (?!). It was more like 13 -15 y/o's and that's the suggested demographic for this book imo.
Maybe if I hadn't expected something more edgy and Rock n Roll I wouldn't be so disappointed. But there were no glimpses into the world behind ...more

Very cute well written book. Lacey is your average a bit insecure 17 yr old soon to be 18 yr old young woman. Logan is the 19 yr old hot up and coming lead vocal rock star.

"He loves me, he loves me not." That's literally what the whole book was like. That and a dash of mean girls.
I wanted this book to be good. I liked the whole idea of it. A fan gets hired to be her favorite band's merch girl? Ends up dating the lead singer? Heck yeah, I'm down for a book like that! The only reason why I read to the end is because I wanted to see where she ended up. I should have known when I saw the book was a self published title. Merch Girl started off to the two girls—Lacey and Trina—trying to sneak into a private show of Lansdowne, a band that they admired so much. And by some lucky chance, they managed to get in with the help of their friend. Lacey and Trina achieve their goal which is meeting their favorite band and getting to know the guys in that band. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review and unbiased opinion. I gave 'Merch Girl' 4 stars and here is why:

And honestly I loved it! I had trouble putting it down. It was fun and carefree but not without some obvious teenage drama because hey they're teenagers.
I really liked the main character Lacey. She was fun and caring and sweet and she really grew throughout the story.
I liked the relationships. Tho I struggled with Trina at times only cause I was like "bitter much?"

First off, a thank-you to the author for letting me read and review! :)
Merch girl was a cute story. The main plot-line was interesting because it was different. Not many people can say they've been on tour with a band before. So that setting really drew me in. I loved seeing how that life is, even if it was just from the point of view of a "merch" girl.
The main romance was sweet. I like the fact that it was gradual, and slowly they cared more for each other as the story went on.

This was such a fun quick read. It has hot rock stars, 2 friends, a tour bus and a bitch all the ingredients for a great read. Tina and Lancey both fans off Landsdowne sneak into a nightclub to try and meet them. One thing lends to another and they are both hired to become merch girls.
I really liked to romance building and the characters were nice, insecure and real.

I started this book at 11pm last night and did not sleep until I finished it, which was at 10 am this morning. I have bags under my eyes but this book was so worth it. At the beginning I did not really like it because it had some of the qualities a bad book has. But as I read on it went from; "here we go again" to "must finish this book now because it is so good." I really like it and though it may not make it into my top books list it certainly made it to my reread over and over list. I really

When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure what to expect. After reading it has become one of my favourite books. This book shows you that it is not easy having relationships when you are in a famous band. It also shows that even for the famous life has its up amd downs. It shows what it is like for the people we don't really appreciate when we go to concerts do just so we can the our sovuniers from those moments in our lives were we just let loose for a while.

This book was great. I loved fantasizing about the rock stars. However, Lacey wouldn't put up a fight. Even if it wasn't her fault, she had to crawl back and apologise. She was also a bit bit awkward to start with. I loved Trina, she reminded me of my besty. As for Logan, Griffin and Ryan, I wouldn't mind working for them.
