Recommends it for: Everyone who loves YA novels.
The storyline…

This book sucks you in and keeps you guessing. (view spoiler)

This story contains truly original lines, dialogue, scenarios, and characters. And even though it's mostly a YA paranormal novel, it also has romance, a little sci-fi, and even a touch of fantasy.

The characters…

The characters really came to life and felt like real life people. I was cheering for them, crying for them, yelling at them - just so many emotions. (view spoiler

This book was awesome! I loved the characters, especially Draven, he was amazing. Callie was alright, she was a bit annoying, but she was cool. There were points when I wanted to slap the book, and points where I was anxious to turn to the next page already.

When it ended, I was upset, mostly because it was a Cliff Hanger! (And almost all of you guys who know me, you guys know how

Disclosure -I was gifted a copy of this book by Trista Day, the author, in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first book in what will be the Unforgiven series. Book Two is currently being written.

Callie is cute, a typical teenaged girl for the most part. She has her little posse of friends, including her BFF Zilla, Alyssa, & Jett. Zilla is dating the captain of the football team, Locke, Jett is currently surfing the net for his potential boyfriend, and Alyssa is the quieter of them

The cover and blurb caught my attention immediately with this book and I had a feeling I was going to thoroughly enjoy it... I was soo right!

This book was amazing, really! It follows the story of Cassie our heroine, her loving father, cold mother, amazing best friend and possibly the world's worst excuse for a boyfriend (To be quite frank he's a bit of a d**k). We follow Callie delving into a world she finds is not her own when she begins to have the strangest dreams. Waking up in immense pain,

I enjoyed reading Fire Burns by Trista Day. Her unique way of writing a book kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. The flow of the book is really good. There’s always something happening, no slow or boring periods. I liked the flow of the wording, for example the authoress used words that teens don’t usually use like “abysmally”.
The main character Callie had me wondering, rooting for her, and shaking my head in certain situations. Callie is strong willed. Like most teen agers she’s qu

Okay so a lot of not so good things happen in this story and a lot of good things happen in this story this is just one of those one's that you'll just have to read. It had tons of humor and sad parts of course and in the end a love story that's mixed in it somewhere. lol . I'm really trying not to give to much of the story away. This Author really did a great job with the hole outcome of the story. I really enjoyed it and I'm hoping that the next person enjoys it as much as I did. I so can't wa ...more

From the Prologue to the Epilogue this book was quite amazing! Peaking my interest in the beginning with questions, twists around every corner and Callie's heroic character.

The characters were pretty great throughout the story, bonding moments and gifted as well. There were a number of times I felt like Callie could be so much more if only she would stop for a second to think before acting. Though if she had the story wouldn't be what it is which was pretty awesome. The highlight of the story fo

The first few chapters of this book had me wanting to turn the pages faster, i really wanted to know what was happening to Cassie.

The relationship between Cassie and Luke was weird!! (I cant really word it any other way). Draven was what you call a 'unforgiven', he was good looking, sweet and protective but ...... Aahhhh you will have to read the book ;-) Cole was the opposite of Draven, Cole was very bad boyish, he had secrets (lots!!) i really cant decide which one i would choose hehe ;-) ok

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review.

I'm a huge fan of the paranormal genre and thats why I can't resist any book which has such interesting blurbs.Sometimes I'm glad I took the risk and sometimes I am dissapointed. This book definitely comes in the former category. It was an interesting story with a lot of great twists.I loved reading it and anticipating about what would happen next.It kept me interested with a lot of suspense. The characters were fun and unique in their ow

So I've read a LOT of vampire..well..junk lately, so when I first read the word "vampire" in this book I let out an inward groan. But I kept going. The authors ability to weave words kept me compelled, and I found myself staying up til two in the morning just to see how it ended and wasn't disappointed. Although I've never really liked love triangles, I have to say this is the most conflicted I've ever been on who I think the main character should be with. At first I was rooting for Draven then ...more

First I would like to thank the author Trista Day for giving me this book for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book, the story is good and there is always something happening. Trista really captured the teenage way of thinking. The world building was great and interesting characters which can be more developed in future books. There was some grammar issues, but not enough to make me upset with the editing of the book. Callie upset me at times but she easily redeemed herself. Luke is a cla ...more

I received this book for an honest review.

I don't really know what to say about this book because it was so amazing. The way Trista Day put this together was incredible. I never thought I could love something so much and still be able to guess bits and pieces of it. When I finished the book I had mixed feelings, I was happy that I was right about Callie and Draven but sad the it had ended also it left things unexplained but then I found out that it was book one in a series and got so excited for

I want to start off by saying I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I liked the book, however I did have some minor problems with it. The tense was inconsistent, especially at the beginning of the book, which threw me at times because I wasn't quite sure of the timeframe of events. The relationship between Callie and Luke was definitely weird and I wanted to scream at Callie to just dump him earlier in the story. Also I thought Luke was a tad too pushy, sam

finally variety in a sea of sameness...

Sure this book has vampires, witches, magic etc. but it is so much more than that. This author has found a way to present some of the same subject matter in a completely different way. It starts a bit slow but when it gets going it doesn't let you up for mercy until the very end. I am preparing to get the next installment as I write this review. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was because there are many unanswered questions but I have no dou

Interesting

The story was well written and had an interesting plot. It was unique and contained quite a lot of mystery. Just when you think you've figured it out something new happens. There are still so many questions. Looking forward to the next book.
