The girl next door never looked so good...

For Cameron McKenzie, Chloe Dawson has always just been his younger sister Jane’s best friend—a pesky annoyance who followed him around and acted like he hung the moon. It isn’t until Jane’s wedding to her firefighter beau Chris that Chloe reappears in his life…and she isn’t pesky or annoying anymore. In fact, the beautiful Chloe t

The Set Up
Chloe Dawson has had a crush on her best friend's brother, Cameron MacKenzie, since she was in junior high school. He's never paid her much attention what with a four-year age difference, and he left home to prove to himself and his family that he could be a success. Cam's a serious brooder so when he returns for his sister's wedding, he finds that Chloe is no longer the irritating young girl who used to moon over him. She's lovely, tempting and still got a thing for him. But, he's not

Cameron is the typical wild child of the McKenzie family who ran away from his town and family the moment he could get away. With the typical middle child syndrome and insecurities he keeps everyone away including his family with his gruff demeanor.

Chloe is the town princess who is adored by all and has always wanted to stay in her sweet home town. She has also had a huge crush on her friend's older brother....the bad boy Cam.

Cameron comes back to town to try to find his way again after an accid

I really enjoyed the first book in this series Jane’s Gift; it was an emotional rollercoaster ride fromstart to finish. While there are some emotional moments in Tempting Cameron it feels somewhat lighter and it was nice to watch this couple go through several changes in their burgeoning relationship throughout this book.

Chloe Dawson has had a crush on Cameron McKenzie for as long a she can remember. Her best friend’s older brother w

Tempting Cameron is the second book in the Lone Pine Lake series and since I had no idea it was a second book I feel confident that you can read this as a standalone. Karen Erickson delivered an old fashioned romance that was a delight to read.

Cameron McKenzie left town after high school and has not been back since but his baby sister is getting married and how could he miss it? At the wedding he is shocked to see that Jane’s pesky best friend Chloe Dawson is all grown up and in all the right pl

Tempting Cameron is a cute light read, but that’s pretty much it. Sometimes that works for me and sometimes it doesn’t and in this case the story fell a little flat. While the writing is good, actually better than some previous books I’ve read by this author, the story itself bored me.

Chloe is the sweet hometown girl and Cameron is the hot, brooding photographer temporarily out of a job and plans of staying only for the summer. She’s had a crush on him since she was an awkward tee

This book takes place in the same world as Jane’s Gift but can be read stand-alone.

Cameron McKenzie is back in town for Jane’s wedding. He left town when he was 18 and hasn't looked back. He is a gifted photographer who has traveled the world. Chloe is his little sister Jane’s friend a good girl schoolteacher who has always had a crush on Cam. Chloe is all grown up and Cam has noticed even though he doesn't feel like he should. He is a good time guy and she is a forever kind of girl. When Chlo

Cameron is the run away guy that seems to always find a way to run. Until he goes home for a visit and that bothersome little girl next door that gave him the puppy dog eyes back in the day aint that little anymore. I started this book this afternoon and just finished it not even 10 minutes ago. I really liked this book and hope to see more in the Lone Pine Lake series. It will have you laughing and tearing up and there are a few places in there that have you saying **^%$$#* what were you thinki ...more

If you are looking for a "feel good" light romance, then this is a book you'll enjoy. The story's main conflict is whether Chloe Dawson can convince Cameron McKenzie to open his heart to her. Providing alternating point-of-views from Chloe and Cam gives readers an in-depth look at the realities each face in life and their struggle to find love and acceptance from each other.

Cameron McKenzie left his hometown right after high school graduation, determined to escape the small town lifestyle that

Tempting Cameron is the second book in the Lone Pine Lake series by Karen. The books are stand alone.

Cameron McKenzie is a troubled hero full of potential. In fact, that's probably why I love him so much. He's not the troubled hero who is a bad boy trying to do good but still screwing up. He’s not the ladies’ man who’s afraid of commitment because he doesn’t want to be “tied down” to one woman. He's the type of troubled her

Around Christmas time, I took a little journey to Lone Pine. This is the place where we got to meet some of the McKenzie family. Well, we are back in Lone Pine to meet another McKenzie. This time we get to know Cameron in Tempting Cameron by Karen Erickson. So, let me share the story and my thoughts.

Cameron has no desire to be back in Lone Pine. However, I think his sister, Jane, would be piss if he didn't show up for her wedding. So, he's stu

Karen Erickson has given us a lovely second addition to the Lone Pine Lake series with wonderful characters and a lovely capturing storyline. We met Cameron and Chloe briefly in Jane's Gift (Lone Pine Lake) and whilst I liked them both, once you get to know them in depth they are both so easy to love.

Cameron is the McKenzie that got away. Escaping Lone Pines, he is a successful photographer who seldom returns home and of all the siblings, he seems the most distant. He's a stubborn, insecure man

TEMPTING CAMERON is a really good book. I am new to Karen Erickson's books and after reading this one I plan to look up her others. I enjoyed the characters and the plot in TEMPTING CAMERON, which moves along at a great pace. One thing I liked so much about this story is that the relationship between Cameron and Chloe was not typical. I thought certain things would happen between them based on typical romance books but they didn't. I was surprised and I think my mouth dropped a few times while r ...more

Although this is book 2 in the series you do not have to read Jane's Gift to know what's going on here-although you won't be sorry if you do. One of my favorite things in this book is that we get a few glimpses of previous characters. I always love revisiting people I grew to love. Cameron (Cam) is a pretty tortured soul and even though he wants Chloe he is confident he is no good for her. Chloe has wanted Cam for as long as she can remember. Her grow

Karen Erickson is a must read author for me. I love her writing and enjoy every book I’ve read. She’s done it again with Tempting Cameron. It’s book two in the Lone Pine Lake series.

Chloe is the town princess. The girl next door that everyone loves, but she’s looking for an adventure in the form of her life long crush, Cameron. Cameron wants Chloe, but he always leaves and doesn’t want to break her heart when he does. This combination leads to a great read where the chemistry between them has y

You know... this book would have been better if it were written as a YA instead of a contemporary romance. I repeatedly had to go back and check to see how old they were!! Their relationship issues were that of a 15 year old! Everytime!

It wasn't a bad book, but personally, I don't like middle school BS. Some people are into that YA drama bit, but I avoid it like the plague.

It was lame.

7th Heaven style lame.

I am so excited that Tempting Cameron was the first book I received through Net Galley.

I really enjoyed this book. I think that many women dream to see their high school crush again someday and having him fall madly in love with you because you are no longer an awkward adolescent but a beautiful, successful, confident woman!! This book totally delivers on that fantasy!!However, it does add some twists and turns along the way!

I really liked Cameron, he was such a lost boy who needed some love an

Cameron has always been the love ‘em and leave ‘em type of guy, he doesn’t do commitments. He did his tour of duty in Afghanistan and suffered an injury at which point he became a photographer and traveled all over the world.

He rarely comes home to Lone Pine Lake and when he does it’s only for a short time. He does, however remember Chloe, his sisters’ best friend, who always looked at him stars in her eyes and he sees how she has grown when he is in town for his sister’s wedding. One thing lead

I loved this book. It pulled at my heart strings from the start. I loved the confidence that Chloe had despite her vulnerability that she felt. The way she stood up for herself, so strong and brave. Then there was Cameron. Oh he made me mad with his wishwashiness. He seemed to have a tender heart but let his brain get in the way. It was nice to see them come together, even with the condition Chloe placed on him. It was sweet the way he went along with her wishes.

What I always love about Karen Erickson books is her ability to take a common romance idea and twist it, give a lot of character and then make it work even better. In Tempting Cameron, there's amnesia, the bad boy in a small town who comes home wounded and a "little pest" to beautiful, sexy woman story. What makes Tempting different is the richness of the characters, the depth of their emotions and the way the author writes them. This is the second book in the series and I hadn't read the first ...more

Karen Erickson is really become one of my favorite authors to read. This is her second book in the Lone Pine Lake series and it was a very good story. Didn't like the hero Cameron at first because he was so full of himself but he grew on me. Still has plenty of faults but then who doesn't, right? The relationship he develops with Chloe may have been based on some guilt but I think he figured some things out along the way over the summertime and found out what he was missing in his life. I love Karen Erickson’s steamy Historical novels, but lately I’ve been checking her Contemporary ones and I like them. A lot!

‘Tempting Cameron’ comes on the heels of ‘Jane’s Gift’ which I read and reviewed for Christmas, and is the second book in the Lone Pine Lake series. Don’t fret if you haven’t read the first as they’re stand alone, but you’ll be missing a great intro into McKenzie family and Lone Pine Lake residents.

Both characters are likable and just so very real and their happily ever af

Tempting Cameron was a good read, I am not going to go into plot details, you can get those from the burb.

This was a very sweet romance and just what I needed after finishing a fairly intense romantic suspense. I needed a good read that was fun and Chloe was fun and Cam while quite the ass in the beginning did come around and let his guard down enough to have some fun. While this is a second book in the series and I have not read the first I did not have a problem following the story...I will be

Karen Erickson has written a sweet, sexy romance that leaves you with a happy afterglow. This is the second book in The Lone Pine Lake series. The first is Jane's Gift. Jane is Cameron's sister. Chloe has always loved Cameron but he never noticed her. Once he graduated, Cameron left this small town to escape his family. Now he has returned broken and disillusioned by war and death. After Chloe has a serious accident, she asks Cameron to give her a sweet summer romance and out of guilt he agrees. ...more

Karen Erickson is one of my favorite authors and I truly enjoy reading her books. This was a quick, engaging read and I found this story to be "sweeter" than some of her other works. Tempting Cameron is wonderfully written and flawlessly flows from beginning to end.

Tempting Cameron is a sweet romance with splashes of sensuality. The two main characters, Chloe and Cam are real and likeable. Most readers will be able to relate in some way to their experiences of longing and love that they undergo

I am quickly becoming addicted to this authors work!

Another great book, if you love a broken hero who you just want to drag into you neanderthal woman cave them Cameron Mckenzie is sooooooo for you lol. He is perfect, moody, sullen, strong willed, sulky, holds things close to his chest, passionate and so hot it's ridiculous.

Chloe is sweet and is in love with the hero from afar - or so she thinks.

I love how we are throw straight into the story, without a long drawn out "intro" to the character

Lone Pine Lake Book 2.

This is Cam and Chloe's story. After an accident in Afghanistan, the prodigal son returns to his small town home. Chloe, the town's beloved elementary school teacher, has always had a crush on the elder McKenzie brother. When Chloe puts herself out there to Cam, he pushes her away. However, her car goes over a cliff and Cam realizes he might want to stick this out.

Follow Cam and Chloe's journey on a sweet, emotional, summer romance. If you are looking for a light romance th

In Tempting Cameron by Karen Erickson Chloe is a teacer in Lone Pine Lake, her home town. The only time she left was for college, then returned for a job and to be with her mother. She is happy in Lone Pines Lake, although at times she describes it as being happy ‘enough’. As happy as she is, she feels she’s missing something in life. This really hits home for her when she’s at her friend Jane’s wedding and sees Janes brother Cameron. Chloe has always been good friends with Jane and Jane’s broth ...more

Cameron & Chloe can make you believe in love after a struggle.
Cameron was always running away from everything and everyone, and never stayed around long enough for anyone to get too close. He put on a superior attitude and only let people see what they wanted to see.
Chloe was the sweet girl whose heart was given away even before she knew it. She fought for a man she didn't know she had to fight for and brought him to believe and trust in himself, as well as others.

I loved this story by Karen Erickson. Cameron & Chloe are fantastic. Cameron the brooding bully who doesn't realize that Chloe is special to him tries to push her away. Chloe has been in love with Cameron since her teenage yrs. The electricity between them is great & when they finally get together it's beautiful. But there always has to be some sort of tension & for them it could possibly tear them apart. This is a book & series that I would definitely recommend. Can't wait for t ...more
I have to say while Karen Erickson did follow the basic formula fiction of the characters knowing each other and finally living happily ever after, my gosh the middle was fantastic! Erickson's ability to detail characters and scenes is so incredible that I felt like I was seeing it in my mind, and feeling the emotion of the characters. It sucks you and makes you sympathize with the characters and get extremely disappointed in them. I think I have found another author to love and read.
