Yeah, so I bumped my rating up a star…*Shrugs and grins slyly* The book was good and after re-reading a few scenes I decided to raise my rating.

I found nothing really memorable or special about this story, perhaps it just wasn't for me...

"I learned a lot in my four years of college, but it was more about life, love, loss and finding out who I really am...I learned that having good friends is one of the most important things in life and that, without them, your life will be empty"

Fall From Love is the story of Holly, a college senior living in Colorado. We experience the love and loss from the death of her boyfriend Adam. Adam dies in

I can't lose you because most days, you're the only thing holding me together.

What a wonderful story that blends life, love, loss and most importantly friendship to masterfully create an experience that left me feeling hopeful and happy. Heather London did a great job of bridging carefully crafted characters with a realistic plot that was both believable and magical.

In Fall From Love, Holly is about to begin her final year of college when her boyfriend, Adam, of two years suffers from a fatal ac

How can I possibly resist the book with such a pretty cover, even though I have some deja vu moments while reading the blurb. We shall see.

EDIT: Review also posted at Ja čitam, a ti?

As soon as I overcome my biggest fear concerning New Adult novels, which would be typical new adult story that has been told so many time before, I'm able to enjoy and live with the book. Luckily for me I overcame that fear almost at the start cause it was different here. It has some typical elements but still it was

“Love’s a risk. Period. No matter if it’s with Holly or not. I know you care about her and I know you’re scared to tell her the truth about what happened that night, but she’ll understand. Carter. Everyone understands what happened that night… everyone expect you.”-Josh

Wow, just wow! I wasn’t sure what I was expecting from Fall From Love but what I got blew my expectations out of the water. Fall From Love is an emotional book about loss, love, and trying to overcome sadness to move on with life.

Well it's ironic that on today's NPR I heard Jamie LaRue (who is spearheading public libraries helping authors e-publish) say to potential authors: "First, hire a copy editor because nothing says 'amateur' like a misspelled word." AMEN!!!

This book is filled with misspellings / grammatical errors / dropped prepositions, etc., things understandable in a rough draft but NOT in a book supposedly edited by two (prominently named in the Acknowledgements) professional editors. It pisses me off to be as

A bittersweet story of tragic loss, healing, friendship, love and forgiveness.

When Holly's college boyfriend of two years goes out on to his first mountain mission on the eve of their two year anniversary, Holly never imagines that it would be the last time she sees him nor that her world is suddenly ripped apart. The pain of losing a loved one so fast had left her hollow and dismissive towards h

Fall From Love is a great addition from Heather London to the New Adult Contemporary Romance genre! This is a tightly-focused character study of two very badly hurt, and still grieving, individuals and their story of finding the way back to love.

I have to start by saying, this is one of the rare books I’ve read where I adored the female main character but was unable to connect as well with, or, frankly, like the male lead. So, let’s talk characters.

When I first was introduced to Holly, she had b

SPOILER ALERT...For me this was really scattered writing: an idea or notion is brought up and then forgotten, but you are left wondering where that train of thought would have led had it been followed up on. The whole sky-diving bit, it didn't really fit properly, I felt like it could have meant something more or been better incorporated into the story. Also, why did that kid have to loose so many family members, he should have been much more of a mess if he literally just lost his brother and f ...more

When tragedy strikes Holly doesn't think her life can be repaired, the love of her life dies in a tragic accident and now she has the constant reminder of carter haunting her life.

This book mainly deals with the relationships between the characters and the hardships they have had to endure and are trying to overcome. This is a wonderful tale about overcoming tragedy and being able to move on. Carter was more than a compelling character and just overall nice guy who would do anything for holly,

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle 29th JUNE 2013:

This was a good read. I enjoyed it for the most part. I read an awful lot of contemporary’s and I have certain expectations. I want to connect with the lead guy and the lead female and believe in the drama that often brings them together.

I had this thing with this book where I really liked Carter but I wanted Heather to give me more depth of character with Carter. I think he is a gorgeous guy, a very likeable guy who is

There was good in this book and there was bad in this book. What I mean is: there were parts in this book that were good, and some that were bad.

Wow! I still haven't read a lot of New Adult titles, but I'm definitely enjoying the ones I've been reading, and Fall From Love was no exception! I absolutely loved this book! :D

If I had to choose, my favourite part of Fall From Love would be the characters! They were all so fantastic...and even when they weren't in the greatest moods, I couldn't help loving them! I loved Holly and Charter...and boy did I want them to get together! I did enjoy all of their sexual tension though...and the chemist

What would you do if you suddenly lost the love of your life? I think I would do what Holly was doing when I first started to read Fall From Love ~ a tragic accident takes away her forever and she has retreated into herself ~ She convinced herself she no longer "feels" anything ~ but slowly with the help of her awesome friend Jenna she begins to enter the land of the living again and what she needs has been trying to reach her for awhile now.

Fall From Love is an incredible read and a gem of a find. I have to say that I love love YA but NA is breaking out in the genre field and I love it. I love to read about college because those were the best years for most. College is a new experience where you learn to live, love and everything in between. In Fall From Love we meet Holly and Carter. They have a story to tell and it is a sad story but out of that sadness comes happiness and love.

Holly is getting ready to graduate from college with

I love when a book has the ability to surprise you and Fall from Love achieved this. It was a very sweet love story featuring two very damaged characters that fall for each other. I really felt the author did a spectacular job of depicting the grief of a person who loses their first love.

I read this book whilst in Ibiza, and, I have to say, despite it being set in the cold mountains of Colorado, it's the perfect summer read.

For a start, it's not a typical new adult novel. Not in the typical boy meets girl, girl is goody-two-shoes virgin, boy rides a motorbike and is covered in tattoos sort of way. This book is beautiful. It's about loss, grief, friendship, moving on and new love. The supporting characters of Jenna and Josh add both humour and depth to the novel, and really make

This was another great book by Heather London. I shouldn't be surprised, her work is amazing. Seriously, this book was fantastic. Who knew that she could write something that would touch the readers so profoundly.

I cried like a baby the whole book. I connected with the characters so much, that I couldn't help but feel their pain. She wrote beautiful characters that had their own unique voice. I didn't dislike any characters, not even Travis.

I'm sorry...just could not find anything interesting in this. This was anti-climatic, anti-romantic, and just kinda ho-hum.

This was an easy read but it was slow-moving and a little boring.
Totally predictable and repetitive and I got tired of both Carter and Holly.
I know they're young but as many times as I read "how close they were" you'd think
they could communicate a little better.
There's a lot I'd like to say but I'm afraid to add spoilers.

Also, I'm not sure if it was intentional but there were some errors with the grammar while speaking. Maybe the author was only portraying young people? Is it because

A sad little tale of the tragic loss of love and the sadness and recovery period that follows. It doesn't help any that the person who is there to help you readjust and begin anew holds secrets that are tied to the past. I didn't really feel the level of hurt or blame that seemed to attach itself in this instance. The story was nothing new or awe inspiring. There's romance and there's a happy ever after.

Wow, just wow!

Fall From Love is fantastic. This was one of my all time favorite reads EVER! FOR REALS!!!

College student Holly is recovering from the death of her boyfriend when she runs into Carter. The ensuing story is emotional, hopeful, and very well written. The characters are so real and raw and Whoaaaaa. I can't even begin... I was invested in them. I cared about them. I thought about them long after I finished the book.
