Oh, why did it have to end? Even though this novel had the perfect ending, I don’t want to let it go. I couldn’t put it down for a second and now I can’t wait for the release of the 3rd book in this brilliant series!

Winters is off and running right from page one with this one. She mixes brilliantly explicit descriptions with down to earth characters and a solid storyline to create an adventure that you won’t soon forget. Her descriptions are vividly visual. The brilliant metaphors and similes worked into these descriptions only serve to heighten the experience for the reader. This novel is also suspenseful, without driving you out of your mind looking for a conclusion. The suspense is balanced with romance to create a well-rounded whole. I also really appreciate the fact that Winters knows her horses. She may not go overly in depth in that respect throughout, but what is there is correct.

The lead characters in this novel are amazing. They are not perfect individuals, but rather are perfectly developed to be real individuals. Their faults are just as prominent as their redeeming points. They’re also developed in such a manner that you feel as if you know them, rather than that you read their biographies. Their interactions with each other and with those around them are spot on. The supporting cast in this novel is also quite unique. There is a sliding scale of development based on their role in the novel, whether they are alive or dead when we meet them. There are even a couple who are little more than a name on paper, however that is exactly how they are treated by the main characters so it suits them perfectly.

Overall, this novel has a few heart clenching moments, some laughs, some reality, and a log of suspense. It was a brilliant follow up to Nymph’s Labyrinth. It was equally brilliant yet very different. It also works well as a standalone novel. I can’t wait for more from Winters.

Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I was given a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Aura Montgarten is a Nymph, who can shift and seduce whenever it suits her. Aura travels around moving from place to place. Aura travels hiding from love. She has a curse on her head. If she falls in love or if a man falls in love with her then he will die. Aura travels to Montana looking for her sister Natalie who she has not heard from in several days. Aura knows something is wrong with Natalie when she doesn't hear from her either she is hurt or in trouble.

Dane Burke is assigned to a murder case. Someone is going around murdering women in his home town. One of the women is his ex-wife. Dane is very pleasing to the eyes and Aura is attracted to him. Dane and Aura start spending time together looking for Aura's sister Natalie and the person who is killing all these women. Is Natalie still alive or has she been murdered like the other women?

Zeb Burke Dane's brother lives on and runs the family ranch. Zeb is married to Dane's ex-wife Angela. Zeb is not quite as nice as Dane is. Zeb only seems to care about himself and what he wants. When asks about the murders which took place on his land he is very evasive and just kind of acts like he could care less. It's like he doesn't care about other humans as long as he gets what he wants.

Montana Mustangs is filled with cowboys, murder and mystery and shape shifters. It will keep you up all hours of the night and day turning the pages wondering who is killing these women and why. You keep trying to figure out if Natalie is still alive and if she is you keep asking yourself where she is. Montana Mustangs has a little something for just about anyone you got your cowboys, romance and shifters. Oh did I mention Montana cowboys?

If you like reading books that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next then Montana Mustangs is the book for you. If you like cowboys then you just have to give Montana Mustangs a chance. It has plenty of cowboys, love them cowboys. Danica Winters is one awesome writer and I hope to read more of her work in the near future.

I should start by saying this book is different from what I normally read. I had never entered into a world of nymphs and the like, but once I did enter, I was so engrossed with the people and the plot.

Pacing of the book was great! It was a good mix of the mystery and crime along with romance that ran together at a good pace. I was never bored of a scene and I never wished for parts of the book to hurry up and be done with. If anything, I wished certain scenes were longer! During certain parts like the romance scenes especially, I was screaming "I WANT MORE".

Plot wise, there were a lot of twists and turns that kept me very entertained and made me feel as if I played an actual role in solving the case. I would go off on tangents and try to predict who the murderer was and I found that the characters often times had the same thoughts as I did - which was awesome! It made it all very real. So, great use of verisimilitude on the author's part!

Character development was average. The reason I say it is average is because the characters start off as very strong-willed people, which is great, but that left little personal growth for Aura and Dank. Since they were already strongly written characters, their character developments centered more on love than anything else. It would have been nice to see some personal growth as well. But, nonetheless, the characters were still enjoyable! I love Aura's courage and duty to her sister. I also love Dank's vulnerability that Aura quickly latches on to (even if she tells herself not to) and the fact that he is so protective of Aura. All great qualities!

Now I have to talk about the ending... I WAS GUSHING AND ALMOST IN TEARS AND SCREAMING AND JUST SO HAPPY! Sorry, had to get that out there. The ending left me very satisfied (can't you tell) and answered a lot of the questions I had developed throughout the book. So, well done, Winters! I hope to read more of your nymph world in the future!

I was given a free copy of this book in return for my honest review. Goodreads group: Lovers of paranormal.

I must say I was very apprehensive about continuing this series because of the previous book. But I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.

Once again this book presented a great concept. I loved the intrigue of the story line and the suspense did not disappoint. Winters wrote a well paced mystery with just enough originality to keep me turning pages.

However the author'a writing still lacked the emotional pull that the reader needs to feel in order to connect with the characters. The writing is a bit too clinical. There is no feeling behind the words. I'm not asking for fancy embellishments but the story is still missing that special something that'll keep it from falling flat.

On another note, I found a particular habit of the author most annoying. The assumption that the reader is brain damaged could cause any author to ruin their work by inserting obvious statements or over explaining situations. The most extreme example:

"What had it been, a week now? Seven days from the last time they'd spoken."

Now the author looks like the fool because a week is actually 9 days not the historically imposed 7 that the world believes! I'm sorry, but DUHH!!

My biggest disappoint in this book came midway to the finish line.

Ripping out hair is a way to kill an immortal nymph? Really?? So why in book 1 did Trina's suicide attempt fail? One simple rough hair grooming would have done the trick! Do nymphs not shave their legs or get their hair cut and styled for fear of their lives?
This was a ridiculous concept. A complete let down and shows lack of creativity. I was really enjoying the book up until this point. Or if it at least could have been explained a bit better bit I couldn't get over this idea.

Overall this was an average read. Nothing to brag about but it was still enjoyable.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from LoP.

This is the 2nd book in Danica Winters Nymph series. Instead of staying in Greece, this took place in Montana with the Nymphs shifting into horses vs snakes (as was the 1st one). I like the fact that we were in a different setting and the Nymphs shifted into a different animal. This kept the series fresh. In Montana Mustangs, Aura is the main character and she is searching for her sister. In the process, she winds up in the middle of the investigation. This brings her into Dane’s orbit, and like the first book he feels something isn’t quite right with Aura. That doesn’t stop the almost instant attraction between the two though, just as in book 1. That is one critique I have for this series-each of the heroines falls immediately for the leading man. To me, it feels rushed but others may not experience that.

While each of these books focus on a different Nymph they are interconnected and as you progress without the proper background you’re going to miss out on a lot.

As with the other books in this series, I found the initial premise of the mythology of the nymphs interesting. However I haven't connected with the characters. I don't know why; I love paranormal and mythology, but I just haven't clicked with these characters or books. However, since Winters has done a good job developing her plot, world-building, and editing/proofreading. I felt that my inclination to give the book 3 stars, wouldn't be fair to her as an author, since it had more to do with personal preference and not her abilities as a writer. Although, I do think she can continue to further develop her characters.

I’ve decided that I love Nymphs and their stories. This book was even better than the first one! I was completely entrapped in Aura and Dane’s story. I literally could not put this book down. I was up until the sun was almost up because I had to know the conclusion of this thrilling and sexy mystery.

This book puts together different aspects that I love in books. I adore police mysteries and I love paranormal romance. So what’s better than a Paranormal police mystery with romantic intentions?! Nothing, that’s what! Aura and Dane are a great couple that work together very well in a stressful situation. Together, they are able to unwind the mystery behind the death of many nymphs.

I absolutely loved the tie in with the first novel near the end of the book. I feel that was a justifiable (although sad) ending to a character that I wasn’t very pleased with from the first novel. I can’t wait to read another installment of this series to see if more Nymphs will be able to bypass their curse and find the true love that they desire.

Just like the first book, I definitely recommend this one. Do you like both contemporary and paranormal romance? Yeah, these books are for you!!

I do love a good murder mystery, when added to that is mythological creatures and a love story what is there not to like. Montana Mustangs is a fantasy romance with suspense weaved in, Aura's hundreds of years of existence seem to vane in comparison to finally opening up and finding love with a mortal man.

There were plenty of secrets and that created nice chemistry between Aura and Dane, but the mystery of the washed a shore body had it's own major chuck in the book, which I liked but had not expected. The same thing with The Nymph's Labyrinth. I was expecting more romance, and got plenty of suspense added to it, which I did like a lot.

I liked Aura, she wasn't what you might think a nymph would be, she was very likable and pretty single minded about finding her sister Natalie, I loved her ability to talk to wildlife horses especially and pretty much though she was adorable, but with a definite strong streak. Dane was well written as well, he was suspicious of Aura and her meddling in his business, but she grew to be a distraction he wasn't expecting and that just added to the chemistry between these two.

Want a romantic suspense with mythology and murder mystery sprinkled in it? Then pick up Montana Mustangs.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 unicorns - I loved it!!!
** Received the ebook as part of the book tour for an honest review

The cover I totally love because it all works really well, but I am partial to animals :) so the beautiful horse and scenery attracts me to the book.

The author’s writing style made is easy to get sucked right into the story. She had me from the first chapter. The nymphs are mythology based, but Danica has her own twists that I really like. I don’t want to read the same thing over and over. I love that the nymphs are different kinds of shifters. This is definitely a book meant for adults.

This story is about Aura, and I really love her character. She is very caring and stands up for what she believes in. She doesn’t tolerate cruelty. She is trying to find her missing sister. This story has everything to keep you interested murder mystery, missing persons, family drama, investigations, suspects trying to get away, and throw in animal action on the mountain.

Oh and I forgot to mention I couldn't put this book down :) I read it straight through until the end :)

I definitely recommend to this story to any adult who likes mythology and paranormal romance. I can’t wait to start book 3 :) YAY!!!

MONTANA MUSTANGS, by author Danica Winters, is a fantastic paranormal romance with a satisfying murder mystery weaved in. Filled with a mix of shifters, nymphs, cowboys, and cops, the story revolves around a heroine and hero with plenty of secrets and tragedy in their pasts. Neither is willing or able to open up to the other in the beginning, but as the story moves forward it becomes clear they must learn to trust each other and their growing feelings if there’s any chance of solving the horrific series of crimes at the novel’s center. Ms. Winters has done a wonderful job of intertwining the romance and suspense plots and doing each one equal justice. This book will keep you up late into the night because you simply must find out what happens next. If you’re looking for a paranormal romance filled with sizzling sexual chemistry between the leads with a compelling suspense thriller twist, MONTANA MUSTANGS is the book for you!

From the very first sentence I was drawn into this book and could barely put it down until the end. This book has romance, mystery and even shape shifters, After you read this book you may find yourself checking out the back of the necks of your friends. You just never know who might be one.
Danica draws great pictures of her characters. some you will like and will want to get to know better. Some you won't like so much but will probably to be able to relate them to someone you know in your life. As Dane and Audra search for her sister, Natalie they continue to find bodies all of which are marked with the sign of shape shifters. You will be wanting to find out who killed these women and why. Along the way you will also watch as Audra fights falling for Dane even knowing that he is the one person who can help her find her sister.
I strongly recommend this book. It has love, mystery, nymphs and a variety of shape shifters. I found myself wishing I could be a wild mustang running free. For now I just have to wait patiently for Book 3.

admit by the title of the book, I was kinda put off. It sounded like a typical romance novel. Wow, totally wrong! I personally have never read a book about a shapeshifting Nymph who has a really long life span. Right there, I was intrigued and wanted to know where this story could take me. Aura is looking for her sister who went missing, Enter Dane the cop who is going to help her or just follow her around if necessary! I love the chemistry between these two. I love that Aura can push her thoughts to animals, so different! This is a dynamic story, paranormal, murder, mystery, romance....so many aspects all in one place! I cant wait to read more of the Nymph series and ANYTHING written by Danica Winters! I am now a FAN! Brilliant out of the box story!

I was given this to write a honest review for the group lovers of the paranormal on goodreads
Montana mustangs is book 2 in the Nymph series. I liked this book and found it refreshingly different from other books, the plot was well written from start to finish.
The female lead Aura, is a nymph. I love the fact that Nymphs have the ability to seduce people to do what they want. She is caring and stands up for what she believes. She's a great character.
The book keeps you gripped, it has mix of  aspects to it murder, love and mystery.
You could read this as a stand alone book but if you do you will missing out on book 1 which is another great read.   Thanks

I liked Montana Musings more than the first book, The Nymph's Labyrinth. I enjoy the nymph aspect, it's something I haven't read before and I'm a sucker for animals and Aura, the heroine, was able to connect with the animals, communicate with them. There was some serious sexual tension between Aura and Dane, their connection felt right and the murders added mystery and suspense to the story line. Worth a read.

Seems like most people liked this book better than the first, but I just couldn't get through it. I should disclose that I got this book for free. I didn't love the first book, but I figured I should keep reading these free books that I had piling up instead of buying more. I read about a quarter of it before I just gave up on it. I just didn't care what happened to the characters and when that happens I'm out.

I simply adore paranormals but I do want a book with a great plot. This new to me series is a romantic suspense all wrapped up with mythological shifters and it's a truly unique concept.
Aura is a nymph and has been around for a very long time . She's not just some lusty temptress though as she can shift into a Mustang but there's a price for her abilities . If a human male and a nymph fall in love the curse Aura carries will see the man dying from a horribly tragic death. Suddenly having the power to seduce doesn't seem quite so appealing!
Aura has travelled to Montana searching for her sister Natalie who has gone missing but what Aura discovers is truly too gruesome for words. She finds a severed hand and although it's not Natalie's it's still a frightening discovery but Auras made of strong stuff and calls the authorities but that lands her slap bang in the middle of the investigation. Dane is determined to catch the killer but there's just something about Aura that doesn't feel right. She's a woman of mystery and Danes pretty sure that he intends to uncover all her secrets but keeping his hands off her is proving to be almost impossible.
On the hunt for the killer it soon becomes apparent to Aura that she's not the only Nymph in the area and it looks as if her secretive race are being targeted. Finding Natalie before it's too late is essential but there are more secrets to discover in Montana and Aura needs all her wits about her but Dane is proving to be a most delicious distraction .
I'm a bit on the fence about this book. First I must say the premise is very good and I love it when an author ties mythology into a modern story. There's a lot of mystery to solve in this story and I really liked the plot twists. It's a murder mystery and I always love guessing whose done it and just why so right up my street .
It's also a romance and I think that's what felt off to me. It just all seemed a little too immediate with the hero and heroine latching on to each other almost as soon as they met! I get that Aura is irresistible but in the midst of all that she's discovered (severed hand!) I wasn't comfortable with the instant lust. Having said that she is determined to do whatever it takes to find her missing sister and I liked her steely backbone.
Danes an interesting character and his background adds colour to the story. Without too many spoilers id just say that his family add greatly to the storyline and the author explores how difficult family life can be. This is not a particularly loving family and tension abounds but that added greatly to the plot.
Is it a romance? Well it's not an easy one as obviously Aura does not want to experience love as it would mean losing Dane and she's tried so hard to guard her heart. These two strong personalities are both very passionate so expect some heated moments. The ending was a huge surprise and I admire the authors ability to think outside the box. Ms Winters can certainly write interesting prose and her descriptions brought images to life but I just found the dialogue a little jumpy at times. This is easily read as a standalone novel but I think it's probably best to read in order if possible.

Montana Mustangs is Book 2 in the Nymph series by Danica Winters.

In Montana Mustangs we are back in the United States (as opposed to Greece, which is where Book 1 takes place) so the entire theme shifts (as it were) to a western theme. Our nymphs in Book 2 are just as the title suggests ~ Mustangs (horse-shifters).

Aura Montgarten is a shifter from Yuma, AZ in Montana trying to locate her missing sister, Natalie. While doing some investigating, Aura comes across a female hand and promptly phones the local police. As the story progresses, Aura becomes a suspect when her sleuthing ways put her in the middle of several crime scenes, only....Deputy Dane Burke isn't quite sure it's Aura. As evidence is collected and secrets are revealed, Dane questions what's going on his small town, and Aura exhaustingly continues to search for her sister, all while fighting off the attraction she has for Dane.

Montana Mustangs is a great paranormal romance with a twist of mystery. The main tie to book 1, The Nymph's Labyrinth, has to do with Kararina Homeros, the fallen leader of the Greek nymphs. Her involvement (albeit, slight involvement) in Book 2 is important to the progression of not only the book, but the series. It helps to tie the nymphs in Greece to those nymphs in other areas around the globe.

Aura was written quite well and her entire character is likable....Just ask Deputy Burke ~ he'll tell you just how likable she is - with or without her nymphy charm. She's a strong character, completely driven in the search for her sister. Unable to leave things alone, she ventures into some very risky territory including the feud between Dane and his brother, who runs the family ranch. Aura also has a special ability that allows her to communicate with wildlife and I found this to be a great atypical trait.

Deputy Dane Burke is a well written hero, as well. He tries to do the best job he can but Aura has become a huge distraction ~ one that could very well cost him his position. Dane is forced to dive into his past when Aura shows up on his brother's property. At first he is suspicious and isn't sure what to make of Aura, but when her secret is revealed and proves to be a connection to a person in his past, he realizes that there not all is what it seems.

This is an enjoyable novel with a couple of spicy sections. The mystery behind the disappearance of Natalie isn't immediately revealed or easily guessed. The secondary characters are necessary parts of the plot and each serve an important function. The way Montana Mustangs is written allows the reader(s) to really get into the story.

I look forward to the next installment.

As the second book in the the Nymph series the action now takes place back in the States, the wilds of Montana to be precise. There's a sense of freedom and peace here until the bodies of young women start turning up. A crime scene is actually our first glimpse of the story's protagonists and you can sense their mutual hardheadedness and sexual tension from the moment their eyes meet. From that intense beginning their journey to a HEA is one ripe with danger. It's going to take a lot of trust in their evolving emotions for them to stay one step ahead of the murderer.

Aura is devoted to her sister Natalie, who is rather flighty. After not hearing from her, Aura comes to Montana which is her last known location. Aura then spends the remainder of the book looking for her sister while assisting Deputy Dane Burke in finding the murderer as it appears that the victims are shifters themselves. Aura is attracted to Dane from the beginning but fights it every step of the way as a curse will consign him to death the moment they admit their feelings. Forever keeping her heart hidden has left Aura a bit standoffish. I actually had a hard time warming up to her. She's smart but keeps her true feelings to herself which makes her a woman lacking in warm fuzzies. That doesn't mean she's not highly sexual though, since as a nymph she is. Along with her abilities of seduction comes the ability to talk to animals which adds another unique layer to these shifters.

Dane has a dark past he's trying to hide too that we slowly learn about as he and Aura get closer together. This in no way detracts from his sexiness though. He has all the qualities of a perfect hero in that he values her assistance with searching for the murderer and he'll do anything to keep Aura safe, including dying for her if necessary. The romance between him and Aura is intense as knowing that it means death gives a constant sense of foreboding. You value each time they're together and can't help rooting for their almost impossible HEA.

The mystery that permeates this story is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. There's plenty of characters, among them Dane's brooding brother, that at one time or another landed on my list of possible murderers and I congratulate Ms. Winters on her satisfyingly written mystery. The paranormal aspects were unique and I commend the author further in breathing fresh air into a familiar genre. Even though this is the continuation of a series this book can easily stand on its own.

I just love getting to be introduced to new authors to me and discovering more yummy reads. This is the first time reading this author and picked it because it was a shifter romance but of a little different style of shifter. Dane is a investigating officer and did not realize that when a body part was discovered it would open up a whole can of worms so to speak he might of not have wanted. Aura happened to be to discover it and call it in but on her way she wants to be. Looking for her sister who has suddenly gone silent she is worried about her and doesn't need to be involved but that is how the cookie has crumbled in this beginning. She doesn't need anyone knowing her business but Dane is going to make her his business. She has a secret one that has been that way for a very long time but someone else is also aware of them and their secrets. Trying to distract Dane is not a easy task either throw in the fact they are both attracted to each other something neither has had in long long time. Their are also other key characters in this story that is here that adds to the mix. Murder, mystery and mayhem combined with romance of the hot and heavy kind is the flow of this paranormal read. Love is cursed and to overcome it is also a key ingredient and quite interesting to see how it is overcome the cursed part that is. A spot of humor also when Dane finds out and told her secret by her and the interaction between them. This paranormal I would say is also of the mythical kind based in greek kind. That alone had a spark of interest for me. I must say all of this was intertwined very nicely and it actually read quite nicely as if reading of murder anywhere even if a shifters were the victims involved and the murders of their kind. One thing though I try not to do when reviewing a mystery involving murder and drama and that is not to spoil it for the reader who hasn't read it but was very happy with the outcome of this novel, your not to be suspected person (love it) turns out to be the one who should of been suspected. Oh I really enjoyed this one. Montana Mustangs pulled me in right from the start with mystery and intrigue ( even if it put me off my breakfast there for a bit because there were some eeewww gross you out things happening) and kept me attached to my nook to the very last page. I just couldn't put it down.

Women are showing up murdered left and right in a small Montana town with seemingly no cause. And Aura, a mysterious young woman who is new to the area instantly lands herself on police officer Dane's radar. Not only has she landed right in the middle of his investigation but there's just something about her he can't resist.

Which I totally got because I couldn't resist her either. I loved both of the characters. Aura's determined, brave and has a way with animals due to her Nymph gifts-- she's a horse shifting nymph. And Dane is a sexy cop who loves his job, does what's right and loves helping people. He's really a good guy and it was fun watching his reaction to the Aura.

Now. The sexy bits. They weren't bad but it was one of those "really now?!" kind of things. We've got winter going on and then some outdoor loving right there in the snow. Hello! That's freaking cold and so not naughty bit friendly. Just sayin. LOL They were good though. Passion of the moment just right on overtook them.

Overall, Montana Mustangs was an entertaining light paranormal romance that can be read as a stand alone no problem. With characters you can love, an interesting investigation and some surprise happenings it's great for an afternoon read where you want something easy and relaxing that'll keep you guessing just a little bit.

I had read 'The Nymph's Labyrinth' which was set on a Greek island. MONTANA MUSTANGS tells how the nymph shapeshifters who once ran free in horse form have been fighting encroachment by domestic livestock. Unlike their Greek sisters who profit from tourism, they find their animal friends are being poisoned or captured.

A lawman who is called to the lakeshore scene of a grisly find meets a blonde lady called Aura who reported finding a severed female hand. Deputy Dane Burke learns that Aura has driven up from Arizona to meet her sister and she isn't communicative. Dane thinks there's something odd about Aura, but she can drive through Montana. Next day however she is reported trespassing on a mountainous ranch, and Dane investigates. Aura uses her extra-womanly wiles, and Dane finds himself kissing the lady. He doesn't know that she's a horse shifter nymph several centuries old, nor that a curse will befall men who love such women.

There's crime scene investigation as bodies mount up with startling rapidity; an autopsy report and wolf attack are shown, so it's not entirely cosy. I was surprised that Dane keeps working the case even after a woman connected to him is found dead. The awful motivation for the abductions and killings becomes gradually visible. Aura's tension mounts as she keeps hoping her sister will be found unharmed. Aura works with scared horses and tries to protect them from ill-treatment... I kept waiting to see her shift form but she doesn't do that anymore, which is a bit of a let-down.

Some settings are very well described, with frost-tipped grasses on the mountainsides, but I preferred 'The Nymph's Labyrinth' which brought the Greek island and characters completely to life. This instalment in the 'Nymphs' adult romance series is more for crime readers. Danica Winters has written about swan shifters in the next book, 'Winter Swans'.

*all spoilers removed*

I have been pleasantly surprised by this series!! Book one caught my interest right away when I realized it's biased on Greek myth, with a twist! The second novel brings us across the oceans, back to the US. IT IS EVERYTHING A SECOND NOVEL IN A SERIES SHOULD BE!!
Not only does this book add to "shape shifting" concept from the first book, it also lays out the mystery and problems that the series needs to continue on and keep the reader guessing. This novel made me think that each book was going to only slightly tie into the other and really could be a "each book stands on it's own set". A lot of it seemed to be close to the events of book one, just with a new exciting mystery and of course romance!
Danica Winters is defiantly a gifted writer and knows how to bring just enough passion and a bit of erotica for the nymphs. (Yes it certainly is an adult read). The passion she brings to these book adds to the mystery, adds excitement, and makes the characters swoon worthy!!
The only thing that I am still struggling with is how quickly the " significant other" comes to terms with the nymph and shape shifter situation. Also it does fall into the instant love category, but they are nymphs after all :).
This was a suspense filled face paced read! Personally I had a good idea of the who did it but the "why" will keep you guessing!!
I can not wait to read book three and see where the author leads us next. Will the curse continue? And if so who will fall victim??
I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys Greek myth, romance, and or a good mystery!

Five stars for Danica Winters' sexy, suspenseful, and absolutely enthralling Nymph series

I hate to admit that I became lost in a series, but I did. I really did. I received a copy from the publisher of Danica Winters' Winter Swans, the third book in her Nymph series, and just had a feeling that I should read the first two books as well. Ms. Winters was gracious and kind enough to share the first two books with me and then I became lost as I began to read…

The second book in the series, Montana Mustangs, takes us as far from Crete as could be as the chapter opens in the wild country of Montana. This time the nymph is Aura, a U.S.-based nymph who takes the form of a wild horse instead of a snake, but still has the quality of seduction of any and all males.

Dane, a very sexy cowboy/policeman interrogates her upon her discovery of a severed hand in a lake. Trouble seems to follow her as she confronts a ranch owner over the mistreatment of a horse (she can speak to animals as her special gift) and also finds some dead bodies of fellow nymphs. Soon she and the sexy detective are heating up the pages as she continues to search for her missing sister as well as trying to discover who's targeting her fellow nymphs and why.

Along the way they have to deal with some mean ranchers, a jealous detective, and find a way to conquer the curse of the nymphs. I was flipping those pages like crazy to find out what would transpire.

I recieved a copy from Netgalley.

I loved this book right from the start. I loved the Montana setting and the style of the writing and the plot was intruiging right from the get go. The characters were all fully formed with interesting personalities from the good guys to the bad guys.

There's a murder mystery and a paranormal element. I found the paranormal element the shape shifting nymphs to be unique. I've never seen anything like this before even though I read lots of paranormal romance. I'm always looking for something fresh and new and this fit the bill perfectly. While this was the second book in a series I flew through it with no trouble figuring out what was going on. Not recapping the plot as that would be too spoilery.

I immensely enjoyed the two main characters, Dane and Aura. They had amazing chemistry and a wonderful slow burn romance. For most of the novel they were both clearly attracted to each other but for reasons they wouldn't give into their obvious desire. When the romance happened it was really sizzling. Hot and perfectly written.

Wrapped up and concluded with a wonderful ending that actually brought a few tears. A wonderful absorbing read with a great plot and fantastic characters.

Also crossed a square off my Book Bingo challenge - a romance,

A hug thanks to Netgalley and Crimson Romance for approving my request to view this title. I loved it.

The giant horses of mythology, now tamed by humankind, live out their lives on ranches of Western US. Wild creatures, rounded up by the BLM, and beaten into submission, perhaps all they need is a trainer who cares, or a leader with power. But Aura’s sister has disappeared, and there are reasons Aura believes her sister might have been both trainer and leader.

Author Danica Winters slides the intriguing possibility of shape-shifting nymphs very gently into her tale, first creating characters the reader enjoys, then adding that mysterious touch of reimagined Greek myth. A gory discovery and some unexplained deaths bring cop and horse-trainer together. And eternal nymphs prove paradoxically frail as the story progresses. I wasn't sure about the logic, but the story's fun. And Aura is strong—the only question, will strength allow her to resist the siren call of true love?

Cross the magic and romance of Lisa Hendrix’s Immortal Brotherhood series, with the thoroughly modern (and magical) female protagonists of Judi Fennell’s mermaids, and you’ll have the flavor of Danica Winters’ Nymphs Series, an exciting mix of action, adventure, Greek myth, sensual romance, and mystery.

Disclosure: I was given a free ecopy when I offered to host the author on her blog tour for book 3 of the series.

This is a really interesting series. I love the whole new twist on Greek Mythology! Both books hold a great story and more than a simple romance. There is suspense and intrigue to keep you on the edge of your seat! They were wonderfully paced and had delightful stories.

The characters were engaging and very loveable! I really enjoyed Aura and Dane. They were a really sexy sweet couple. I was totally entranced by their story. I wasn't ready for it to end.Such a great mystery!!

More sweet mainstream romance than steamy erotica. Even though I usually tend more to the steam I was happy to see such a great story and did not miss all the detailed sex.

This is a terrific series with a new twist on paranormal/mythology. Not much on the market using nymphs, so this was a real treat. Danica Winters is definitely being added to my authors to watch list!! Can't wait to see more of this series!!

I'll start by saying that I got this from the author to review. I was slightly skeptical just based on the cover because I thought it looked like your typical Harlequin-esque romance novel. I then read the synopsis on amazon and realized that I was wrong. Yes, this IS a romance novel and it is a real life setting instead of a fantasy world, but this is not a typical romance novel. The lead female character is a nymph who can shapeshift and seduce men, but the a curse exists that will kill any man that is loved by a nymph. I immediately thought this was an interesting idea and not something that I read before. The book also has a mystery in the plot that kept me guessing and wondering what would happen. I watch lots of crime dramas and I never once figured this book out before the plot points were revealed. I enjoyed actually being surprised! My mom enjoys romances and paranormal books, so I recommended this to her because it is a great combination of two genres. Even though I was skeptical in the beginning, I'm glad I ended up giving this a chance!
