★★★★★! Accept, part 3 of 3. Acceptance of their past & present, but more hurdles to overcome for Damon & Jo!

“I pause at the door and take a moment to breathe in the sight of him. He’s watching me watch him and the air between is grows heady and thick all at once.”

These novellas should be read in order:
Part 1: Wreck Me
Part 2: Restore Me
Part 3: Accept Me

In Wrecked, part 1-2 Josephine Geroux, Jo, who didn’t believe in relationships after her parents’ deaths in a car collision that

I Have never given a 2 Star rating before.
NEVER !!!!

If I don't like a book that much, I don't rate it. I don't mark as read I just move on.
However, this year I promised myself that if I was going to be TOTALLY 100% honest in those types of reviews. SO if I really hated it I'm still gonna tell ya why.

We go from an epic and I mean Epic read with the first book Wreck Me. I loved it rated it 4.5 starts couldn't get enough. besides the cliffhanger! lol

This was a quick read, and I am not happy about that at all. This book was an effing novella, at best, but read more like an epilogue or something. I am so disappointed in this book, I felt like there was so much internal dialogue in this, not as much character interaction or dialogue. We barely saw Damon, and when we did, he was mostly being a cold, asshat. Jo didn't seem like herself, even if there ultimately was a reason. I missed the hard-nosed, takes no shit chick we met in book one. She se ...more

I'm going to be brutally honest here... this is not what I was expecting at all. Nothing like the first two books... even the characters felt different. It was the strangest experience for me. Like I knew who was who and what went for what, but it felt more like an out-of-body experience where I was reading about them through someone else (& not the author's) eyes. It sounds crazy, I know... but I kept wondering if J.L. Mac actually wrote this book herself. My first thought when I got to 30% ...more

Really disappointed in this "book". First off, it was more of a novella than anything. Second, for the majority it just summarized the first two books. And the "twists"? were SO obvious it was so anti-clamatic when the climax came and went. Not what I had hoped for in the final installment. The first book was great and showed a lot of promise. The second was a bit limp, and this book was just blah. Not sure if I'll be buying from this author in the future if this is what we can expect from her. ...more

Okayyyyy omg I'm 11% into this and I was so excited to start it but I'm already annoyed.
So I've re read Wreck Me And Restore Me so everything is still FRESH in my mind
1st thing which was annoying the first chapter Jo States it's been three weeks since he proposed to me
Then the next page says it's been a week. Hmm I'm confused
Then the 2nd thing is Jo says I haven't told Damon that Grams And Elise know about the Abuse by his father
Hmmm I just finished reading Restore Me and YES she did. Damon

Way too short.
Waited a whole year for an ending that should have either been in book two or just combined all 3 books into one novel. Greedy is what this trilogy reminds me of.
Loved the first book!!! But I'm so disappointed in the lack of substance in the final novella.

From the very beginning of this series J.L. Mac has shocked me, stunned me speechless, shattered my heart (and made it whole again, don't worry) and most importantly, she has always kept me guessing with what's to come. Accept Me is no different. In the conclusion to Damon and Jo's story, and I apologize in advance if this review sounds vague but the Wrecked Series truly is one that you need to experience for yourself. It's easy to spoil without even realizing it. As we know from the end of Rest ...more

'Wreck Me' and 'Restore me' were excellent books, so I couldn't wait to read 'Accept Me'. Everything had been set up for this to be a cracking finale. The secrets and revelations were bound to lead to consequences for everyone. What I will say is if you have read WM and RM then yes, this does conclude matters.

But.... Yes there is a huge 'but', because whilst it has some emotion, although nothing on the scale of the previous books, it lacks structure; it felt rushed and skipped forward in time to

I was given a ARC for a honest review.

We start off where the story left off in Restore Me. Lots of stuff goes down this time around. We know many secrets Jo is keeping. In a lot of ways her and Noni are the same and you will learn why in Accept Me. Again you can tell lots of stuff that is going to happen, some stuff you never would expect! there was some twists even myself did not see coming and I was very shocked. Grams I simply love and adore, she cracks me up. Damon I LOVE, but he got on my n

I'm a bit torn on giving it only 3 stars, though I love Jo and Damien and I laughed and cried through this book as well, I was a little disappointed that for one Jo didn't fight harder to keep him...and then after all he did, all the hurt even if for a good reason she forgave pretty quickly. Plus I thought the ending was a little rushed and I wanted more happy...please say the next book has them in it too and not just a little here and there. Of course it was still worth reading and I recommend ...more

This book was meh! I liked the first two books in this series but I struggled with this one. Very disappointed that Damon was not featured more as he is the best part of the series. I was annoyed by Jo, Nonni, Grams etc....I wanted more Damon.

I’m left disappointed in this series. And it’s a shame because I was a huge supporter of the 2 other books in this trilogy (sure let’s call it a trilogy, because that is what the author and publisher want us to call it). I feel awful giving this book a bad review, because I feel like I’m being rude to the author. She wrote her “heart & soul” into this book and to be honest, it wasn’t all that. Sorry dude! Here are my hang ups, which seem to be right on with others who were looking

J L Mac is a favorite author of mine and I love this series. I love the characters she created, the emotions that she can draw out of you and her writing style. If a book can have me laughing out loud, enjoying what's going, crying and on the edge of my seat with anticipation, all within a very short time span, then that to me, is a good book, I don't care how short it is!! Did I want more? HELL YEAH! Am I happy with the way it ended? Absolutely!

With that being said, if you have not read the fir

This is a hard book to rate without giving everything away. So my apologies if this is brief as I fully believe you should read this series in its entirety to get the full affect.

J.L Mac captured my attention with Wreck Me where we met Damon and Jo, learned about their tragic past and how they were connected though not realizing it. I fell in love with this couple. The dominating caveman style love that Damon had for his lady and Jo's attraction and undying love for her "Big Man." Resto

I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been for Accept Me since reading Wreck Me and Restore Me in a power session last year. I have been chomping at the bit for what seems like forever! I found when picking up Accept Me, I needed to revisit the end of Restore Me as it had been some time and I’d definitely recommend doing that before jumping in.

With such high anticipation, I will say I found Accept Me did not fully meet what expectations I had. I had some issues with consistency between book

Finally, the long awaited conclusion to Jo and Damon's story! This is a short read, but this story is packed with angst, secrets, and many twists and turns. Accept Me picks up right where Restore Me left off. After the shocking revelation that Noni left us with in Restore Me, we finally get her side of the story and it is a heartbreaking one so grab your tissues! I was captivated by Noni's story, and loved this woman for all that she had been through and survived. Noni and the other secondary ch ...more

Before I even started this book I had some pretty big lingering questions about what the hell has already been written about these characters. My biggest question revolves around Noni (really stupid name, by the way, only Grandmothers can/should be called this). Anyway, what I hope to be addressed in this book is: 1) Why the eff was Noni staring at her son lustfully every time Jo had brought him into the Diner? and 2) Why the eff does Noni not recognize her son, or if she does, why does she act ...more

Damon still has it going on, "Damon already showered and dressed, or shall I say undressed, for bed. He's lying across our mammoth bed in nothing but those yummy little trunk underwear. They hug and hold tight to every delicious curve of his...assets." And he's still bossy but he gives Jo choices on certain things, "are you going to tell me what's wrong or should I just eff it out of you?" Some circumstances have come up, personally Damon's choice on how to handle it I thought was dumb and stupi ...more

Sigh... while I enjoyed book 1 and 2, esp book 1, book three was too formulaic. I would have rather had a HEA in an Epilogue in book 2. If you haven't read a lot of Adult Contemporary Romance you may not have encountered this tired formula. If you want to know what I mean...keep reading...

5 beautifully heartbreaking STARS! I was so excited to jump back into Jo and Damon. I couldn't wait to be with the tough ass Jo, sexy caveman Damon and the fire cracker herself, Grams! This book was a beautiful, heartbreaking, soul shattering and un-breakable tale of love. As usual JL had me hooked from the beginning! I was ready for their HEA and then my heart was ripped out and shredded it to a million pieces. This was an emotionally gripping story that had me captured from book one! It Wrecke ...more
