I had such an enjoyable time reading this book. I want to read it again and again. I love Brady. Who knew that bats just wanted to have fun too. When I read the title for this book I was expecting Brady to find a nightlight in the form of a flashlight. I did not imagine that he would find something better in fireflies. What a fun and creative way to make a nightlight. Of course I would not recommend capturing a bunch of fireflies as you will harm them and then they would not shine as bright. ...more

Delightful book! My boys sleep with a nightlight, and could relate to Brady.
They chuckled and loved this story. They also learned a bit about bats, living in caves. They thought Brady was ingenious in solving his problem. In fact they can't wait for next July to see if they could hold a firefly, and how much light they could get.
I highly recommend this, what a great, sweet read for children!!

I received this book through TLC Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.

This book is phenomenal!! My kids are really scared of the dark. After reading tgis book (5times in a row might i add) they fell asleep without the usual fight! They pretend to be brady and fell asleep! The illustration is awesome so colorful. Kept my kids entertained the whole book. Plus it teaches them something. I cant wait to see what else this author has to offer!!! This is a must read for all

This was an adorable book with fantastic illustrations. The way that Brady's fear of the dark is alleviated is heartwarmingly creative. The fireflies were hands down my favorite part.

I would recommend this book to anyone with young children, teachers, grandparents and daycare providers. It appears to be part of a larger series of books and I am greatly looking forward to the next one!

This book is cute, but I give minus four for readability. It apparently isn't possible to enlarge the pages of this book on the Kindle app on my phone, so the tiny text is close to impossible to read. I recommend this only for larger screens or better eyes.

Brady is a bat who lives deep in the forest inside a cave. Most of his bat friends delight in hanging upside down in the cave all day, but Brady is different because he would rather be awake and play outside. In fact, he is really scared of the dark. He fears the noise of the crickets, the howls of the coyotes, and screeches of owls. But there is one kind of creature of the night that he finds appealing; one night Brady convinces them to come play with him. They help Brady learn that he has ...more

Very cute little story about a most unlikely partnership! Brady is a young bat, so he used be used to the dark--after all, he sleeps in a cave! But Brady is not like the other bats; he really hates the dark and is afraid to go to sleep in the cave. He is feeling very sad until he finds bright friends to help him light the way!

The rhyming scheme was nice and kept my child's attention, though the book was a bit long for bedtime. I had never seen a story about a bat before, and I liked that this
