Worshiping God is one of the believer s highest callings. Music and song have been a timeless way to glorify God throughout history. Scripture itself is full of musical and poetic praises dedicated to the Lord. Using a unique combination of songs and reflections, the NIV Worship Together Bible blends modern-day worship and culture with the beloved Word of God. This Bible helps you embrace God as your loving Father and shows you how to exalt him through song and reflection. The musical inspiration in this Bible will remind you of the importance of constantly striving to be Christlike. As Pastor Jack Hayford, the author of the song Majesty, once put it: Worship changes the worshiper into the image of the One worshiped. Features: * The complete text of the world s most popular modern-English Bible, the NIV* Lyrics to the top 50 worship songs * Song notes and reflections from the songwriters* Simple chord charts for the Top 20 worship songs* Essay that explores the purpose and history of worship music * Foreword by Matt Maher* Index to organize songs by scriptural reference"

Are you a worship leader who wants to know how the songs we sing in church correlate with Scripture? Do you enjoy learning the history behind popular worship songs? Are you looking for a resource that will help you to integrate worship music into your devotional time?
If worship is a priority in your life, then the NIV Worship Together Bible is written for you!
The NIV Worship Together Bible – Discover Scripture Through Classic & Contemporary Music is designed to help you integrate Scripture and worship in your daily life. Features of this Special Edition Bible include:
* The complete NIV Bible text(updated from the original NIV and TNIV texts) * Lyrics to the Top 50 Worship Songs * Song Notes And Reflections from the Songwriters * Simple Chord Charts for 20 Popular Worship Songs * An Essay That Explores the Purpose and History of Worship Music * An Index of Songs by Scriptural Reference
There are several things that I like about this Bible:
* I found the “Behind The Song” stories and the personal reflection questions interesting.
* I enjoyed the mix of worship songs.
* I appreciated the convenience of having the chord charts to 20 popular worship songs in the back of the Bible. This can be especially helpful for impromptu worship periods during a Bible study or small group gathering!
* I liked associating worship songs with specific scriptures!
As much as I like the convenience of having these worship resources integrated into my Bible, however, I was disappointed that the NIV Worship Together Bible lacks any additional study tools.
Therefore, my overall assessment is that the NIV Worship Together Bible is best used as a resource Bible by worship and ministry leaders. Most others – particularly people picking a primary Bible – would be better served by a more comprehensive study Bible.

The NIV Worship Together Bible is a wonderful resource and study tool that I plan to use for many years to come. The Bible is a great size, is hardback, and included the entire Bible text in the New International Standard Version. Some of its features include the lyrics to the top 50 worship songs, the chords for the top 20 songs, and notes, history, and reflections of classic songs and hymns and their writers from the past several centuries. This Bible also has an essay exploring the purpose and history of worship music as well as a foreword by Matt Maher and song index according to scriptural reference.
I loved the way the NIV Worship Bible includes music, songs, and the songs' history in an integral way with the Scripture. It is a great way to learn more about the worship songs we sing and grasp how they have been founded on Biblical truth. I enjoyed using the chord sheets to play and sing many worship songs, and the resource of the lyrics from 50 worship songs was great to have available all in one location. Overall, I have loved this Bible so far, and I look forward to using it often in the future.

The NIV Worship Together Bible combines the text of the NIV Bible with song lyrics, stories from the songwriters, and even chord charts to twenty worship songs in the back. The copy I received for review was the hardcover version, which was reasonably appointed, okay binding, and a nice light blue colored font for the text of the Scriptures. The Bible was very easy to read, even with a lighter color font, and the addition of the song lyrics and stories offered a nice devotional element to Bible. Since most of the songs are ones that anyone would know, the stories behind them offered a great wealth of information and encouragement, in addition to specific Scripture references related to each song.
Above and beyond the few features and additions mentioned, this is still your standard NIV Bible, albeit without the red letters many may be accustomed to reading. For me, this did not hinder my ability to use the Bible, and I still find it a very user friendly version that would make a nice addition to your collection of Bibles, or work as a nice gift for your worship musician, worship leader and music ministry friends.

This is a Bible marketed for worship leaders and worship music lovers. It has song stories of 50 worship songs which are related to specific biblical passages. There are chords and lyrics included for 20 popular worship songs at the end.
I don't think there is anything wrong with this Bible, but I was expecting more and hoped that the reflections would go a bit deeper.
