The story was simple, not very unique or great . . .. but yet I liked it very very much! I really don't know the reason why I it felt so good flipping through this one.
For one, this story is filled with fun-riots, from ব্যাঙাচি, to the inspector to the army-man, to Yakub, to Mek-chandar Miya, to Choku, to BulBul, to Tamanna, to Fatima-Khala, to our hero-Himu, as if eveyone is competing each other to the GREAT LAUGHTER CHALLENGE. The conversations are light and easy-going, yet so full of apt and precise comic timings. At times, it looked like a Comedy Serial script. Yet it also discusses very serious issues like Corruption, Rape, Social Crimes and the luxurious and often stray lives that rich people lives(or like to live). It also focuses on the unwanted and bogus services that one has to do upon the wishes of one's employer, that has no significance and are just whims, how some people are made puppets to others hand and how bit by bit morals of human-beings are degraded. There are also some threads left-out in this story, like why was Yakub given such a large amount of money?
But the ending really left me a great-deal with satisfaction. It felt like I was also celebrating the delicacy of astonishing moonlight with ব্যাঙাচি and হিমু. May be there will be a time, when I would give this novel a less STAR. But for now, for what it has me left with, I would like to leave it with 5 STARS. . . . .. :) Recommended for a GREAT READ, if you want one! Roll on the floor, on Reading, with Laughterrrr! O:) :)
