My god, was this worth the wait! I just knew Jackson was going to steal my heart and he didn't disappoint! I can't wait to read more about one of my favorite rocker crews! Such a great read.

Jackson Shaw is a broken man, the woman he loved; Laney cheated and took his heart while she crushed him. So it's been parties and lots of women for him. His latest is a model, Kristyna, who enjoys cocaine and threesomes. Jackson is quickly acquiring a taste for the same.
There's no way another f*#king woman is going to own my heart and soul. Not again. I'm not some fool who will let the same shit happen to me twice.
As the guitarist for The Forgotten, he is offered to judge a reality singing show, Hidden Talent; he thinks it's just what he needs to get out of Seattle and spend some time in LA. He has friends there and he wouldn't mind getting away from Kristyna; the too much to handle model he's been seeing.
One of the first places they visit is a burlesque club Lux Hedonica. The moment Jackson makes eye contact with Liza Campbell; he feels something come over him. Liza is a single mom of a 9 year old boy, Lucas.
"You're my Helen of Troy. The face I would launch a full-scale attack to possess."
"You are my sobriety."
Having gotten pregnant at 15 and thrown out by her parents, she is fiercely independent. Her aunt Charlene and her cousin Sid were her rocks but she needed a change and moved out to LA to pursue her singing dreams. But like thousands before her, her dreams didn't amount to what she hoped for and so she’s been singing at Lux H for years in skimpy outfits. Some of her son's friends' parents are outraged by what she does for a living, but she isn't. She doesn't take off all her clothes, she's no prostitute and the money gives her a chance to support her son. Her brother Kelvin ended up moving in with her also, so she is raising two kids. She wants him to go to college after he graduates this year, but he wants to get a job and help support the family.
Liza's son and brother went behind her back and entered into the singing contest show. She's not happy about it, but maybe something will come of it. What a coincidence-the woman Jackson wants is one of the contestants on the show. But there is lots of drama in store for these two-nosey paparazzi, scheming ex's, substance abuse issues, you name it and it's in this story!
"Liza, this person..." She glances to Jackson's prone form. "This isn't Jackson." Looking back into my eyes, I see determination.
"But I hope he's still in there."
Jackson wasn't one of my favorite characters in the first few books. I am partial to Mia and Christopher, and having them in this book is such a bonus. But Jackson proved he can more than carry his own story line. He is a good guy who fell into some destructive habits while trying to hold back the pain after Laney really did a number on him. He has grown as as result of the self medicating he did and his self destructive behavior.
Liza is a great character-independent, smart, uber talented, nurturing-too many qualities to name. She has so much love to give and she finds herself in the position of making a difference in another child's life. This would make for quite the ready made family-Jackson may want her but is he ready to play happy families and make that kind of commitment? Guess you will have to read HITS and see for yourself.

I received an ARC for a honest review. Where do I start...oh yeah this book rocks!!! Who doesn't love a book with sex, drugs and rock n roll?!? But that's not all its about. Jackson, the tall, sexy lead guitarist for The Forgotten, goes through so much through out this book. Leading the stereotypical rock star life, sex, drugs, music and of scandals. Can one person turn his life around? He meets his "Snake Charmer" Liza who is a phenomenal singer at a burlesque club in LA. Single mom going through her own problems in life. I loved the storyline, it's not your typical rock star romance...it's so much more to it! The song Jackson and Chris sing for Liz's will melt your heart. Did I mention it's also hilarious, Liza's cousin Sid will have you rolling on the floor laughing!!! Sadie really has a talent to bring humor to her books, and that's what I love most about her! Did I also mention Sadie knows how to write some pretty steamy sex scenes!*Fans self* I highly recommend HITS and Sadie Grubor's other books!

I have totally fallen into the trap of author Sadie Grubor! She writes some amazing stories that have grabbed my attention and just won't let it go!! The characters are well written, relatable, swoon worthy and fun! The plot flows so quickly that you don't realize that you have been reading non-stop for hours at a time and getting nothing done IRL (In Real Life). The book is just an all consuming thing that grabs you up and doesn't let you go! I am already looking for my next fix!

I have a love hate relationship with Sadie Grubor.
The love -
I fucking love her style of writing, the characters, the story, the angst and everything in between.
I loved Jackson, from the first Falling Stars novel to interstellar to H.I.T.S. There was never a moment when he annoyed me, and i get easily annoyed. He was a genuine soul and I loved him.
Eliza was just lovable -Strong independent single mum with a heart of gold. I thought Lucas and Sean were super cute, liked Kel too but the surprise was Sid, i fucking loved her i literally laughed out loud at her antics, the husband thought i was going mad! Waited a long time for this book and it was worth the wait. I actually feel like reading it again. I cant ever get enough of Sadie's books and her writing. I always wonder whats going on in her head when i read her books because its just....gripping stuff! i always feel like i dont do her books justice when i do a review. i seem to get all stupid and cant think of the right words to use to describe how taken i am by her books. The bit about Gwen hit me hard as i have someone close to me going through the same thing and had the same reaction Gwen had by not saying anything about her situation and i reacted the same as Jackson - minus the coke thing, so it was nice reading that and made me feel like a bit of a prick. never the less, i loved it all of it.
The hate:
Everytime i read her books i get no sleep because i cant put this shit down. not only that i always end up pregnant, third time now Grubor, you owe me child support bitch. thankfully i gave the husband a home made vasectomy with a butter knife so its all good!
I get depressed when i finish her books cos its always takes so long for another one to come out and kept thinking "There better be a Sid an Xavier book coming out soon" and thank fuck there will be. I can sleep easily tonight....just tonight though!
The thing i appreciate most about this author is she doesnt fuck around with her fans, she delivers when she says she would and its always always amazing work. Not only that but she greets every new member personally to her facebook page and constantly keeps fans in the know. You get so many authors these days who have one hit and is suddenly to big for their boots, not Sadie Grubor.
This book and all her previous works of wonder are definitely worth reading. Would always recommend anything from Sadie Grubor.
Ok now i need a very tall glass of wine.

Christopher Mason is one of my all time favorite rockers and this series is just greatness! I feel like I waited forever to read Jackson's story and it kind of fell off my radar after a while. When I came across the book and dove in, I fell right back in love with the author's writing and the amazing characters she creates. That doesn't happen very often... I read a lot that sometimes remembering the characters/situations is a bit foggy, but not this one!! I remember how my heart broke for Jackson Shaw after reading Chris and Mia's book and then novella. I have to say, I'm so pleased with how life turned out for Jackson. He and Liza are a wonderful couple with outrageous chemistry!
Their story was hot, yet heartfelt with some angst and craziness thrown in there! It definitely kept me on my toes. I can't wait to read more of this series with Liza's cousin Sid's story coming next. I just know her and Xavier are going to be explosive!! This is one rocker series that will always be my top favorite!!!

Sadie writes with an edge and her main characters never disappoint. In fact, you fall in love with the rather large rocker Jackson in this book. His love has been spurned by Laney a follow on from the previous book and you read about the captivating love that grows between him and Liza, a burlesque performer who has the voice of an angel. Embrace the life of a rock star, a mother who just wants to do right and the potty mouthed best friend. You won't be disappointed by the story that unfolds. Sadie touches on illnesses with sensitivity and I feel the maturity of her writing has made this book one of her best! Way to go Sadie! You rock! X

After an embarrassing and very public breakup with his long time girlfriend Laney, rock star Jackson Shaw of The Forgotten has become the very image of a Rock Star cliché. He is drinking too much, having way too much sex with multiple partners and has started doing a lot of cocaine. When he’s asked to go out to Los Angeles to judge a new reality show called Hidden Talent, he agrees–if only to get away from the mournful faces of his bandmates and friends who don’t know what to say or how to help.
Eliza Campbell is a young, single mom raising her son Lucas and her brother Kelvin. She’s been on her own for years after getting pregnant in her teens and getting disowned by her parents. Her aunt and cousin took her in, but once Lucas was born she moved out to Los Angeles to try to fulfill some of her dreams. It’s been tough, but Lucas has always been a priority and she’s been able to realize a bit of her dream by performing nights at a club called Lux Hedonica where she dons skimpy costumes in a very tasteful Burlesque show.
But Eliza’s orderly world is about to get turned upside down when the club she works at gets sold and she meets a sinfully gorgeous tattooed rock star who she can’t help but break her rules for.
Jackson Shaw is a very predictable rock star type character. He’s gorgeous, in a popular rock band, and can have any girl or girls he wants; but underneath all that he is a man who was in love with a woman who he thought was “the one”. He’s so broken up, he has gone off the deep end-drinking, using cocaine and finding empty comfort with any female who offers. He’s a mess and doesn’t realize how bad it really is. While in a club one night, with his current female flavor, super model Kristyna, he has a moment of clarity and realizes he doesn’t want this, or more importantly, he doesn’t want her.
I really liked Jackson in this story. Yes, his character is very much the cocky self-assured rock star, but there are hints of the man underneath that persona from the beginning. We see this in scenes where he’s with his band mates and their girlfriends and you immediately sense the loss he feels from his recent break up. He truly wants for himself that deep, intense, connection with someone. The rock star is who he is when he’s on stage or in front of cameras, but deep down he is a man who wants to be in love and wants to be loved back.
When Jackson visits the club where Eliza works, he is completely and utterly spellbound first by her voice and then by Eliza herself. He wastes no time making sure Eliza knows he’s interested, but she doesn’t have room in her life for a man and certainly not someone like Jackson Shaw. But she’s weak, and he’s so freaking hot, and it’s been a really long time since she’s been touched by a man, so she breaks all her rules for one night with Jackson Shaw.
Following that incredible night, Eliza and Jackson go through the very predictable and typical scenario that you might expect when getting involved with a celebrity like Jackson. There are rumors and paparazzi and Eliza goes through all the fears that a woman feels when she realizes that she has some strong feelings for someone who might not be right for her. Further complicating things is Jackson’s drug use, the sale of the club and the fact that Jackson will not stay away from Eliza, making it difficult for her to stick to her guns. She doesn’t want the bad parts of Jackson’s celebrity touching her son.
Adding to the relationship woes are two side stories; one where Jackson and Eliza have a stalker hell-bent on ruining the fragile beginnings of their love and the fact that Eliza’s brother and son have secretly sent in an audition tape of Eliza singing to the Hidden Talent show–of which Eliza becomes a finalist. Both these scenarios are running real time to the romance part of the story. They serve to move the story forward and provide avenues to secure the relationship in a really positive way.
While predictable (sorry I’m using the word a lot), I really enjoyed how the author weaves this story to show all the ups and downs, strong emotions and vulnerability of our characters. It comes across true and real and I could really feel Jackson’s want and need of what he knew he could have with Eliza. He’s willing to fight for it, lay his heart out and hope that it’s doesn’t get stomped on. The additional relationships between the band and their friends as well as Eliza’s close relationships with her co-workers at the club and especially her cousin Sid made this story really come to life for me. It read very smoothly; as if I was watching a movie–the scenes moving effortlessly from one to the other.
I felt the author did a fantastic job of showing us the human side behind the celebrity. While we know that celebrities are just “people” like the rest of us–they eat, sleep, shower, shop, deal with illness and addiction, etc., but once you’re in the eye of the public it’s easy to put celebrities on a different level and forget these things. They have feelings, emotions, trials and tribulations and yes, often these are plastered for all the world to see. It doesn’t mean that they are affected any less than that of a non-celebrity. This story covered all the bases in a realistic way.
Before ending, I need to highlight a secondary character, Sid, who is Eliza’s cousin. She plays a major role in here in helping Eliza to trust herself and her feelings–providing all kinds of support. Sid is hilarious and brings much in the way of humor to the story. She’s also extremely intelligent and a total badass with anything to do with a computer. She catches the eye of another rock star and I hope the author plans to write their story. It promises to be a wild ride.

While we know that celebrities are just “people” like the rest of us–they eat, sleep, shower, shop, deal with illness and addiction, etc., but once you’re in the eye of the public it’s easy to put celebrities on a different level and forget these things. They have feelings, emotions, trials and tribulations and yes, often these are plastered for all the world to see. It doesn’t mean that they are affected any less than that of a non-celebrity. This story covered all the bases in a realistic way.
Before ending, I need to highlight a secondary character, Sid, who is Eliza’s cousin. She plays a major role in here in helping Eliza to trust herself and her feelings–providing all kinds of support. Sid is hilarious and brings much in the way of humor to the story. She’s also extremely intelligent and a total badass with anything to do with a computer. She catches the eye of another rock star and I hope the author plans to write their story. It promises to be a wild ride.
Jackson and Eliza’s story is not really unique, and the struggles they face–him being a rock star and Liza working in a burlesque club–are predictable, but this story pulled me in and I was thoroughly captivated.

I thought this was ok. Not my favorite in the series so far but it will not stop me from reading on with this crazy bunch. I liked the storyline but just didn't love the relationship with Jackson and Liza. Just didn't feel it or her. I actually found her annoying especially with the Julia thing. I felt it was totally uncalled for. Anyway I love the banter with this group its hilarious when they are all together. Looking forward to reading more from Mia and Christopher next and then Sid and Xavier.

4.5 Stars!!!!
I loved Fallen Stars. It is one of the rock star books I always go back to. HiTS has matched it. It’s been FOREVER since Fallen Stars had been out and I was patiently waiting for Sadie’s next rock star drug. I was so excited to start Jackson’s story. You could read this as a stand-alone but I would beg you read FS first.
Although, Jackson's story wasn’t as deep connected, as Chris and Mia’s, Jackson and Liza has that quick attraction/lust connection but with the heartache of what Laney did to Jackson the pull of Liza for Jackson wasn’t something he was looking for. Her almost normal life is a struggle for her. She does what she has to do to take care of her family and here come this drug-snorting-rock-star who has an extremely public life. His life is full of the historic rock star definition. When she finds out the exact extent of his rock star tendencies she pulls back. She doesn’t give it a second thought. His explosive string is not one she wants to pull on.
“You’re like a razorblade, Jackson. And I’m not thick-skinned enough to survive you.”
I loved the first half. How attracted they were to each other. I loved the shift of the second half.
"I know what you do for a living and it's equally hot, mesmerizing, and amazing. So just get that shit out of your head right now. I met you in that club and sure as fuck don't deserve you if I demanded you quit. Baby, I don't give any fucks about the role you play on stage. Want to know why?"
"No, I don't want to know."
"Yes, you do. It's because your mine and your ass will be in my bed after the show. In fact, your ass will be mine in your dressing room, backseat of a car, elevators, hotel rooms, and any damn where else I can get in you.

I also liked how Liza thought about things. I really adore their relationship. Them, her brother, her...family. Best of all of loved Sid!!!

This was a great book I love Liza and Jack together they are definitely my favorite couple from the series.
Liza and Jake was one of those characters that deserve a happily ever after romance. They got that in the end but they had a lot of bumpy road and a lot of back-and-forth to get there forever love.
On a side note, Before I new there was going to be a Jack book I was really scared that Jack was going to get back with Laney I wouldn't have read that book. I didn't like her in the first book and didn't like her in this book. I'm really glad that she wasn't in a lot of the book because that would've sucked.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and most of the characters. And I really love Liza and Jake has a character and also together.

Jackson and Eliza's story was perfect. We first met Jackson in Falling Stars. He was a happy go lucky huge personality....all that has changed. He is in LA for 10 weeks when he meets Eliza and is smitten. Eliza, of course, has her own struggles and backstory and is just trying to make a life for herself. Jackson and Eliza collide and the fallout is both beautiful and ugly. A wonderfully believable story filled with heartbreak and angst.
I wouldn't want to spoil anything for new readers so no details. What is really special about Sadie Gruber's writing is that she manages to create not only great main characters but also fantastic supporting characters. Usually BFs are over the top, overbearing and nosy. Eliza's BF Sid, is funny, sarcastic (without being bitchy), the voice of reason and the calming force when Eliza needs it. I am thrilled she is getting her own book. Eliza's younger brother Kelvin and Jackson's PA, Julia, are two other examples of well written supporting characters. I LOVED Hidden in the Stars! It could be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the previous ones first since they're just as good. It was very funny, I even found myself cracking up on numerous occasions. I liked the new characters brought in and was very happy to see the gang from the previous books. I also enjoy that most of Sadie's books have children as main characters. Those are my favorite to read to see the characters interacting with them just melts my heart. I may even love Jackson more than Chris now. I'm really looking forward to reading more in this series.

Chris and Mia's story had me so wrapped up, I had to go back and reread them all before indulging in this. I knew it wasn't going to be enough..I need more Grubor. I adored Jackson more than I thought I would. The good rock brother w/ his bad side. and a hint of my insane Christopher! This was totally worth the long wait but how the hell am I to manage waiting for the next one?

I approach new-to-me authors and rock star romances cautiously. And when I say “cautiously,” I mean scared-little-bunny-eyeing-a-hungry-wolf levels of CAUTION. I’ve been let down too many times by new-to-me authors to count, and whenever I read about rock stars who do drugs and bang tons of nameless groupies falling in love, all I can think is, oh my God, he probably has gonorrhea, syphilis, and who-knows-what other STDs and he’s going to give all of them to that poor, trusting heroine. (*Shudders*) But when the author asked if I wanted to give this book a read, her note was so funny and sweet and compelling that I HAD to give the book a chance. And I’m really glad I kept an open mind and didn’t fall prey to my usual prejudices, because Hidden in the Stars was A LOT of fun.
First and foremost, yes, this book is part of a series, but it stands alone nicely, so don’t assume you’ll need to go back and read the previous book to keep up. I mean, you definitely CAN go back and read it, but you don’t HAVE to, which is nice. Stand alone reads that are also part of a series are kinda rare and I give the author props for pulling that off so seamlessly.
And with that out of the way, here’s what I LOVED:
1. Liza is a great heroine. She’s a hardworking single mom who never fails to put her kids needs first. And she doesn’t bitch and moan about it, either. There’s no “oh, woe is me” crap and “what might have been” musings from Liza. No way. She takes her life in stride and does what she needs to do to get by. I totally dig that about her.
2. There’s also no slut shaming or body shaming in this book. Liza sees Jackson, wants Jackson, takes Jackson. No angsty morning-after “I’m such a slut” ramblings. She’s also a curvy girl who doesn’t feel self-conscious about her size or wish she was smaller. She’s happy with her body as it is (as she should be). That doesn’t happen in NEARLY enough books, in my opinion.
3. The supporting cast of characters is FABULOUS. When the bands all get together, there are some truly laugh-out-loud pieces of dialogue and interactions that I totally enjoyed.
4. I’m not lumping Sid in as a supporting character because I loved her too much for that. She’s a force of nature. Hilarious, smart, fiercely protective of her friends, but still showing little hints of vulnerability here and there, Sid is a character to be reckoned with. I’ll totally read her story.
5. The author’s writing style is super engaging. It really draws you in and makes you feel like you’re part of the story.
But, no read is perfect. So, here’s what I didn’t love:
1. In the beginning of the book, Jackson is a mess. He’s a sloppy addict who treats Liza like crap after a stupid misunderstanding leaves him thinking she’s married. I pretty much wanted her to knee him in the nuts and tell him to eff off. The only reason I kept reading was that I was truly enjoying the author’s writing style at this point in the book, and I understood that as an addict, certain aspects of Jackson’s personality (all the crap I hated about him) were probably drug-induced, or at the very least, drug influenced. No spoilers, but he is eventually redeemed.
2. I’m no prude, but I don’t think unprotected sex has a place in romance novels. ESPECIALLY when one of the characters is a rock star who has banged multiple randoms while snorting coke off a supermodel’s boobs. It only happened once in this story, and it wasn’t an intentional decision not to use protection, but hell, if it’d been me, I’m not sure I would’ve touched Jackson without insisting on a thorough disease screening and a full-body condom. But maybe that’s just my own personal rock star prejudice (see above).
3. I don’t claim to be any kind of expert, but Jackson’s recovery seemed awfully easy. I certainly wouldn’t want the author to spend tons of time detailing every little symptom of his withdrawal and struggle to get clean, but a little more info probably would’ve been good in this case. Maybe an extra chapter or something? A short one?
I will warn you that there’s instalove in this story. It’s not a deal-breaker for me personally. I don’t find the concept of instalove any less believable than, say, vampires and werewolves, and I still read about those. But if you’re the kind of reader who can’t handle instalove, this one probably isn’t for you. (It’s your loss, though.)
And for all the grammar Nazis out there (and you know who you are), yes, there are a few misused words here and there. (Just a few. Nothing that hurt my enjoyment of the story.) But I dare any of you to find a book that is 100% error free. Editors are human. Mistakes happen. I encourage all grammar Nazis to ease up a bit and try to just enjoy the story. No one asked you to proofread the damn thing, after all.
All that being said, the author has created a fun world and a super-interesting cast of characters that I wouldn’t mind revisiting. Go ahead and one-click this one, folks. My guess is you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

This book was SO WORTH THE FREAKING WAIT
Time to meet our MC’s….

Dealing with the aftermath of Laney cheating on him, Jackson is beaten down and broken isn’t a pretty sight. So what’s a rock star to do? Well party and have sex with a ton of beautiful women. He becomes careless, especially when he meets bitch-model Kristyna. who kindly introduced him to cocaine, which quickly becomes a problem for him. Let’s just say his drug use, drinking and sexual escapades are making nice headlines for the tabloids, which in turn isn’t helping with the bands image. His life is spinning out of control all because of his broken heart. He vows to NEVER give his heart away again.
A reality TV show called Hidden Talent has asked Jackson to be a judge on the show. Taking the opportunity to escape the memories he has of Laney in Seattle and the crazy coke head Kristyna. He decides LA is the perfect escape.
Liza- single mother, amazing dancer/singer
Liza hasn’t had an easy life. Her parents kicked her out at 15 when she ended up pregnant. She stayed with her aunt and her cousin Sid. Liza is a burlesque dancer and she makes an okay living making. It pays for her son and her brother to have all they need and a roof over their heads. Wanting to help make his mom’s dream come true Lucas enters her into the Hidden Talent contest. Like the song says, isn’t it ironic that Jackson ends up at the club she works at and falls head over heels for Liza and she is also a contestant for the show he is judging?
We all know life is a bitch and fate loves to throw people together at the most inconvenient times.
Liza is super independent, smart, beautiful, kind and amazingly talented. She is also very nurturing and puts her son and her brother needs before he own.
I adored Jackson in Falling Stars so to get his story was awesome and painful but man, every step was worth it.
The struggles, the betrayal, the anger, the loss, the happiness and facing your demons.
Their chemistry is immediately off the charts. Jackson is determined to be with Liza, but like all relationships there are plenty bumps in the road to happiness. When you throw in a crazy ex, the paparazzi, rehab, and cousin Sid with an uncanny ability to hack things, you’ve got yourself and amazing, funny and heartbreakingly beautiful story.
Sadie did not disappoint. I couldn’t put this book down! I am addicted. I look forward to seeing the gang again in her upcoming novella Stellar Collision.

Liza- single mother, amazing dancer/singer
Liza hasn’t had an easy life. Her parents kicked her out at 15 when she ended up pregnant. She stayed with her aunt and her cousin Sid. Liza is a burlesque dancer and she makes an okay living making. It pays for her son and her brother to have all they need and a roof over their heads. Wanting to help make his mom’s dream come true Lucas enters her into the Hidden Talent contest. Like the song says, isn’t it ironic that Jackson ends up at the club she works at and falls head over heels for Liza and she is also a contestant for the show he is judging?
We all know life is a bitch and fate loves to throw people together at the most inconvenient times.
Liza is super independent, smart, beautiful, kind and amazingly talented. She is also very nurturing and puts her son and her brother needs before he own.
I adored Jackson in Falling Stars so to get his story was awesome and painful but man, every step was worth it.
The struggles, the betrayal, the anger, the loss, the happiness and facing your demons.
Their chemistry is immediately off the charts. Jackson is determined to be with Liza, but like all relationships there are plenty bumps in the road to happiness. When you throw in a crazy ex, the paparazzi, rehab, and cousin Sid with an uncanny ability to hack things, you’ve got yourself and amazing, funny and heartbreakingly beautiful story.
Sadie did not disappoint. I couldn’t put this book down! I am addicted. I look forward to seeing the gang again in her upcoming novella Stellar Collision.

5 fantastic stars – a totally addictive read
Hidden in the Stars is the follow on from Falling Stars although is written as a standalone but includes characters that you met in the first book. I’m a lover or rock star romances and this book contained everything that I have come to expect and then some. This is a heartbreaking story, smoking hot in all the right places and with the right balance between angst and romance.
Jackson is the tattooed lead guitarist for the rock band The Forgotten and has had his heart broken by his cheating ex-girlfriend, turning to women, alcohol and eventually other substances to try to help bury the hurt that is consuming him. Eliza is the independent, feisty single mum with the voice of a superstar doing her best to support her son and younger brother by dancing and singing at a burlesque club.
From the moment Jackson sees Miz Liz perform he is captivated by Liza who steps out of her ordered life to spend one night with him. I don’t think either of them are prepared for the sparks that fly and the chemistry between them which is off the charts.
There were times through the story that Jackson behaved like a complete arse and left me wanting to punch him but it didn’t stop me falling in love with the vulnerable side of his larger than life character. Liza was instantly likeable. I loved the two sides to her personality and how strong she was, fiercely protective of those she loves. The dynamics between all the characters in the book is fantastic and the potty mouthed best friend/cousin Sid had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
This is a truly fantastic read that ticked all the boxes for me and did not disappoint in anyway. I couldn’t put it down and will be eagerly waiting the next instalment in the series.

Wow just wow I loved reading this story by Sadie Grubor and on finishing Hidden in the Stars I immediately had to order the 1st book in the series. It was that good it definitely left me wanting more and I have added Sadie's name to my Author stalk list as I can't wait for the next book in the falling stars series to get here.
This book can definitely be read as a standalone so you don't need to worry if you haven read Falling stars, hidden in the Stars was my first Sadie Grubor book and I highly recommend reading both as they quite literally rock. So this book follows on from falling stars and is the story of Jackson Shaw and his falling in love with a burlesque performer Miss Liza. I don't want to give the story away but this book has it all sex, drugs, rock n roll vindictive ex's. I love the way the characters were written it was gritty and raw and no topic was shied away from.

Being famous and having your humiliation plastered all over the tabloids. Because of this, Jackson has sworn off love. His goal is to lose himself in casual sex and drugs. His opinion quickly changes when he sees and hears "Miz Liz"(aka Liza) at one of his friend's clubs.
Liza is a single mom just trying to support her family. She works at a local burlesque club as an entertainer/singer. When she first meets the infamous Jackson Shaw, she tries her best to resist his charm to no avail. Their connection is something that neither one of them can resist.
I really enjoyed this book! It is a romance filled with angst as well as a large dose of humor. I promise that Liza's cousin, Sid, will have you laughing your butt off! She and her sayings are flat out hilarious! This is a book that I would highly recommend! Kudos to Sadie Grubor for creating such a great series!

Jackson and Liza definitely are not expecting each other when they meet. He is on a downward spiral and trying to get over his betrayal by Laney. Liza is struggling to support herself, her son and brother while working in a burlesque show. Liza is not prepared for Jackson to come storming into her life and finds herself going through a lot of changes. Jackson knows he wants Liza but is definitely not in the right frame of mind and constantly hurts her feelings. Jackson has an addiction problem and that does not acknowledge, all he acknowledges is that he wants to pain to stop. When things get out of control, Liza has to step in and get him the treatment he needs. Both of them make sacrifices in order to see where things will go, but Jackson definitely does more of the work than Liza. He constantly tries to put her first, even when it goes wrong. Liza is so compartmentalized that she only reacts to things, she doesn't seek out her happiness. Add in a crazy ex and her cousin and she just about reaches her breaking point. I liked how it was all pulled together in the end and worked. Can't wait to see how Chris' plan for Mia and their wedding works out in the next installment.
