Her life is just as messed up as her name.

All she wanted was a friend---one that knew her and not her circumstances. She needed somewhere to call home. Hers was an open door for countless men looking for the services her mother offered them. She camouflaged herself against lockers and blackboards to avoid the stares and whispers at school.

And then she found Cal...and

Seeking Havok is a YA book. At times it’s light and sweet, it’s got a lot of funny in there, but it also has a some darker material (especially compared to Felix other works). Two lovable main characters, an interesting story line, an enjoyable read!

Havok’s life is as screwed up as her misspelled name, but she is used to it by now. As an almost 19 year old senior in highschool, she has been dealing with her mother’s downward spiral for years. Her mother is a stripper (who makes

Havok Jocelyn Daniels.
Doesn’t really roll off the tongue, huh?
Maybe it would roll off a cliff.
Maybe I’d push it—just a little.

If not for the kindness of others Havok Daniels would have starved a long time ago...among other things. Life has not been kind to her and her mother...lets just say she won't be winning mother of the year any time soon. That woman is something else. More worried about her next fix or how much she will be getting for the spreading of her legs, than she is worried

A name that not only portrayed a troublemaker, but one that was clearly spelt wrong..

Her life is just as messed up as her name..Havok is a girl who spends her nights trapped in her closet with her headphones on so she doesn't have to hear the unsavory things her mother does to make a living..It wasn't

What can I say....Lila has done it again. I actually think this is her best book to date. This book captured my attention from the very first page to the very last page. I finished reading this book in less then a day. It was so good I didn't want to put it down. Havok and Fade captured my heart right from the start. I connected to these two characters....they just suck you in. This book was a typical Lila Felix book,

There is something about Lila's writing that just sucks me and holds me there. I can not quite place what it is, but she is quickly turning me into a Lila addict. The premise of this book was really pretty depressing. Havok's life is horrid, yet this book while honest and hard at times is anything but depressing. I loved how strong Havok was. What I loved even more was this book was not about how insta love made her live all better. It also was not one of those first comes sex/lust then comes ...more

Felix you did it again. This was a great book. I love the POV switch between each chapter. The main characters were real. I felt like I was seeing the story unfold in front of me!
This is a great book!!!

Ask me all the ways I love me some Lila Felix and I'll tell you. The girl doesn't know how to write a bad book.

Ask me all the ways I loved this book and the swoony Fade and the tortured Jocelyn. Perfect how this couple was so awesome together.

5 stars!!

This is the first book I have read by Lila Felix and I must say that it most definitley will not be my last. Ms. Lila had me hook, line and sinker from the very first page. In fact, I read the entire book in one day.

What kept me so captivated by this book... well first off it is a brilliantly unique love story... a story of determination and survival. Much different than a lot of others out there. The book draws you in so flawlessly to where you find yourself painfully rooting for the happiness

One of the smartest things I have done, when it comes to reading, was to buy this book last night and then pick it up immediately. I read it in less than a day! I knew nothing of this book, other than I had read the synopsis. It was really so good! So worth $.99! One of the best books I have read this year so far!

Thoughts: Wow, this was so intense but so good!! I stayed up past my bedtime to finish this (lol 4:30am comes pretty quickly) but I couldn't put it down! This is a story of a very broken girl that lives with her mom but doesn't get the benefits of a normal parent. Constantly hungry and wandering the streets while her mom sells her body for coke, Havok has learned to be very

Just when you think that Lila has written her best work in her last book…….Man did she fool us!!
Seeking Havok is one of those books that has you wanting to chat with your friends about and make sure that everyone you know who reads books, adds this one to their libraries. I could not put this book down once I started it. It is definitely a page turner and will not disappoint.

ARC Review

It is no secret that I am a huge Lila Felix fan! Love her writing style, and the raw emotions she evokes through her words. I love her books so very much, and Lila just keeps getting better with every book she writes. As of today, Seeking Havok is now my favorite Lila Felix book. I absolutely loved it that much.

Havok's life is not what most of us would think of as "normal". Her mother will win no awards for "Mother of the Year", that's for sure. Yet Havok is strong and she is

This was more like 4.5 stars for me. A really well written, interesting book about a girl living with her drug addicted, prostitute mom who really develops somewhat of a Stockholm Syndrome. Even though the girl's life is terrible (she lives in the closet), never has a decent meal, and is hassled by her mother's pimp, she dutifully gets her mother up every night so her mother can make it to her stripper job, cleans up the sheets and the house after her mother's night full of johns, and leaves the ...more

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

It’s possible Lila Felix has been hanging out with the villains of Once Upon a Time because each and every time, she manages to reach a hand right in and give my heart a big squeeze! And Seeking Havok is no exception.

“I wonder if her mom is an X-men fan” I can’t help but wonder to myself as I’m reading(they take on a life of their own, and I wonder about weird things like that about them). Somehow Havok remains a strong smart-assed

ARC Review:
Havok's name is the least of her worries, babysitting her drugged up mom, sleeping in the closet & leaving the apartment for days while her mom "entertains guests" is a typical day for Havok. Her only solace is listening to Fade, her favorite DJ's soothing voice helping listeners with their problems. That is until she meets Cal *sigh* Cal is shelter from the dangerous cyclone Havok's life has become. He's willing to love her if only she'd let him into her guarded heart.

Wow, this book was really powerful and really addicting. Lila Felix took on a tough issue but made the characters loveable and my heart broke multiple times for multiple people.

What a great name for a great character in Havok. What an awesome guy and loved the radio side of Fade. What a great way to save her.

I loved this book. I loved Felix's message. I loved how it all played out. I loved the characters.

This was one of those lovely surprises - not sure if I got it when it was on sale or a freebie, but either way it was a bargain, and worth paying for. I really enjoyed the story, it was original and touching, and, while I don't mind a steamy read, this one didn't feel the need to insert the compulsory sex scene and was no weaker for it. As I said; worth a read.

I LOVED this book. It was a slow build but then BAM! It took off and was AWESOME!

Havok was so precious. Her story just ripped me to shreds.

Fade/Cal was just wonderful. Everyone should have a Fade/Cal in their lives.

I quickly became a big Lila Felix fan after reading Love and Skate. I always look forward to reading her books and I swear that they just keep getting better and better. Dare I say that this may be her best one yet. Lila continues to write these amazing stories with characters that you just fall in love with. And Seeking Havok was no different.

I loved Havok. Honestly I love all of the female characters in Lila's books but there is just something about Havok. She is so sweet

A fairly interesting read though I felt the romance was a bit forced... A fairly clean read but for those interested it should be noted that this has hookers, sex trafficking and the like.

I think this is a great book. I loved the two main characters and I could choke Havok's mother out. There were a few things that could have used a little more detail but I really enjoyed the story.

I was hooked from the beginning.Got wrapped up in who Havoc and Fade were and who they created themselves as for each other, even if they didn't know that's what they were doing. I love Havok's sarcastic personality and her strength to persevere even when the worst of the worst situations presents itself.I saw that coming right before it was confirmed and it didn't prepare me for what I felt when I realized this could and mostly is happening in my town and it just made it all the more real.
