Some of you might remember that I was feeling ill at the end of February and throughout March – in fact, I’m still not back up to 100%. The doctor has diagnosed me with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and I’m on the road to recovery, so I thought I’d better find out more about this new, life-long disease.

In this book, which can best be described as a series of questions and answers, Dr. Ashkan Farhadi tells you everything you might need to know about the condition. While he does use medical terminology, it doesn’t stop you from reading it – in fact, it’s easy to understand and easy to process, and it’s worth reading this whether you’re an IBS sufferer or the loved one of someone who’s afflicted.

The writing quality isn’t fantastic, but the author’s expertise is more important than his ability to string a sentence together. It’s well worth reading for the reassurance!
