Andi and her Kindred Protector crash land on a planet where all men lose their minds and are reduced to their most primal instincts to taste and mount their mates. Can Andi keep her new Primal Male at bay…or will she give in to the desire between them?Andi Smyth has a PhD in Medicinal Botany…and a huge crush on her Kindred Protector, a tall, muscular Hybrid called Cade. But despite the obvious attraction between them, Cade will never make a move on her…and Andi can’t figure out why.Cade knows his Hybrid status will keep him from being able to Bond with the curvy scientist he’s protecting, so he does his best to keep his distance—even though he wants her badly. But everything changes when the two of the crash land on Zo’rath Three—otherwise known as “Oblivion.” There’s a reason for the planet’s ominous nickname—something in the air interferes with the thinking patterns of males. So the minute they touch down, Cade’s consciousness is reduced to its most primal state. Andi is left on a strange planet with a huge Kindred warrior who has literally lost his mind. Cade is still very protective but his main instincts now are to taste and mount his mate—and he has totally forgotten any reservations he had about tasting Andi or taking her sexually. Can the two of them survive in this strange new environment where all the women treat their men like pets and call them “Manimals?” And will Cade ever come back to his right mind? In the meantime, can Andi keep her new Primal male from tasting her and mating with her (even though she doesn’t really want to stop him?) You’ll have to read this fated mates, coworkers to lovers, primal male, touch her and die, spicy scifi romance, Lost on Oblivion, to find out!Author’s Spice note—There are some extremely primal scenes in this book. Cade is big and strong and at times overpowers Andi when he isn’t in his right mind but Andi isn’t complaining. If that kind of thing isn’t for you, keep scrolling. But if you like spicy, primal action in your books, then Lost on Oblivion is for you! Enjoy. ; )
Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.
I actually own all 50 of the kindred tales and look forward to the next 1. Even though people have commented on how formulaic they can be, I find that each story is enjoyable in its own right. Each stirs both my passion and fulfillment in a unique way. There are many such authors in a very crowded market but not all of them accomplish what this author does very well. Writing a story based on a formula and having it still be fresh and compelling after so many books is a skill all its own. I like that she is unafraid to tackle subjects that many others find taboo or that they write in such an obscure way that the real meaning is lost in obfuscation. I'm not looking for Tolstoy's War and Peace for four dollars, but rather for some escapism, and this author provides that in spades. So keep writing, EA, and I will keep buying your books.
I rate books based on what they are supposed to be. For a batshit alien romance where the MMC has his mind temporarily reduced to a horny “manimal”, this is 5 stars!
There’s humor, a plot, loads of steam, and I loved it. First book by this author and I’m excited to dive into her back-catalog
As a reader of romance novels for over 20 years, I've explored almost every trope and sub-genre imaginable. With that seasoned expertise, I confidently assert that Ms. Anderson writes the filthiest books I've ever encountered.
There is a plot- in that this story has a beginning, a middle and an end - but I cannot for the life of me tell you what it is. I skimmed those parts like one would presumably skim through the articles in Playboy magazine.
IIRC, The MCs crash-land on a planet where horniness is in the air (yes). This seems to affect men more significantly than women. Soon, the MMC turns into a lust-crazed “manimal” . He loses his higher-order cognitive functions like thinking and reasoning, and is driven only by his base instincts (you know which ones I’m talkin’ about). The FMC is less affected and turns to the other women on the planet for help. She does a (very) half-hearted job of swatting away the MMC’s advances while trying to find a cure for him and a means of escape.
I started reading this book in earnest, expecting rich world-building and complex characters. However, once I hit the 15% mark and had been introduced to a character named “Goodie Tight-Azz”, all preconceptions flew out the window. You could tell the author had fun writing this and wasn’t taking herself seriously at all.
The plot is the book equivalent of a pizza delivery scenario in an adult film. Situations crop up for the flimsiest of reasons, just so that the MCs can get it on (sometimes with an encouraging audience).
I’ve read books where I was annoyed with the steam for getting in the way of the plot, skipping entire chapters altogether because it was “too much”. Here, I felt the opposite. The scenes weren’t the most innovative or depraved, but the author’s use of raw and coarse language made sure that you felt them all the way to your toes!
Loved it! Andi and Cade's journey to a happily ever after was hard fought. I absolutely loved how their story unfolded. To be attracted to someone but not be able to act on it because you don't know if they'll feel the same or not is SO normal! They had to go through a great deal to finally be together and I was all in. The good, scary, intimate and at last, them finally confessing their feelings. I have always loved Ms. Andersons story telling abilities. She knows just how to get a person into the story, taking them for a ride and safely putting us back on firm ground. Rollercoasters of emotion is what she writes. I have read all her books. I highly recommend this book. I received an Advanced Readers Copy for my honest opinion.
Honestly, I'm over all the "I'm a hybrid, I can't bond" bs. Do the Kindred not talk to each other? Surely by now its well known that hybrids can and do have bonded mates. The best part of this book was that it ended. I have enjoyed reading Evangeline's books for many years, but the last few have been kind of meh. Maybe try a little honesty among the couples and not throw them in to such stupid scenarios. They should understand the concept of dating by now. I give the book itself 1 ⭐ And Ms. Anderson a ⭐ for her hard work and my past enjoyment of her previous books.
I was expecting 0 plot, but then I got it in spades! I am obsessed with the world building - it was crazy, it was hilarious but also it was low-key kinda deep? It's not going to win an nobel prize, but I am still throughly impressed by the way
I also want to give a big kudos to Anderson's character development, because damn, Goodie Bo-long! What a woman! She's obviously a villain in her own right , but at the same time, can you really blame her?
Honestly the actual rating is 4.5 stars because of the incomplete resolution regarding the whole Scent thing, but still I highly enjoyed this book. And the romance was really cute as well!
Another great story from Evangeline Anderson. I loved the premise of men being reduced to the most basic level of thinking, like dogs, and then getting to see some of the story from Cade's point of view. And it made me pause and think how we make things so difficult sometimes because we hold in our thoughts, because we make assumptions about how others feel, and because we question ourselves, when at a basic level it is all so simple. The spores could strip away Cade's higher reasoning powers and even his speech and ability to communicate, but they couldn't strip away his devotion--his love--for Andi.
Andi is a medicinal botanist who is off to explore another planet w/ her sexy Kindred Protector. After encountering a meteor storm their shuttle crashes on the wrong planet! Enjoy finding out about how they reach their happily ever after by reading Lost on Oblivion. Evangeline has provided us w/ another lighthearted and funny couple in the Kindle Tales. Glad to congratulate her on her 50th title! Always a go to series when looking for something lighthearted but w/ plenty of spice. I received an ARC for my honest review!
I've said it once, and I will say it again, I would love to share some of Evangeline's thoughts. Oh, what a ride it would be. Each and every KT book just makes me want to come back to see what happens next. What did Andi get preggers with, It must have beenand is it a single pregnancy? Such a great group. Wonder if they have twins is it possible that each one would have one trait of the hybrid? Kind of like the light and dark twins...........
Thanks for all of the different variations with the Kindred, can't wait to see how high the numbers go.
Wow! This book was amazing and the names of the characters were so amusing. Cade is a Kindred hybrid and Andi is a human who studies plant biology. Together they travel to a distant planet, but folding through space takes them into an asteroid field causing them to crash land on a planet not welcoming to males. Their adventure and circumstances take them into situations they never thought possible. Loved it. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.
This book has been great from the very beginning to the end of the book. I love the making love and sometimes wish it was me with my own kindred warrior. I couldn't but the book down. I love Evangeline Anderson right from the start. She is my favorite author. I can't wait to read more books kindred warriors and their brides..😍 I liked chapter 38 very much, I would like a shower liked Goodlie's Andi new friend with helping you shower, I was laughing to the next chapter. I liked all the characters names in this book. I am reading this book with new kindle from my mum that I got for my birthday which mum let me have early. I like Flow da sometimes a lot and sometimes I feel up set for Flow da. I liked all the characters names again, Evangeline Anderson chosen names well for all books. I would like to help Evangeline chose some names for new books. If I could, maybe through her Facebook page or in the new letters by asking her readers like me. I enjoyed the last tour chapters the most in the book.😀

The supporting characters were great. I loved Flow-da, Andi's alien friend who was secretly in love with her Manimal, Hartford, and Goodie Bo-long. Even though the cause of the Manimal virus was foreshadowed in such a way that it wasn't a big surprise when the reveal happened, I still enjoyed the plot & the reveal itself.
I wouldn't say this book is so romantic as our Kindred hero, Cade, spends most of the novel having an animalistic mind, but it's quite erotic and amusing.
This book really helped me pass the time on long bus rides.
What I loved about this book is that true to the Kindred, the adoration of the males to their females is something not to be missed and Evangeline doesn't shy away from the basic tenet. Cade and Andrea have their challenges, as much from themselves as others. Goddess to the Rescue!
This is not a book to take your time with, I downloaded it this afternoon and here it is in the wee hours of the morning. Yep, I read it straight thru. Now - to go POUNCE on my husband.
As always another enjoyable and entertaining Kindred read. I tell you this series never disappoint. This read was definitely a rollercoaster of emotion, but with the added intrigue intense and steamy encounter made for a helluva read. So looking forward to the next book in this fantastic series. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed is completely my own.
I really love this series, if you love corny OTT heroes then this is for you too. Cade is protector and pilot for Andi, she's a scientist and hot for him. Crash landing on the wrong planet has them having the adventure of a life time in a week. Something is in the air alright. Cade's lost his mind, She's in danger of losing her life. Can the two of this escape this planet in one piece? Such a fun read, I highly recommend this series.
Another great kindred story. This one turns up the spice levels. We all think some men are dogs but what do you do when your coworker is infected and starts acting more like an animal? For Andi that will bring so many dilemmas. One alien planet where the woman are now the dominant species and the men are the pets or wild animals. Add in that her coworker happens to be a gorgeous kindred she has a crush on and things will get tricky and very hot.
Another great Kindred book, this one was something deliciously new with the introduction of primal play with the characters, though it wasn't all play for them due to circumstances they encountered. I won't spoil anything, but I do highly recommend this if you enjoy the other Kindred books, Evangeline Anderson's other books, or any books with protective and oversized alien males with human females.
I have read every book in this series. I thought after soo many I would be bored with them. Yet every one surprises me. I can’t get enough! I the hot and steamy sex, the story lines and of course the men. Can’t forget the women who tame them. Anyone in search of a steamy book that is something more than your typical romance, then this series is for you. Evangeline Anderson is brilliant in the way she draws you in and gets you to love her characters.
Was this book as cheesy as I predicted ? Yes. Did I enjoy every second and laugh a little? Yes, again.
I think a large percentage of women will admit they’ve briefly wondered how different life would be if men lost their intelligence and ability to reason and became pure hormone driven sex machines. A society where women are in full control . This was cheesy, hilarious , spicy , and of course had my favorite happily ever after.
This was an extra steamy edition of Evangeline's Kindred Tales series. Andi and Cade get stuck on Oblivion and Cade loses his senses and all he wants is Andi, all the time, which makes for some rather hot moments between the two of them. I really enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down. If you're looking for a spicy page turner, this one is for you!
Wow this authors book just keep getting better and better. Andie and Cade had to go through such rough times to get to their happily ever after. But they stuck together through the good the bad and the intimate. I do love the co-workers to lovers aspect of this book. This is definitely another very well written book by this author and I would highly recommend a read. Absolutely brilliant 🙂🙂

This book has it all.. Secret crush, hottest scenes ever!! Tall sexy men..powerful women.. I don't like to give too much away but this was by far one of the best Evangeline has written.. Woo wee I didn't want it to end! Totally binge read worthy!! I couldn't put it down!! 5 stars!!
Just when I think Evangeline has come up with the wildest book ever, she tops it with an ever wilder one. This book made me laugh throughout; so bizarre, wild, and extremely kinky; just the way I like them. The main female character was a bit spineless: thus the reason for 4 stars.
I was thrilled to discover that not only does Evangeline Anderson have a whole second series in the “kindred” world, but that there are at least 50 stories in it! I can’t wait to sink my teeth into them.
Uncharacteristically I started with book #50 which tells the story of Dr. Andi Smyth who is a medical botanist who goes on missions to find new species that may be used medically. Assigned to her is a kindred protector named Cade, who has worked with Andi for years and their relationship has been strictly professional. That is until they crash land on a planet with lab generated spores causing males to regress into their primal beings (aka loosing the ability to talk or reason and simply stuck on the drive to mate). The local females control them via the use of shock collars and electric prods. The rest writes itself.
Evangeline Anderson never ceases to deliver on the most creative and inventive steamy sci-fi fantasies. I really never know what she is going to come up with next. Never in a million years would I have predicted that I would enjoy this form of escape-ism, but somehow I do.
