Take a Deep Breath: A book about being brave
Lucy is afraid of dogs, Josh doesn’t like to go in the pool, Dan doesn’t want the nurse to touch his bruised knee, and Ben is afraid to go on stage in front of people. Follow along as these friends learn that when something scares them, they can take a deep breath and feel brave enough to get through their ordeals.

Meh. Way too simplistic. Even for minor fears, with young children, just saying “take a deep breath” doesn’t magically make them able to do what they’re afraid of.

Simple strategy for calming nerves illustrated by several common scary scenarios. However, should the children point and laugh at teacher's fear? Concludes with helpful resource section for parents and teachers.
